Would Shustihos do for “basic” piloting skills?

To teach, you need to have 2 ranks over the trainee.. so if you have 2 ranks in pilot (planetary) and Leadership ranks to actually train... sure.... :) if not, then its like blind leading the blind and deaf...

Both Shustihos and Rissa can pilot ... but not great. Rissa can also man guns with 3A.  (I think Shipwright could be in her future)

Background currently in progress, looking at making him an explorer out from the Ascendency, joining the Imperial Scout corps figuring it was a good way to see the galaxy then going AWOL after a big battle after seeing just how many atrocities the Empire is willing to commit. Joined the rebellion not too long after and uses his talents to help give information to the alliance.

(only reason I would consider imperial part to that character)

The system isn't complicated.  Don't overcomplicate it!  Just swap it out and try to make sure the encumbrance makes sense.

At work so poking wiki and daydreaming is all I can do!  Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something without having the pdfs at hand.

Which good stuff are you refering to ? (Training lightsaber that does only STUN??) Its 400cr and not even restricted item to buy... go nuts....

Improved armor master is 40xp for jedi but 100xp for bounty hunter. Although bounty hunter path hits dedication getting it so 5 brawn!
Also that wiki is the one I use. It's a very nice one so thanks for your effort.

There's armor mods to have integrated weapons, I believe it's in either Special Modifications or the base book.

Melee/tank ish build. More melee than tank just want to keep from swapping weapons so sap gloves, wrist mounted blaster on right arm, wrist mounted flamethrower on left arm, a shield (looking at riot but other options too). I know the wrist mount is a 2 hp mod for each weapon and I've not mathed the costs yet to see how far can take it. But before gear was 5 brawn, 17 wound, 14 strain, 5 or 6 soak

1.  No.  You will start media res within the Imperial listening station.  You got there via launched glider, which crashed in the jungle.  Your pilot died.  In the game, you will acquire a lambda shuttle.
