Topic: Hyperlink question

Ok I got a question I was able to do this on another site and wondered how to do it here.  When inserting a hyperlink onto a word how do you go about doing this? 

Example:  Instead of having pictures take up so much space how do you add a link to say word "here like house" and it will take you to a link of a picture.

Without spaces.

This will take you to YAHOO

Is written like this:

This will take you to [url=www.yahoo.com]YAHOO[/url]

You can even link your pictures. You just have to put the image code where you would put the (YAHOO!) text.

so you have to add the = and a ]?  also do you have to highlight the word?

Look, the link consists of three parts:

First you are telling the board HOW you want the text processed. You want a link, therefore you have to say so. Everything you put between the

[url][/url] will be shown as a hypertext.

Second you have to tell the board WHERE it should link, that's www.yahoo.com

Third, you have a text that should be displayed.

When you put the three together, you get something like this:

[url=www.where_the_text_leads.com]Any text you want, can even contain spaces or special letters, even a dot.[/url]
