For the Good of Peace

For thousands of years, mortals have been blissfully unaware of the war that was going on in the shadows.  Vampires, werewolves, warlocks and all manner of other supernatural creatures battled for power and resources, all while humanity moved on with their lives in ignorance.  However, war does not last forever and slowly, over the course of the last century, the supernatural races have come to an uneasy peace.  And with this peace, there came the need to find a way to move forward together.  But doubters linger on all sides and there are few successful cases of integration.  In a last, perhaps desperate, effort to prove that the different races can coexist successfully, several youths, one from all species that agree to the attempt, have been chosen to live and exist side by side in a mansion together.  If this fails, the possibility of renewed war lingers heavy in the air as some are claiming that if integration is impossible, then the only way for this to be resolved is for one species to dominate all others.

We have a warlock and a werewolf/witch hybrid, yes but we don't have a full witch.  Let us discuss that one a bit, in the meantime if you have a concept, please feel free to lay it out as it will give us a bit more information

The idea is to have different members of different species with the idea being to see if they can live together and get along.  So given we already have a pure-blooded magic user and a half-blood magic user, then it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to add another pure-blooded magic user.

Some examples of other species, for reference, could be sirens, various types of demons, mermaids, other types of shifters, things like that but obviously there are tons of other options.

AndyZ

Oh!  By “in play,” you mean “this is what we already have.”  Sorry, I misread it. >.<

I’ll ponder if I come up with ideas.

Ahhhh.  That’s fair.   I edited the way it reads to be more clear.

If nothing else, even if I don’t have an idea, glad I could help ^_^

Hmmm...  I have a supernatural character that I haven't got much chance to play but itch to. She's an Iara, which is a Brazilian siren...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iara_(mythology)

I usually play submissives so no issue there. And she's feminine, although one thing I find interesting about the myth is that it was originally about a male water creature so she's a genderfluid legend.

Skinwalker. In a nutshell, it's a shapeshifting witch of Native American origin. I'm taking the powers/abilities/weaknesses from the iteration in Teen Wolf.

Aside from shapeshifting, Skinwalkers have superhuman strength, heightened senses, terrakinesis, and near-immortality (or longevity). They also dabble in necromancy to a degree. Only weakness I could find is Mountain Ash, which is a series-specific substance that most supernaturals have a weakness to.

In Native American folklore, Skinwalkers are people that possess the ability to shapeshift into any animal at will. They are often referred to as medicine men, witches or, in the Navajo language, yee naaldooshii, which translates to “with it, he goes on all fours.” In most legends, Skinwalkers are considered evil, but this is subjective. They are known to be the sole curse to Skinwalker Ridge in Utah, wherein lies the mysterious Skinwalker Ranch, where all manner of unexplained activity has manifested, including livestock attacks and mutilations. So historically, they have been given a bad rap.

You most certainly have the attention of the group with this.  Could you tell us a little more about the character concept?

Sure! In a nutshell, once upon a time there was a scary male water monster in the Amazon River that attacked humans until getting over that and becoming a seductive temptress that lured humans to her embrace. Eventually that didn't provide enough companionship so she journeyed to a Brazilian city where she initially got by via street-walking until moving up to being a high-end escort. In time she acclimated to the mortal world enough to start posting pictures of herself on Instagram and gaining a significant following. It’s not all just for likes and comments about how hot she looks, she also uses her influence for environmental activism and to push LGBTQ causes, as she considers herself part of the trans community. While normally a charming and accommodating sort, there still lurks a monster with in her.

Now folklore refers to both Iara as a singular entity and as a name for siren/mermaid creatures in her culture. So due to her social nature and knowledge of modern human culture, she could either represent sirens/mermaids in general or just Brazilian creatures similar to her.

The fairy ideas has us intrigued.  Did you have any other thoughts on a character design?

Are you still looking for a submissive female? I don't think I could play a completely  submissive one but could do a very earthy type. Kind to animals, good with plants the one who always breaks up fights not starts them. Or perhaps a trickster kind lightfingered gets others in to trouble
