The Games Men and Women Play (Fulfilled)

So, this is an idea that grew out of watching this youtube video by SuperEyepatchWolf about "Non-Battle" Battle Anime. Ever since my brain has wanted to apply the concept to my erotic misadventures. I decided I wanted to try doing a "Non-Battle" Battle Date. :3 The idea is to write a story about a boy and a girl going on a date, structured like it's a high stakes battle between them. A battle of wills and wits where YC "wins" by sleeping with MC, and in turn MC is "defeated" if she allows herself to be fucked.

While brainstorming for this idea with a potential partner they suggested a card game, and while they bailed after realizing I wanted to do something more interesting than just kinky Yu Gi Oh, the concept I landed on is compelling enough to me to try to find a partner for it.

So, the story takes place on two separate "layers" -- The real world and the card game. The real world layer is just that, the actual interactions that our characters are having. The card game layer is ultimately an exaggerated metaphor for the contest between them as YC attempts to seduce and bed MC against her better judgment. The 'duelists' on the card game layer can see what's going on in the real world and comment on the action as it develops. It's easier to explain with a little scene sketch than it is by describing, so that is below.

To make it more fun for me and to help explain why my character would feel shame at being "bested" in this fashion, I'd like for YC to be misogynistic in the kinky way. This lets my character, wanting to be a good feminist and stand up for the sisterhood, feel bad for falling for him and gives me enough internal conflict to work with to keep it interesting.

Game Rules and Scene Sketch

I don't intend to create a comprehensive ruleset or decklists for the duelists, but I do have a loose skeleton of how the rules would work; Enough to make it "playable" within the story's universe at least. When we write the story we won't actually play the game, we'll just have them have the cards we want them to create the most fun interactions.

Basic Game Overview:

The game would function similarly to a simple version of Magic: The Gathering where the only card types are Instants, Enchantments, and Artifacts. Instead of using life totals, the central conflict of the game is fought over the Sexual Tension Score and the Arousal Score. He wants to keep it high while She wants to keep it low. Each player has special win condition cards in their deck that will end the game in their favor; His Win Conditions inflict Arousal, but require high Sexual Tension to be played. When Arousal reaches a certain point (Probably like 10 or something idk) he wins the game and advances the date to the next phase, bringing them closer to his bedroom and Her inevitable submission. Her Win Conditions require there to be 0 Sexual Tension to be played, and end the date on the spot should she succeed. They play a series of "Games" throughout their interactions, each game representing one chunk of time from their date/interactions, YC winning each of these games, and thereby progressing the date.

Does this sound hard to comprehend? Well, that's why I wrote this scene sketch here. Hopefully it can give you a better idea of what this all looks like in practice. Please note that this is not in prose, it's just a scene sketch meant to make sense of the flow of play and changing perspectives.

Say this is game one. She's on the play. She opens with an enchantment -- "Tone: Platonic" (Or maybe something dumb like Friendzone if we wanna be really cringey about it ) -- a one mana enchantment that reads something like "Whenever your opponent plays a card, decrease Sexual Tension by 1."

He smirks and plays a counterspell -- "Objectifying Compliment" -- something like "Counter target female spell unless its controller pays (1)."

The duelists exchange some dialogue about what just happened. I think maybe they can see what's happening on the date in their mind's eye, or maybe it's just visible in some sort of screen or the space below them or idk we'll figure out how it works but either way we then cut to the bar where they met and see this round play out.

A mutual friend introduces them at the bar. She smiles and says hello. He immediately compliments her on how good her tits look. She blushes and is clearly caught off guard.

Then we zoom back out to the duelists, YC taunting MC about how he's already got the upper hand and they'll be sleeping together before she knows it. She grumbles and draws her card to start her second turn. She looks up at him and puts forth her card -- "Did You Just Hit On Me?" -- a 2 mana spell card that reads "Draw 2 cards if your opponent countered a spell last turn." He responds with "Assertive Confidence" -- A 1 mana spell that increases Sexual Tension by 1. He follows up with "Cop A Feel" -- A 1 mana spell with the [Foreplay] subtype that reads "Increase arousal by X, where X is the current Sexual Tension (up to 3)."

We go back to the bar. MC asks, "Did you just hit on me?" She smirks and looks like she's about to laugh. He looks her in the eye and says "I did," and squeezes her ass. She gasps as she feels him kneading her skin through her dress.

Back to the card game. It's round 3. She opens with "Call Out!" A 1 mana spell that reads "If your opponent has played a [Foreplay] card and you haven't played a [Consent] card, they discard their hand." He responds with "Slut Shame" -- A 1 mana spell with the [Misogynist] subtype that reads "Counter target female spell with cost 1 or less, increase sexual tension by 1." She smiles and says that he just made a huge mistake, there's no way she's gonna sleep with him now! She plays her trump card -- "Outrage!" -- A 2 mana spell with the [Feminist] subtype that says "Counter target spell with the [Misogynist] subtype and decrease sexual tension to 0." She thinks she's got him, but then he reveals this was all a trap and he was waiting for this moment. He reveals "Facts and Logic" (I'm leaning into being cringey on this one -- A 2 mana spell that reads "Counter target spell with the [Feminist] subtype and its controller discards two cards." She's devastated. "You play that in your maindeck!?" She complains. He laughs at her dismay and taunts her.

We zoom back down to the bar. We see her call him out for touching her ass, he says she was asking for it by wearing that skirt. She gets big mad and says that it's not okay for him to do that. He smiles at her and says she's overreacting, aside from which she clearly likes it. She's stunned by his assertiveness and, much to her chagrin, realizes she's starting to get horny from talking to him.

Then we'd cut back to the card game and it'd continue in that fashion.
