I have been toying with doing a f/f roleplay involving a romance between a lady knight (the character I am seeking a player for) and a half elf entertainer (my own character).  Since the characters are evolutions of ones I have used in other RPGs (though never together) I do have an unusually well fleshed out backstory for the character I am seeking a player for whom I will call Aria for the time being.

Nala

Aria is a young noblewoman seeking to prove mettle to her famiy who want her to stop playing knight errant and continue the family line.  Deprived of a good war to fight in, she travels from her home kingdom to a more metropolitan Empire seeking to work as a gladiator or perhaps some kind of sponsored adventurer (that's where the Golden Lily moniker would come in -Golden Knight is another possibility).  Nala is a magic wielding travelling entertainer nicknamed the Desert Rose.  Aria is entranced by Nala when she sees the half elf perform at one of the stops on her journey and later ends up rescuing the half elf from some kind of danger.  A grateful Nala then reveals that she had already noticed Aria's interest in her when she was performing and also finds the young knight very attractive as well, which leads into the two of them spending the night together and becoming travelling companions.

One scene I would particularly like to play is one where Nala decides to reward Aria by pretending to be a pleasure slave.  Though despite playing a supposedly submissive role I'm thinking she might actually be the one guiding the less experienced Aria with questions/suggestions such as "how may I serve you mistress?" and "Shall I ____ for you mistress?"  No whips or chains: this is Nala playing to Aria's fantasies about harem girls in exotic, far off lands.

I should note that I don't imagine the setting as having any religious taboos against same sex relationships, though I am thinking Aria tries to hide the fact that she likes girls because of her family's demands that she be a good daughter and marry a young man of good breeding so she can continue the family line.  Women are not expected to dress like nuns either, though long skirts are the norm for women in Aria's homeland and Nala's costumes are notably skimpy even by the standards of the more cosmopolitan Empire.  Should Aria pursue a career as a gladiator I could see Nala helping design some costumes that the young knight finds embarrassing to wear, at least until she gains some confidence.

I should also note that the sample images I selected are not necessarily meant to be exact depictions of the characters.  I envision Nala's dance costumes being much more colorful for instance, while Aria will probably keep the blue and white color scheme but wear more armor protection then the character she's modelled on. I was thinking maybe a gambeson made out of some sort of fantastical armor silk plus a good brigandine and gauntlets. I don't want to go so far as to make her wear a full on suit of plate (especially since she doesn't have a squire to help her take her armor on and off) but this isn't a setting where bikini armor is considered practical outside of a gladatorial arena.

In terms of posting rate I would like to maintain a steady but manageable rate.  I like to have a fair bit of back and forth when characters are interacting so aside from some scene setting posts most shouldn't need to be more then a few paragraphs.

Bump for August.

I thought it might be useful to add a few details about some aspects of the setting while I was at it.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Elves

As is often the case in my settings, elves aren't that much longer lived then humans though they tend to be less affected by old age then humans are.  They can easily live to be well over one hundred years old, but relatively few make it anywhere close to two hundred.  As such they tend to have a longer term outlook then humans but not to anything like the degree that many fantasy elves do.  Also as with many of my settings there are no drow though elves with dark skin do exist.

Healing Magic

Speaking of lifespans, healing magic is widely available in this setting so people tend to be relatively healthy and long lived.  This is not a grimdark setting full of short life expectancies.  The availability of healing magic also means that gladatorial combat can be both intense yet also generally nonlethal.

Religions

All the major cultures in this setting are polytheistic though their pantheons may differ.  It is not uncommon for organizations to have a patron diety.

The Order of the Lily

This is the all female order of Knights that Aria is part of.  The blue orb and white flowers amulet she wears (see the background of her nude image) is their symbol.  I haven't entirely decided whether they're light cavalry or mage knights since I wanted to give Aria's player a chance to have some input on that (there are pros and cons to both approaches).  The Knights of the Lily place a high emphasis on preparedness which is part of my justification for Aria wearing a gambeson made out of fantastical armor silk rather then a suit of plate that she would require help getting on and off.

The Queendom of Aralon

Aralon is Aria's homeland and is currently ruled by a Queen.  For centuries it has maintained its independence from the neighbouring Velosian Empire through a combination of geography, alliances with other small monarchies, and where necessary demonstrations of martial prowess.  It has a feudal hierarchy but forbids slavery.  Chivalry and family lineages are taken very seriously.  Clothing and architecture follow a vaguely medieval european aesthetic.  Standards of dress are more conservative then in some of the other nations though cleavage baring dresses are popular to the point of being something of a national stereotype.  An Aralonian noblewoman like Aria would also have few qualms about having a maid(s) help her bathe and dress though she would probably find skinny dipping like a commoner scandalous (Aria herself has probably gotten used to bathing in steams and such while roughing it as a knight however).

The Kingdom of Zhakar

This is the desert kingdom that Nala was born in though as a runaway she has not been back for many years.  Aria's impression of this far away land comes primarily from traveller's tales which often concentrate on its more lascivious aspects such as pleasure harems.  Nala is likely to both broaden Aria's knowledge and play to her fantasies.

The Velosian Empire

The Velosian Empire is the largest and most prosperous nation on the continent and is widely considered a centre of culture despite its widespread use of slavery.  Due to trade the Empire is very cosmopolitan though the dominant Imperial aesthetic has a rather Greco Roman flare with columned architecture and draped clothing such as togas, tunics, and chiton gowns (trousers are widely seen as barbaric though they are sometimes worn in the border regions near Aria's homeland).  Imperial culture has great admiration for the human (and elvish) form and few qualms about nudity as long as it is in an appropriate context such as a bath house or athletics tournament.  While not considered normal attire entertainers such as dancers and gladiators can also get away with wearing very revealing attire like Nala does.
