sloane

WELCOME!

hello! my name is sloane and this is my request thread! a bit about me: i'm twenty-four years old, i live in the EST time zone, and i'm currently pursuing a graduate certificate in interactive media, which means i'm on my laptop almost all the time.

i've been roleplaying for almost twelve years now, and i can confidently say that i've become a much better writer in the many years that have passed. in fact, one of my dreams is to publish a book (or a series of books. who among those with literary aspirations wouldn't want to see their name on a best seller list?).however, i have a tendency to get distracted easily, which is why over the past few years, i've ended up with 8 works in progress — none of which have more than ten chapters written. i know it's a horrible habit, but i'm working on it! fortunately, it's a habit that has stuck to novel writing and daily mundane tasks, and not roleplaying.

anyway, back to the topic at hand: me! i want to list out a few things about me as a writer, just so you know what you're heading into, and then after reading through that, we can all get to the fun stuff.

p.s, don't let the lowercase fool you! i assure you that i use proper capitalisation when roleplaying. :)

ABOUT ME & YOU
tl;dr — 300 - 600 words | female mains in mxf pairings | 40/60 smut/plot | fairly active

› POST LENGTH / WRITING
i average around 300 - 600 words per post. i can definitely do more, but rarely do i write less. i'm also a strong believer in quality over quantity. as long as i have enough to respond to and it's more than just three or four lines, we're good! i also expect potential partners to be fairly fluent in the english language, and be able to write with proper sentence structure, appropriate punctuation, and correct spelling. we're all human and we all make mistakes of course — i know i myself have much to improve on as english isn't my first language — but i need to be able to understand what's being written. i shall add writing samples below so potential partners can determine for themselves whether or not they think they might enjoy writing with me, but i may ask potential partners for a sample as well, just to ensure that we both will enjoy this experience, as we should!

› CHARACTERS
i primarily play female mains in m/f pairings, however i am more than capable of playing any and all genders and sexualities. this usually shows in my variety of side characters, but i'm not opposed to taking on additional main characters as well. in the case of multiple characters, i'm fine with any pairings, but will usually want at least one m/f pairing, in which i portray the female. your irl gender doesn't matter to me! when it comes to writing, i focus on the characters and the story, and the ability to plot with my partner. as an additional note, i also tend to only play characters between the ages of 18 and 28, since it's what i'm most comfortable with. i do not mind considerable age gaps (provided all characters involved are legal, consenting adults) but would prefer that they not be beyond ten years. in terms of face claims, i prefer using realistic ones, usually celebrities and/or models.

› SMUT
i enjoy writing smut, but i don't want it to be the focus of any roleplay unless specified beforehand. for me, most of the time, plot comes first!

› COMMUNCATION
i love ooc chatting! i wouldn't say i require you to be as active in the ooc chat as i likely will be, but you can expect me to pop in every now and then to simply say hello and ask how your day is going. i can also use discord for ooc, but ooc only.

› PLOTTING
i love plotting! i can get bored with a story if no plotting takes place and i can assure you that i will definitely contribute to it. i would prefer that my writing partners engage in a good amount of plotting as well. there's nothing more exciting than being able to bounce ideas off of my partners so we can create a story that we both enjoy! lack of plotting can make me lose interest very quickly, and will lead to me dropping the story.

› ACTIVITY
it depends on my schedule. my classes are online which means that i'll likely be on elliquiy for most of the day to respond to messages and such, but i have class only four days of the week, so most of my other time is spent catching up on both assignments and replies. i can usually get out a reply once a day, often more, but i don't want to promise that either because things can get hectic out of nowhere. i'll rarely take more than a week to respond though. if it's ever going to be that long, i'll be sure to let my partners know. in turn, i expect my partners let me know if they'll be gone for too long! i don't require replies every day, though i feel the need to mention that if i'm constantly waiting weeks for replies, i may lose interest in the story.

that's all the boring stuff done with! i will be adding plots and such in the next post so if anything catches your eye, or if you think we'd be good partners and have some similar interests, feel free to pm me! my inbox is always open. :)

oh, and as promised, here are the writing samples!

illusive
A/N: i wrote this story based on a prompt as a little writing exercise! here is the prompt that this is based off of: 'Your protagonist awoke from a nightmare to find an object from his/her dream laying on the pillow.'

His lungs burned. His legs felt like they would soon turn to jelly. Despite this, Sasha continued to run, trying to put as much distance as he could between himself and the darkness that threatened to consume him. The faster he ran, the door at the end of the dark hallway seemed to only get further away. Footsteps echoed behind him like heavy boots against a tiled floor, but Sasha didn't dare look back. He was too close to escaping to risk a move like that.

It felt like it had taken significantly longer than it should have, but he finally reached the door. Sasha never got to see what waited for him on the other side, however, because as soon as he reached for the handle, he felt something sharp embed itself into his spine. There was a sharp pain at first that froze his body, and then nothing. All he felt as he collapsed to the floor was a numbness that continued to spread till it reached the tips of his fingers and toes. The footsteps slowed to a stop and the brief moment of silence that passed was followed by a loud squelch. Sasha couldn’t feel it but he knew that the sound came from his back, as whatever had impaled him was being pulled out.

Little droplets of blood splashed across his face as a metal object clattered to the floor by his face, and Sasha blinked several times before recognising that the object he’d been hit with had been a silver dagger. The wooden hilt had some words etched into it, but the letters appeared all jumbled so he couldn’t read it.

He couldn’t read it.

This wasn’t real. There was no corridor, there was no door, there was no dagger. More importantly, there was nobody after him. This was all a nightmare, and as soon as Sasha convinced himself of that, the next time he blinked he realised he was somewhere else. It was still dark, but he was no longer in the same place he’d been in his dream. Sasha was now in a bedroom. It wasn’t his own bedroom, but it looked familiar nonetheless. He’d been here before, but at the moment he couldn’t recall when or why.

A few moments passed before Sasha felt his racing heart begin to slow down. This allowed him to sit up in bed. He was confused and curious and drenched in sweat. Eager to make sense of what was happening, he reached out to turn on the lamp that sat on the bedside table. As soon as light filled the room though, Sasha noticed his fingers were tainted bright red. He brought his hands closer to inspect them and then looked down to see that they were not the only things that seemed to be stained. His clothes weren’t drenched because of sweat — large splotches of blood covered what had previously been a bright, blue shirt, and traces of it had gotten on the sheets beneath him as well.

Sasha’s heart began to hammer away in his chest again as panic seeped in. He scrambled to his feet, ripping the sheets off of the bed to see if he was alone or not. Nobody else seemed to be in the room but something sat atop one of the pillows. The sight of the blade glinting against the light of the lamp made his blood run cold, and even though he was sure he knew what it was, Sasha leaned forward to pick it up.

It was the same blade from his dream, and the blood along the tip seemed crusted. It wasn’t fresh. Not from the past hour or so, at least. Remembering his dream, Sasha turned the dagger over in his hands, searching the wooden hilt for the etched words he’d been unable to read earlier. He looked over the entire thing three times and found nothing, and that brought him some temporary relief. Maybe this wasn’t as crazy as it seemed. Maybe the dagger and the dream were just a coincidence.

But what explained the blood? And the fact that he wasn’t in his own bedroom? And—

Sasha’s descent into his spiral of troubling thoughts was briefly put on hold when he realised that he failed to notice something that had been staring him in the face. Above the bed, among smatterings of blood droplets, were four words that seemed like they’d been carved into the wallpaper. Sasha didn’t need to try and guess what words had been etched into the hilt of the dagger in his dream because he was confident they were the very same words he was looking up at now, and as he recited them over and over in his head, it only added to the dread that pooled in the base of his stomach.

What have you done?
a journey for a friend
A/N: this is a little challenge i created for myself to write from hedwig's perspective since i believe she was an important character in the books! this is a scene not played out in the books, but was mentioned, explaining that Hedwig went to deliver a birthday present to Hermione while she was on holiday with her parents in France. I thought it would be interesting to write a scene in Hedwig’s perspective as she travels to a new land, and better yet, a scene we don’t know much about.

The sudden breeze was welcomed by the snowy owl as she soared over a beautiful looking town. It definitely helped propel her forward, getting her to her destination faster.

Well, she didn’t exactly have a proper destination, but rather a person she needed to get to. Hedwig had been entrusted with a task, and she would carry it out to the best of her abilities. Granted, it was one of the hardest she had gotten in a while. Usually when she was asked to deliver something, Hedwig wasn’t required to leave the country. This time though, things were different. She’d crossed borders, the weather had changed, and the language people spoke were different. Hedwig rarely dipped down for a break in cities she flew over, mainly because she was determined to finish delivering her parcel. She was on a deadline. A girl’s thirteenth birthday depended on it!

That was what Hedwig kept telling herself to keep her wings flapping, and to get her mind off of the fact that her claws were getting painfully sore from having such a firm grip on the package Harry had given to her. All he had told her was a name. That was the only thing Hedwig needed before she was on her way. There was no shifting on her talons hesitantly, nor did any sound of protest leave her beak. This was what Hedwig was supposed to do. She did anything and everything to be a good owl to Harry, and she felt, quite frankly, her relationship with her person was much better than the relationship shared with many other wizards and their owls. Hedwig liked to think she was more than just a messenger. She was a companion. A companion especially during hard times, like in that horrible nest occupied by the Dursley’s.

If Hedwig were to protest at all for taking on the task Harry assigned to her, it would only be because she was unsure about leaving him alone with his aunt and uncle. This was just another reason why she was determined to finish her job quickly. So she could return to him as quick as possible.

Hedwig wasn’t entirely sure where she was now. In the distance, she saw a tall looking structure that looked a lot like the letter ‘A’. She had seen Harry scribble it onto papers all the time, so Hedwig liked to think that she was a bit familiar with the language. She also noticed that this tall structure would give her a good vantage point, and some time to rest, so she flapped her wings a little faster to get there, and perched herself on one of the ledges. It was hard to balance with the package still in her clutches, but somehow, she managed.

From up there, Hedwig could see a lot, and better yet, she was able to focus on a lot. Like a bunch of people making their way up the very structure that Hedwig had decided to use as her resting place for a few minutes. She also spotted a few bakeries nearby and cobblestone pathways that she was sure were lined with mice or rats. It reminded her of just how long it had been since she went on a hunt for some food for herself. For a moment, she forgot about her task, when she spotted a frog leaping around in a pond a bit of a distance away. The very sight of it made Hedwig want to dive right in. Poor thing wouldn’t even know what was coming, but it would make a nice meal…

No. No, Hedwig couldn’t take a break. Not till she found who she was looking for. So she resumed her search, letting her large eyes scan the area. She knew she was close. She could sense it.

And then, after a few moments, there she was, walking behind an older man and woman, hair still just as bushy as Hedwig remembered. Harry’s term at Hogwarts had not ended very long ago after all, so she didn’t look very different. The snowy owl gave a small shriek of excitement before she left her perch, so as to not lose the bushy haired girl.

It hardly took her time to near the family of three, and soon enough, Hedwig had flown ahead of Hermione, only to stop right in front of her, still flapping her wings to try and hover in the air. Hermione came to a sudden stopped, seemingly surprised, till she recognised the owl in front of her. After that, her expression shifted and Hedwig knew she was happy to see her.

“Hedwig!” She held her arm out immediately, which Hedwig was thankful for because she didn’t know how long she could hover in the air. Owls were not hovering birds.

She perched herself on Hermione’s arm, being careful not to let her claws dig into her sweater, while Hermione reached out to take the package from between her talons. After looking at the front, where Hedwig knew Harry had scrawled something onto it with his quill, Hermione grinned wider.

“Hermione?” Hedwig now looked away from Harry’s friend, to see her parents, who were approaching with curious looks on their faces.

“Harry sent me a present!” Hermione told them with a gleeful tone. “Thanks Hedwig. That must have been a tiring journey for you to come all the way to France.” Hedwig did not know where France was, but she was right. It had been a long and tiring journey, but Hedwig was happy that she had been able to make it on time, and make Hermione happy.

She gave a small hoot of agreement and affectionately nibbled the top of Hermione’s ear before Hermione spoke again. “Oh, hold on for a moment, I should write something for you to take back for him,” she said, and Hedwig took that as a sign to leave her hand so she would be free to move around. Instead, Hedwig perched herself on the window sill of what looked like a restaurant, considering she could see people inside eating. Hermione went into that very restaurant, followed by her parents.

Hedwig couldn’t clearly see what she was doing, but soon enough, she came back out, putting a piece of paper in an envelope. Before she handed it to Hedwig though, she pulled a small paper bag that had been wedged underneath her arm. Reaching into it, Hermione pulled something out and held it out to Hedwig. It was oddly shaped, kind of like an oversized earth worm. Hedwig knew about those little critters that lived in the ground, because when she was exceptionally bored and found nothing to hunt, she would try to play around and catch them when they were peeping out from the earth. This was not the same, but whatever it was, Hedwig thought it looked very appetising, so she gobbled it all up. And it tasted divine.

Hermione chuckled. “You’re in France, so it only makes sense that you eat like the French. Escargot. It’s French for Snails. I didn’t know if you’ve eaten it before but I read that owls eat snails.”

Hedwig had never eaten snails, but she now knew that she loved them, so she gave a loud, excited hoot. Hermione, hearing this, offered her more till there was none left in the bag. She felt satisfied now. She had her meal, she delivered the package, and she was ready to go back home to her person.

“Thanks again, Hedwig,” Hermione said, handing her the envelope that she was meant to deliver back to Harry. “I’ll see you when the new term begins!”

And, with yet another hoot of approval, Hedwig took off into the air. It was a long journey back home, but the exhaustion and the hunger was worth it if it meant she would be eventually reunited with her best friend.
into the woods
“I didn’t even know we had a place called Crete,” Dean muttered as he drove past the large signboard which welcomed them into the small village in Will County, Illinois. “Isn’t that some city in Greece?”

“An island, actually,” Sam replied, looking closely at the map in his hand. “In fact, the biggest island in Greece.” At this point, however, Sam was past giving his brother a disappointed look for his lack of historical knowledge. “Also, take a left up here,” he added, gesturing with one hand to a turning in the road. It was dark out, and they’d been driving most of the afternoon and evening. Originally, the brothers had decided to go through with their newest supernatural investigation in the morning, after catching up on some sleep, but since the site of all the accidents were reported to be close to the entrance of the small village known as Crete, they had decided to get it over with and then check into a motel.

As they neared the spot that Sam had marked in his map, he held a hand out as a signal to slow down. “Yeah, the disappearances usually happen around here.”

It was a normal looking road, that presumably headed deeper into a part of the village. On either side of the road were trees. The forest was dense, by the looks of it, however it was also dark so Sam didn’t know for sure.

Dean parked the car on the side of the road and cut the engine, following which, both boys stepped out, with Sam abandoning the map in his seat before he shut the door and moved to the trunk.

“What exactly are we dealing with again?” Dean asked as he popped the trunk to survey what weapons they had. Unless they knew what they were dealing with, it would be hard to choose what exact weapon would help them defeat whatever supernatural force they were up against.

“Apparently, for the past two weeks, any family entering or leaving the village has been stopped at the border by something,” Sam explained, reaching for a knife that was coated in bronze. “It’s only families that have been attacked. Specifically families with little kids, because… well, it’s the kids that end up dead.”

Dean looked at Sam with a disgusted expression. “This thing is killing kids? Innocent children? And what happens to their folks?”

Sam shrugged. “All of them are usually unconscious when it happens. They swerve after seeing something on the road, and they get knocked out. When they wake up, they’re the only ones left in the car.”

“So what you’re telling me is that we have no idea what we’re dealing with?” Dean concluded.

Sam pursed his lips. “Not exactly. One eyewitness, a teenage girl, said that she saw… a shark.”

Dean stared at him. “A shark?” He echoed. “In the woods? What, is there some huge lake in there, or something?”

Sam shook his head. “She said, and I’m quoting her here, that she ‘saw a woman turn into a shark’ right before her eyes. Rows of teeth and all. I’m guessing it’s probably like a humanoid shark? Like a few months ago, when we had to deal with Black Bill.”

Dean took a moment but then remembered what Sam was talking about. “Guy with a goat head. Right. So if it’s a shark, do we just go in with guns and hope it works?”

“Well,” Sam held up the bronze coated knife he’d just picked up. “I did a little research and, if this is something to do with gods like Black Bill, then I think I might know what we’re dealing with.”

Dean remained silent, as if to let Sam continue, and so he did.

“In Greek mythology, there was this woman named Lamia. She had an affair with the king of the gods, Zeus, and when his wife found out, she wasn’t all that happy about it so she… she stole Lamia’s children and murdered them.”

“So we’re dealing with another god? Didn’t we already deal with Zeus?” Dean looked exhausted as he grabbed a shotgun for himself and then shut the trunk after also pulling out a flashlight.

“No, not a god. So, after Lamia’s children were murdered, Zeus turned her into a shark-like monster so she could devour other innocent children for revenge.” The idea sounded bizarre to Sam, but then again, so were most of the supernatural creatures they dealt with.

“So we’re dealing with a crazy shark lady who eats children,” Dean summed up, which was more of an accurate conclusion this time around, so Sam nodded.

“When we were dealing with Zeus, normal weapons didn’t work, but he was a god and Lamia, well she’s a monster. And in Greek lore, monsters could apparently be killed with bronze so hopefully this works,” Sam said, twirling the blade between his fingers before gripping it firmly at the hilt.

“Alright then,” Dean said, turning on his flashlight and directing it toward the dense forest. “Let’s go kill this bitch.”

And so they went. The two brothers ventured into the woods, trying to listen for anything besides the sound of leaves crunching under their feet, or the sounds of crickets chirping and making the night a little less eerily quiet.

It wasn’t long before they both began to hear some odd sounds. Sam could have sworn he heard a low growl. He didn’t even know sharks could growl. All that came to his mind was the image of a shark snapping its jaws shut on his face, as if this was some sort of movie.

Then again, the whole lives of the Winchester brothers could be turned into a movie with all they experienced on a daily basis.

Sam held his knife up in a defensive position and Dean stood a few feet away, shotgun at the ready. “Sharks can probably smell us right? So we need to —“

Whatever Dean had been about to say was stopped abruptly and Sam spun around to see that Dean was no longer where he had been standing a second ago. In his place was… well, for lack of better word, a shark. Only not completely a shark. The head of the Lamia was definitely very sharklike, but as he looked lower, its body seemed to be morphed into a more feminine build. But that wasn’t all, by the time his gaze reached her feet, he noticed that she didn’t have any. Instead, her legs seemed to be stuck together, as one giant, slithering tail. The Lamia was like a mix of a human female, a shark and a giant snake.

It wasn’t a very appealing sight. Certainly not while she had now set her eyes on him and was now slithering toward him at a pace that was faster than Sam had expected.

“Dean?” He called out, somewhat cautiously, because he didn’t know where his brother was. If he had to guess, he’d been knocked aside after being caught off guard.

Sam’s first instinct was to raise his bronze coated knife, but as the Lamia got closer and Sam could see just how big she was, he suddenly felt like the knife was a needle in comparison, so his next instinct was to turn and run.

Before he could actually act on that instinct, the Lamia came to a stop, alongside the sound of a shot ringing out. Sam peered to the side to see Dean standing a few feet away from the Lamia, with a nasty bruise on his forehead. His gun was held up and he prepared to fire again.

The Lamia turned on him as Dean fired another shot. It only seemed to be slowing her down though, instead of actually causing much damage, because she continued to slither toward Dean, just at a slower pace.

Dean kept firing shots, and Sam realised that this was an opportunity, since the Lamia was ignoring him for the time being. Gripping the hilt of the knife, Sam rushed forward and then leaped. The tip of the knife dug itself into the back of the Lamia’s head, and as Sam lost momentum and fell to the ground, the knife moved along with him, making a huge gash along the back of the lamia’s head, all the way up to her neck.

At this point, when Sam retracted his arm, he had already been sprayed with blood — he thought it was blood, because it wasn’t red like normal blood was — but as he looked closer, he realised that the edges of the large cut he’d created in the Lamia’s skin was glowing, almost like her skin was burning away.

The Lamia stopped her pursuit of Dean and was now standing in one place, roaring out as if she could do something to stop the burning.

Sam watched as the glowing spread all over her body, before consuming her whole, and the Lamia exploded, leaving behind dust and some weird black goo in her wake.

Dust and black goo that now coated parts of him and Dean.

“Well, damn,” Dean muttered, lowering his gun a bit and staring at the place where the Lamia had been standing a moment ago. “Bronze works really well on these suckers.”

Sam let out an exhausted sigh and nodded, looking at the blood soaked knife in his hands. “Yeah, looks like it.” He knelt down and shoved the blade into the ground to use the mud of the forest floor to clean the knife. When he pulled it out, it was more or less clean, and he used his outer flannel shirt to clean off the remaining since his shirt was ruined too anyway.

“Another day, another job,” Dean said, now falling into step beside Sam as both brothers began to make their way toward the Impala.

“Yeah, I’m about ready to crash,” Sam said as they neared the car and opened up the trunk to toss the knife in.

“Me too,” Dean nodded and shut the trunk before going around to his side of the car — which was, as always, the driver’s side. “But first, let’s see if there’s some joint open at this time of night that sells pie.”

[ credit for all of these to plotsforall on tumblr! ]

PLOTS
just as a navigation note, plots with a bit more smut are listed toward the bottom!

i found most of these plots on tumblr & other rp forums, so credit to the internet for helping me find them! i am not limited to these plots; if you have a plot or idea you think i might enjoy based on the themes i've expressed an interest in so far, feel free to pitch it!

01: HALFWAY
after being wrongly imprisoned for 2 years, muse a gets out on parole. adjusting to life on the outside is difficult with a conviction on their record, especially since no one knows the truth– which is that muse a was innocent and had to take the fall for someone who was threatening their family.

as a term of their parole, muse a must live in a halfway house and maintain employment for 6 months without committing any criminal offenses or they risk an immediate return to prison. muse a just wants life to return to something resembling normal, so they take the first job opportunity that will have them. muse b is a customer who frequents muse a’s place of work. although muse a tries to keep to themselves in order to avoid any potential trouble, muse b manages to crack muse a’s hardened exterior.

over time, muse b becomes someone whom muse a looks forward to seeing and spending time with. as a tentative relationship grows, muse a starts to feel like they can put their unjust past behind them.

that is until muse b invites muse a to meet their sibling, muse c, who muse a recognizes as the person they went to prison because of.

now muse a must decide whether their budding relationship with muse b is more important to them than seeking revenge on muse c and jeopardizing their freedom.

02: VILLAINOUS NIGHTS
in a world where mutants live among humans, muse a is utterly ordinary; aside from the fact that they work in the building dedicated to assisting mutants fit into society.

however, their thoughts begin to change when the building is broken into by a group of rebel mutants who hide behind masks.

muse b, not wanting any witnesses, takes muse a to their lair in order to get more time.

it comes to light that the company muse a works for is not quite as good as it seems and muse b may have a reason to fight.

03: HEIST HELP
when muse a posts about their financial struggles on social media, they expect a handful of sympathy likes and a couple of encouraging comments from friends and strangers alike. what they don’t expect is a dm from an unfamiliar account (muse b’s), promising a fast cash source if they’re truly desperate.

muse a is certain that this offer has to be something obscene, which they’re not willing to do no matter what, but muse b insists that there’s nothing seedy involved. all they ask is that muse a meet them in person to discuss details if they’re serious. muse a leaves the dm unanswered for a few days, until an unwanted reminder of their money troubles shows up.

muse a agrees to meet with muse b somewhere public and when they get to talking, muse b reveals that they’ve been planning to steal from their boss who’s slighted them in some way [passed over for a promotion, subject of harassment, etc.], but they need someone else to do it so they won’t be easily connected to the crime.

neither muse a or muse b are expert criminals; muse a has never so much as stolen a piece of candy from a store but the money is too appealing not to try. plus, muse b seems confident that this will work. muse b lets muse a into the target’s house during a social event with instructions on how to find the boss’ money stash and where to meet them later on to split it.

04: THE BUCKET LIST
muse a, muse b and muse c were childhood friends. they were the three musketeers, and they rarely did anything without one another.

somewhere along the line, it seemed like muse a and muse b may have had a thing for another. maybe it stretched beyond just 'a thing', but along the way, something happened to cause a rift between the two of them and things were never the same again.

since it all happened around the time that high school got over, once graduation came and went, muse a, muse b and muse c all went their separate ways, with muse c being the only one in contact with either of them, though separately.

five years later, after finishing with college and starting to move on with their lives, both muse a and muse b get a call from muse c's mother informing them of his death. apparently he'd been battling with a fatal disease for a while but never told either muse a or muse b, despite speaking to them frequently over the past five years.

both former friends stop everything and head back to their small hometown for the funeral. there's a little tension in meeting one another again but they keep things together for the sake of muse c.

during the wake, muse c's mother leads the two former friends to muse c's room where he left a bunch of stuff for them. after digging through it all, they stumble upon a bucket list that muse c started to make the moment he found out he was sick. only one thing seems to be crossed out on the list though, and both muse a and muse b feel sad that muse c couldn't complete it, so they decide to set their differences aside, take some time off, and try to complete everything on muse c's bucket list together.

along the way, some unresolved issues are likely to pop up, and some can hopefully be laughed about. more importantly, the spark between muse a and muse b never faded away after all these years, despite the fact that muse a is now seeing someone else, so who's to say what else could happen during this impromptu adventure?

05: THE RING
it's a ring that's said to hold a lot of power. it grants that power to whoever wields it, but the ring has been missing for centuries. the only ones around who know of it now are angels and demons. naturally, humans aren't aware of their existence, and therefore don't know about the ring.

that's why when muse a stumbles upon it in a pawn shop, she doesn't think much of it other than it looks interesting, especially the inscription on the inside that seems indecipherable. it was selling for almost nothing so muse a jumped at the chance to get it. call it a gut feeling.

muse a starts to wear it, and the moment she does, she becomes a beacon for angels and demons alike. suddenly, they all know where to look for the ring, and muse a is unknowingly in danger.

the first to get to her is muse b, a conniving demon who was hired by a greater demon to retrieve the ring for him. there's a huge paycheque involved, and muse b has never failed to disappoint — until now.

he shows up in her home unannounced and isn't interested in going through explanations and answering all her annoying questions about how he showed up there and how his eye colour tends to shift when he's a little annoyed. his plan was to take the ring off and then put her to sleep. she wouldn't remember a thing that happened.

his plan is foiled, however, because when he tries to take the ring off, he realises that he can't. the ring doesn't seem to want to budge, no matter how hard he tries, and no amount of help from her works either.

they both seem to be in a dilemma. muse b is running on a deadline. to make matters worse, several other demons are coming for the ring too, which means he has to drag this human around and protect her till he can figure out how to get the ring off her finger.

meanwhile, muse a is introduced to the political world of angels and demons and this was not what she imagined would happen when she bought a stupid ring at a pawn shop for a buck.

06: BON APPETIT
muse a is in a committed relationship. muse a loves their significant other dearly, but in the last couple of months, their spark has definitely fizzled out. uncertain that they will find what they’re looking for if they break things off with their partner, muse a tries their best to subtly improve the intimacy in their relationship; unfortunately, their partner sees nothing wrong with the conventional way they do things, so nothing changes.

one night, muse a’s significant other makes plans with an old friend from school–a double date for dinner. muse b knew muse a’s lover in high school; they were close friends until one of them moved across the country for college. the couples meet at a fancy restaurant and the old friends catch up over drinks and appetizers. the whole while, muse a can’t help but notice that their lover’s old friend is making eyes at them across the table. thrilled by the idea that another person finds them desirable, when their own partner hardly seems to anymore, muse a makes a bold move–sliding their foot against muse b’s leg beneath the table.

the seductive act is received by muse b with a subtle smirk and a light nod of approval. by the time entrees are served, muse a and muse b manage to slip out of the restaurant for a quick encounter. they make their way back to the table and act as normally as possible, adrenaline pumping through their veins over the bad thing they’ve done and can’t wait to do again. plans are eagerly made for another dinner date while muse a and muse b are already thinking of how they can raise the stakes.

07: BEAUTY AND THE BOSS
muse a is the daughter of a man with a serious gambling problem. he’s a sweet man, always doting on muse a with her favorite books and rare flowers, but he’s up to his ears in debt after borrowing money from the wrong people.

one afternoon, muse a’s father is confronted by muse b, the ruthless crime boss of the city. few people have ever seen muse b’s face, as his henchmen usually do his dirty work, but everyone knows his name and cowers in fear appropriately. muse a’s father owes muse b a considerable debt, which he cannot pay. rather than kill the man, muse b offers a trade – the man's beautiful daughter in exchange for the forgiveness of his financial debts. he has one night to make this deal happen or muse b will come for him.

when muse a’s father explains the predicament to her, she is willing to go, as long as it ensures the safety of her family and her father promises to put an end to his troublesome gambling habits. muse a moves in to muse b’s mansion outside of town the following day. from the moment muse a arrives, muse b is on his best behavior, lavishing her with gifts – a library wing for her, a pretty garden filled with the finest, imported roses – jewellery, and so on.

gradually, muse a comes to see that muse b isn’t a horrible person, behind closed doors, but the circumstances of their arrangement (and the terrible crimes he commits as a crime boss) make it difficult for her to fall in love with him as he’s fallen in love with her. each time muse b proposes marriage, muse a refuses. muse a becomes terribly homesick and begs to be allowed to visit her father. muse b allows her to leave him as long as she returns to him within a week’s time. while muse a is away, muse b is attacked by a disloyal bunch of conspiring underlings.  when muse a returns, she finds muse b wounded and left for dead in his home office. she realizes in this moment that she does love him and if he recovers she’ll marry him. optional twist: once muse b recovers, muse a willingly becomes part of the crime business. together they seek revenge against those who betrayed muse b.

08: MILE HIGH CLUB
muse a and muse b are on a flight to a far away island, for a destination wedding. muse a is about to be married to muse b’s best friend. the bride and groom-to-be are on separate flights, due to muse a wanting to adhere to the tradition of not seeing the bride before the ceremony.

muse a is seated in first class with muse b and her maid of honor; the maid of honor is fast asleep. the rest of the wedding party is flying coach. muse a and muse b stay awake for the majority of the flight’s duration, reflecting on shared memories, and flirting with an attraction that’s been buried for the sake of both of their relationships with the groom-to-be.

spurred on by liquid courage, muse a propositions muse b for a one time , get-it-out-of-our-systems fling several thousand feet in the air.  it’s their last chance to see what it’d be like to be lovers. will muse b take it? will there be a wedding?

09: UNTEACHABLE
muse a and muse b meet one night at the carnival that comes to town every year before school starts. they hit it off well—maybe they kiss, maybe more. they exchange numbers and agree to go out sometime—there was undeniable chemistry that they both wanted to explore.

all of that comes crashing down when muse a, who is a senior in high school, walks into class on the first day and finds muse b sitting behind the teachers desk. how will they cope with the discovery that a relationship would be illegal? will muse b break it off before it goes any farther? will muse a be disgusted and beg to switch classes? or will they work something out, both knowing that, if caught, muse b will lose their job, and muse a will be expelled—or worse?

[ this can easily be a college setting as well! i'd prefer the role of the student, either way. ]

FANDOMS

i have several fandom settings i enjoy roleplaying within. for many, i prefer canon x oc pairings (and/or doubling up to play a canon and oc each, if you would prefer that!) but i also enjoy using the world and creating our own story and characters within that pre-existing world.

here are some of the fandoms i'm interested in, along with the canon characters i'm interested in playing against (just assume i'm also willing to omit canon characters and use only original characters, so let me know your preference when you contact me). all characters mentioned below that are canonically in high school / under 18, will be aged up / in university for the purpose of the roleplay.

THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
really only looking to play against andrew garfield’s peter parker or bucky barnes at the moment. i can, however, play just about anyone from the mcu in return if we’re doubling up!

SHADOW AND BONE / SIX OF CROWS
i'm only caught up with the show for the time being but i'd be interested in playing against mal, matthias, kaz, or jesper.

STRANGER THINGS
give me steve harrington and i will be the happiest person alive. there are a lot of things we could do with this, and we can alter a lot of things as well. i have a couple of ideas in mind for events revolving around the third season, or following a new storyline altogether!

HARRY POTTER
fred weasley or draco malfoy please! preferably something during or post the second wizarding war. maybe an au of sorts too, where voldemort wins and all those that were against him are now fugitives?

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES / THE ORIGINALS
there's tons of opportunities with this one, but i'd love it if someone could portray kai parker or kol mikaelson for me! i have no specific plots in mind but we can brainstorm something. also open to doing a caroline x klaus pairing.

TEEN WOLF
i would love it if someone could portray stiles stilinski for me! i love him. i have a few plot ideas in mind for this.

GAME OF THRONES
i'm a fan of the earlier seasons, compared to the later ones. i could work with either robb stark (big crave), jaime lannister, or jon snow as a love interest! i have different ideas/ocs for all of them and i think the game of thrones world could be fun to explore.

THE MAZE RUNNER
give me newt and i'll be the happiest person alive. got a few ideas for this as well — could combine a crossover with this and the hunger games too.

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS
i mean the books, not the show. i've only read this series by cassandra clare, none of her others, but doing something related to it could be fun. preferred love interests would be either vampire!simon lewis or jace herondale.

THE HUNGER GAMES
preferably finnick odair! mainly looking to do something with the quarter quell.
