Hmm... why isn't there vanilla sauce anyway? I mean, we have chocolate sauce and strawberry sauce. Why not any vanilla sauce? I bet it would go great on rainbow sherbet.
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter, melted
3 cups sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla
For the sauce, combine the evaporated milk, butter and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Serve warm.
