I'm not sure I'd require Provisional Sect Member for a Setite--Setites are prone to infiltrating various groups to spread the faith, after all. (also oh my god that backstory omg omg omg YES). How long will she have been in Anchorage? I'm totally not asking that to see how you'd write that in the in-character voice of the backstory, no, don't mind me

I honestly am not sure. was thinking like 4-6 max.... *does a little googling* Apparently, for races, most teams are between 4-10. But yeah, I wasn't thinking a race, just something small to get around the wilderness with. So like, 4 would be good. I may be formulating an idea for a Gangrel.

I'd be willing to let Retainers count as a two-for-one if you're getting sled dogs. Two points of Retainer for four dogs, for example? Normally I wouldn't do that, but dogs have limited utility as ghouls, so I think a two-for-one is fair here, given that blood upkeep might also be kinda on the tricky side!

Yeah, I didn't think about the blood upkeep. Idle curiosity, what if they weren't ghouls? Perhaps with the Animal Affinity merit. Count em as part of a herd?

Oh! That would be kinda neat as an approach. I'm very open to that. Herd is also more 'numbers' friendly, too? Two dots gets you seven vessels there!

Plus then they can be fully independent good boys. Protect the dogs at all costs. Anyone who hurts the dogs gets boiled alive by Henri, no debate.

I've updated Jordan a bit and under Freebie Points have broken down her spends. I did give her 1pt in status among the Camarilla to suggest she's known in Anchorage and been recognized by the Prince. If that doesn't sound right, lemme know and I'll change the point to somewhere else.

Once I've gotten her points locked down, Jordan will narrate her move to Anchorage.

I have been debating fiddling with my OG Malkie from the BIG game...remember Alyx? I know they could wiggle in here alright and I would only have to change a few things as the way I'd play them has shifted.

Honestly? Most of my character concepts are just average humanity and can swing either way depending upon circumstances. Alyx? The one I am gonna rework, had a humanity of 7...bout average for their concept of a switchboard operator for a Mental Health Facility. I don't see that bit changing much. Locked in too hard on the human side of things and you ruin the slow slide into horror and depravity that happens when a Malk lets loose.

Hey your characters humanity comes from a slightly higher level of conscience which I think is a moral win really.

Request for my approved players: please head out of the recruitment thread and take chatter to the approved player areas! This decreases chatter I and prospective players have to sift through so I (and they) can more easily find what I need. I love the enthusiasm a lot, I just need to be sure I'm not missing posts from prospective players who need me to look at something or have a question for me!

Sole exception: if you are already an approved player and you want to plot a pre-existing character connection to a prospective player character who is still being evaluated here, that's still okay!  I do wish to encourage those sorts of connections, and it does help me decide if I want to accept a prospective player if they are vibing/plotting already with someone. :)

Speaking of pre existing connections, just wanna put this out there before I do a fully fledged sheet. I had the idea for my character to have grown up working at her parents shop, like an outdoorsy type place a la Bass Pro Shop or Cabella's or something similar. A few years back, her parents had some sort of accident and passed away, and either she couldn't handle things herself, or someone came in and bought the place out from under her. I figure it was collateral damage of some sort of ventrue (or other clan)'s machinations, and a local Gangrel swooped in and embraced my girl to try to continue their rivalry and use mine against them or something.

Definitely could see some PCs being related to this little conflict, even if indirectly.

Alright, I'll get started on a sheet now too! I've decided to go with the grittier Gangrel embrace idea for now. Woulda done it a bit sooner, but this weekend was a bit busy!
