Way back when I first came to Elliquiy, one of the first RPs I joined was a game simply called The Power.  It's definitely one of my fonder memories of the site, and I'd like to see if I can get the game rolling again.  This is a game that will likely start off rather mundane and quickly expand into something rather sexy.  Dub-con is likely, non-con may certainly happen, although since it's your character's "choice" to do any dares, they likely aren't participating completely against their will.

The setting: Somewhere, a strange room exists, one that seems to constantly move about.  No one knows how to get into it, or why it exists, but anyone who has been there seems to arrive for only one thing: because the Power wants them to play a game of dares.

The game: One person in the room has the Power, a strange energy that causes them to glow slightly.  Everyone else in the room wants to get the Power, even if they don't really know why.  The person with the Power, on the other hand, has no interest in keeping it; instead, they want to find someone to give it to, because only once it has passed to someone else are they able to get it for themselves again.  The only way to pass the Power is for whoever has it to issue a dare, and once someone has completed the dare assigned to them, the Power passes and a new round of dares can begin.

The rules: Whoever has the Power is the leader, and is compelled to give out dares to the other players whenever asked.  They can give similar dares to everyone, or give everyone a different dare.  The only limit is that it must be possible to complete the dare within a reasonable time - roughly within 30 minutes of in-character time.  If someone is already given a dare that they don't like, they can ask the leader for a new dare, but the leader isn't compelled to give them something new.  As soon as one character finishes the dare, they get the Power, they get a perk, and they become leader for another round of dares.  Any dares the old leader gave out are wiped clean and ignored.  Players are free to leave the game whenever they choose, however any special effects only exist inside the game, and returning after leaving may not be possible..

The perks: Of course, there's a benefit to getting the Power.  Whoever gets it can pick one of three special perks to use:

 • Change the Room: By default, the room the game takes place in is large and featureless.  Whoever gets the Power has free reign to change the room however they see fit, creating or removing whatever details they wish.   This can be something as simple as adding some furniture, or as complex as transforming the area into a beach or forest.  There are a few limits, however; whatever they make must be normal and mundane (no magical doorways or futuristic tech; turning the room into a spaceship will have it look like a detailed movie setting, for instance).  Additionally, they can't add anything intelligent (so they can create a fully stocked bar, but not a bartender to serve drinks).
 • Change Themselves: Whoever gets the Power can transform themselves as they see fit, changing any details of their body they like.  Taller or shorter, adding or removing fat and muscle, changing proportions... it's even possible to go beyond mere human, growing ten feet tall (or shrinking to six inches), extra limbs, a tail, fur, scales, anything.  This doesn't give super-powers, however; you can become stronger than any human, but not by enough to bench-press a train; you can grow dragon scales but you won't get a fiery breath; wings may let you hover slightly but it won't be much faster than walking, and so on.
 • Create an Item: This is where magic can be found, because whoever gets the Power can choose to create one item (or a set of related items) of their choice, giving it whatever special properties they can think of.  A potion bottle that will shrink whoever drinks the contents, a laser gun that disintegrates clothing, a pencil that writes by itself as you speak to it, or whatever else you can think of.  Similar to changing the room however, you can't use the item to create something intelligent

The characters: Everyone should be from the modern-day real world.  Of course, appearances can (and likely will!) change but everyone should start out as relatively average.  A picture for your character is recommended, but not required.  No limits on picture style (real-life or drawn images are both welcome).  Generally, everyone who enters the game has no idea about anything, though they'll subconsciously understand how the game works as soon as they start playing.

Character sheet:
Name: (Your character's name)

Appearance (Try to describe your character; pictures are allowed as well)

Gender: (Whatever your character identifies as)

Orientation: (Any orientation is welcome)

Personality: (Some details about who your character is)

Player On/Offs: (Things you as the player would like or dislike for your character)

Character On/Offs: (Optional, these can be the same as above or completely different, depending on how much you want to explore your character being pushed into uncomfortable situations.)

How to make good dares
After running the game a few times, I've found a few things make the game run smoother when it come to dares.  Particularly, some main rules that should be followed:

1. Dares should be about what a character is willing to do, not what they're able to do.  For instance, telling two players that their dare is to be the first one to sprint to the other side of the room and back is likely not a good dare; the difficulty isn't in being willing to do the dare, it's in physical ability.  Since we're not using any kind of stats or dice, such a "dare" would just come down to the players deciding something out of character, which isn't as fun.

2. When giving out dares, avoid giving out two dares that can be completed by doing the same thing.  For instance, telling one player their dare is to take off their shirt and give it to you is fine, but also telling another player that their dare is to convince the first player to give you their shirt means that if the first player gives you their shirt, two different dares are suddenly completed, which means the game runs into an issue of who actually gets the Power.

3. Related to both above points, a dare that requires the player to convince another player to do something can be tricky.  It ties into the first point of dares being about willingness and not ability, and can easily run into the second point where two players can complete a dare at the same time.  If the dare really does require a third party acting, the dare can simply be "ask another player X, and do Y if they agree"; this means the player completes the dare even if the third party declines (but will have to do something extra if the third party accepts).

Yukina

Yukina

Name: Harumi Haruhara

Appearance

Gender: Female

Orientation: Lesbian

Personality: The reclusive bookworm after a less than happy academic life would rather take college literature courses from the solitude of an apartment, but her strict parents are very traditional and don't want her to become a shut-in despite her clear need have break from the social struggles of her school life. She is a person that still has the spark in her that attempts to make friends and speak to others, but also the type that is conditioned by experience to easily be hammered down (or at least, put in line) by stronger personalities and more inclined to run from danger unless one of the stronger personalities drags her along. A glass cannon socially if you will.

Player On/Offs: Transformations, Embarrassing Outfits, Pet Play, Bondage, Futanari, and much more/Gore, Snuff, Hypnotism, Anal, Males, Bestiality

Character On/Offs: Wholesome vanilla romance/She's unsure, but doesn't want to find out

Hey, welcome to the game!  She looks like someone fun to tease with dares.

I definitely want more players at least interested before I start up a game thread, so hopefully a few others will show up.

Hey there, Vreski.  Welcome to the game!  I'll probably wait ti lI get one more player signing up and then I'll get the game thread started.  (The game rules make it easy for people to join in after we start though, so this won't be a hard cutoff or anything.)

Vreski

Hey! I've been thinking about my character a bit. I'm thinking of playing a shy, nerdy, librarian type character.

Name: Kipp

Appearance

Gender: Male

Orientation: Straight

Personality: Kipp is a serious, businesslike man in his late 20s. He is generally considered to be highly competent and has a surprisingly string competitive streak, though he has yet to rise much in company ranks. Partly due to his youth, perhaps, though also partly due to a strange lack of ambition. That and a certain polite coldness in behaviour that sets him apart from others.

Is that a recent change? I think I remember them being at the bottom of every post, but I may be mistaken. I've been on a bit of a hiatus for like a year and a half.

Alright, I think we've got enough to get things started.  Character sheet thread is up: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=335784.0

Just a quick bump; the game has been going pretty strong so far, but we could always use more people to join in on lewd shenanigans.

Angel Fire

This is looking really interesting.  Here is the next victim... err, character to arrive... a little late to the party if I may add Lol:

Name: Alexis Abbott

Appearance: (click to enlarge)

Gender: Female

Orientation: Lesbian

Personality: Alexis... or Lexi for short, is in her early 20's working part time as a waitress at a local diner by day and as a strip club dancer by night to make ends meet.  She comes off being a little too aggressive at times but normally, she is a very friendly girl who has to do what she has to do to live her extravagant lifestyle.  Trying to save money is almost impossible for her as she can be very impulsive in her spending habits.  She is a switch.. sometimes, she likes to be dominated and other times, she likes to take charge... depending on her mood at the time.

Player On/Offs: Please see my signature below.

Character On/Offs: Ons: Small bondage, Wearing skimpy clothes, Dancing (especially lap dancing), foreplay, regular romance (if called to do so).  Offs: The usual extreme stuff, transformation into full animals (having cat ears or a small tail is fine), bestiality.

Looks good!  Feel free to toss her into the character sheet thread and introduce her in game.

Angel Fire

Thanks for the warm welcome!  I will get Lexi started a little later tonight after I catch up on everything that already happened.
