HISTORY:	Yfelwyn earned her name younger than most children of the Riddermark. One night, orcs from the White Mountains lay Grimharrow to waste and, ever the attentive child, she awoke to screams and fire, which she watched from the window; clapping and laughing, which woke her parents, giving them time to arm themselves for the incoming attack. During the skirmish, the babe shrieked with laughter so deafeningly that the uruks, who were not accustomed to squalling, were enraged by the sound, thus giving Déorgar and Esthild a momentary upper hand that saved their lives. By the time the battle was over, Esthild looked to her child and said, “Yfelwyn, the babe who laughed at death.” Her childhood was utterly unremarkable, filled with horses, swordplay, and goatherding. Mischievous by nature, Yfelwyn took to the goats very young and had her own herd by twelve; made of outcasts from the main herd – most notable of which is a red billy with six horns who she affectionately calls Gartop, or spearhead. She taught her younger brothers everything she knew and shares a friendly rivalry with both in all tasks. Willful and noncompliant, she never married or courted any man, nor did any attempt to woo the aloof, sharp-tongued goatherd. She lives a half-mile or so up the mountain from her parents with her herd, dogs, and horse in shacks she built with her father and visits (and is visited) weekly but otherwise, enjoys a solitary existence. However, the creation of the uruk-hai in Isengard has caused orcs to stir in the mountains again, and Yfelwyn may not be laughing soon…

HISTORY:	Uba-Sa awoke floating on a giant leaf, alone atop the Everbog in the darkest, stillest stretches of the Tangled Depths. She learned her first bioluminescent signals from fireflies and glowworms, surviving by mimicry and camouflage. She learned to swim and climb and float, how to imitate the calls of local megafauna, and studied the behaviors of plant and creature alike to better thrive in her territory -- which spanned some 666,000 mi² *(slightly larger than Alaska)* at its height. Encounters with other Buul happened frequently enough to populate the swamp and create a network of mutual aid that in time became a clan, but alas, life is ephemeral and Uba-Sa outlived everyone she knew by ten. She watched her first family die until she was the elder, then responsible for teaching new hellions how to grapple chokevines or hunt marsh-weavers. She was revered in her clan until she was forcibly abducted during her twenty-ninth year; a legend the Buul of her territory still tell with anger. According to legend, Uba-Sa was captured by a great winged beast who shackled her to its saddle as it flew off. What *actually* happened was that Uba-Sa was abducted by an ancient Talir named Al-Baan who could appear invisible by using his bioluminescence to mirror the sky. Uba-Sa had never encountered a humanoid outside of her phenotype, nor was she aware that invisibility was at all possible, so it took her a few hours to realize that the wind itself was not steering them. After squinting for a long time, she detected a large humanoid shape in the outline of the sky, clear as water. Once she found him out, Al-Baan revealed his figure (cut from the very fabric of space; featureless and massive) and deigned to use bioluminescence to parse a meager communication with her. She sassed him for the duration of the flight and only discovered that her captor was Zibelban himself when a seedpod appeared one day as proof they had cross-pollinated. By the time they reached the summit of Mount Harpy, three cross-breeds had awakened: Von, Ga-Ul, and Fen-Ra; each with black skin and foliage motifs that would never blend in the sky or swamp. Atop Mount Harpy, Uba-Sa was branded on both sides of the neck with Al-Baan’s signature, ⛣, cuffed at the throat, wrist, and ankle in meteorite, and then shipped from the spaceport to a nearby planet for auction.

Zoya and Evgeni were never fully realized but I love their setup and am keen to explore it.

In a nutshell: Zoya is a werebear who was raised in isolation in the arctic circle and Evgeni is the werewolf she encounters after leaving in search of freedom. Over time, the pair become close and eventually mate but raising a child together triggers a power struggle between the two alphas. Before long, it leads to a horrible fight that leaves them both scarred, and at the end of it, MC decides that being a mate and mother is not her path. She leaves Evgeni and their daughter behind and never looks back. Seven years pass and Oksana, their hybrid daughter, is asking more and more about her mother so Evgeni, a game warden in his own right, decides to teach his little girl how to track over long distances. They’re going to hunt Zoya down and bring her back home.

I’m happy to collaborate with new characters and settings but would like to keep the core of the story the same: two werebeasts have a complicated romantic past that leads to a dramatic separation YC puts an end to, come hell or high water. However, the details (setting, location, names, werebeasts, romantic history, etc) are all flexible.

Yfelwyn (here is one incarnation of her) is a headstrong woman from Rohan. She and her family are goatherds and live simply in Grimharrow, a small hamlet near the foothills of the Thrihyrne near Helm's Deep, and thus, are prime pickings for the newly created Uruk-Hai. She knows how to defend herself as well as any other but trouble finds her nonetheless.

How she falls into trouble is entirely at our discretion. Does she stumble across the wrong people while chasing a goat? Is her village razed? Is her horse chased by a warg rider? Is YC scouting or with a party? Why does he not kill and eat her? There’s a lot to work out and despite the obvious wish fulfillment, I want this story to make sense.

I’m happy to play around 3018 so long as we play OC’s.

CAGING A LITTLE BIRD

This roleplay revolves around a father and his daughter who have never gotten along. YC is a strong man with a good head for warfare and hunting and little else so naturally, he favors his sons considers it a kindness to ignore his daughter who so often vexes him, given what the severity of medieval parenting can be. Her mother is no better and her beloved brothers cannot understand her loneliness so grows to be smart and sweet but fragile; having never learned to speak up for herself.

RP begins when MC has finally been betrothed, which sends YC into a possessive spiral. Romance is possible but it’s still going to be Stockholm Syndrome which won’t happen overnight.
