"Hustle" is a game centered around a high-end escort agency in New York City, its escorts, staff, and clients. The game will be extremely LGBTQ+ friendly with escorts, staff, and clients of absolutely any gender identity or sexuality welcome. While heavy kink will be allowed and encouraged it should all be between consenting (sometimes paying) adults. I cannot guarantee what the cast will look like and so I do not know exactly what kinks will be allowed. In this setting, New York's escort industry will largely be run by a single woman who runs the business 'Ambrosia'. This game is not intended to be a realistic representation of the real-world industry.

The Setting

"Hustle" is set in a close-to realistic modern world however in this version of the world an entrepreneurial woman has as good as taken over New York's escort industry. Maeve Donahue has snatched up everyone she can, created a professional structure, and made so much money she can pay off just about anyone to turn a blind eye. She is extremely intelligent, calculating, and professional. She treats her escorts well and everyone knows that a woman with her connections is not a woman to cross. Her business, Ambrosia, greatly values respect and only employs responsible, trustworthy people.

Ambrosia as a business began in 2011 and has been running ten years. It took some time to get where it is today and most would say that Ambrosia had fully supplanted the sex industry in New York City in about 2018. The company operates out of a large building in Manhattan but they also maintain leases on a variety of penthouses and mansions for their clientele. Ambrosia has under the table support from the Mayor and even the chief of police. So far as most are concerned it's better that the entire operation is somewhere somewhat visible and professional rather than on the streets.

Ambrosia has extraordinarily detailed, thorough sexual harassment and misconduct rules. Anyone caught violating them is liable to be immediately fired. Their main focus is on preventing any staff from behaving as though their position within the company grants them some form of 'all-access pass' to the escorts. Staff are allowed to hire escorts and there are rooms at Ambrosia's headquarters designed for meets however they must be paid for and agreed upon in advance. They should be approached just as they would be if they were between an escort and a client.

For all meets both the escort and client are expected to be clean, put-together and well dressed unless specific clothing was requested. Escorts and clients are both expected to treat each other with respect unless anything else was requested and even then any play should be left in private and during the proper time. Escorts and clients are expected to always be on time. Additional services are always to be charged for. Clients are expected not to beg for discounts, extensions or anything similar. Ambrosia does not entertain repeat business from clients who cannot behave properly and they have a low tolerance for unprofessional escorts.

Aside from 'meets' between one or more escorts and one or more clients Ambrosia also offers professional public companionship, such as when company is requested for a social event. They also provide discreet filming services for clients who would like a record of their experience and they offer the chance to view films showcasing Escort's talents to consistent clients. Ambrosia owns a strip club called 'Tartarus' that is very near their Manhattan headquarters.

The Game

There are a few things I am hoping for from this game. It's more than just an emporium of smut/kinks. Ideally what I am looking for is a story that is inherently tied into the smut so that every scene is relevant. Every new encounter brings something new and changes something for everyone present in one way or another.

Characters: Ideally I would like the cast of this game to be split between escorts, clients, and staff at Ambrosia. I will also accept the partners of other characters or, perhaps, journalists/police officers.
Drama: In-character drama is extremely fun. It should be agreed upon and discussed maturely but it can be very exciting. Escorts in conflict over clients, clients who are struggling in their personal lives, staff at Ambrosia having their own issues.
Ambrosia: This is a large company with a lot of things to keep track of and a lot of rules to enforce. They will have secretaries, accountants, human resources (Who are definitely extraordinarily busy), legal, and security. All are suitable characters! While the company is an escort service they are extremely careful about sexual harassment. If it's not agreed upon, it's not acceptable.
Adultery: In-Character adultery is allowed. It can be very interesting and intense. That being said please ensure that you inform the writer of the character your character is in a relationship of your intentions and discuss beforehand. Don't blindside people.
Crimes: The escorts and members of Ambrosia should avoid committing crimes where possible. Ambrosia will protect them from most but they cannot protect them from everything. Please refrain from particularly grim/gritty plot concepts involving heavily triggering/upsetting topics.
Drugs and Drinking: While most crimes are avoided it is commonplace for Ambrosia meet-ups to involve the use of alcohol or drugs. These things are often procured by the company and provided to their escorts if needed.
Services: Escort characters will be able to list the specific services they provide. To make things easier the money will be left deliberately slightly vague (So that player character's wealth levels are more individual). All prices are set by Ambrosia and all escorts are treated equally. Ambrosia lets them select the services they are comfortable providing and takes a 10% flat cut. Ambrosia also provides locations, legal support, HR support, and huge networks of clients and colleagues.

• Possessiveness: This game does not welcome possessive behavior. If you want to write with someone's characters, PM them. If they decline, move on. If you are writing with someone and see them writing with another, let them be.
• Drama: Please do not cause or participate in drama. If you are upset inform me or site staff.
• Respect: Please treat all other writers with respect. Do not be rude, dismissive, or creepy.
• Writing: All posts in this game must be in the third-person past tense with a reasonable style of spelling and grammar. No one-liners.
• Kink: This game is open to all sorts but I cannot and will not make anyone engage with a kink they don't like. Try to make characters with diverse tastes. If you just want to sate a highly specific niche a 1x1 may be more suitable.
• Proactive: Please PM people for connections. Be sociable and proactive wherever possible, think of ideas for ties between characters, and seek them out. Put in the effort before complaining. I am happy to offer advice if needed.
• Consent: This game will be placed in NC-Human for the potential of faux-noncon/dubcon play as paid for or engaged in by a consenting couple.
• Bigotry: This goes for both in-character and out of character. I don't want bigoted characters in this game and I don't want bigoted writers in this game.
• Realism: This game is intended to be in a believable world. Please try to keep things like sexual prowess, physical traits, and general 'risky' actions reasonable.
• IC/OOC Split: You are not your character, other people are not theirs. Don't treat the game like it is your real life. Don't behave as though your character's status gives you any OOC authority. Influential characters, authority figures or those with dominant kinks have no additional authority out of character whatsoever.
• Negativity/Bullying: Please do not criticize other people's writing, choice of faceclaims or character if they are not to your taste. They may well be to other people's. If someone's writing is below your personal standard, don't write with them. If you don't want scenes with a person, be polite. Do not complain about / criticize writers in this game to other writers. Let everyone form their own opinions.

Character Creation

This game aims to be relatively open regarding characters. It is necessary to have a good basis of escorts, clients and staff at Ambrosia but in theory, I am open to including their partners as well as outsiders such as journalists or perhaps a particularly pious police officer. The only thing I am not looking for is overly dark characters. (E.g. an escort plotting to murder clients, a violently aggressive client. Generally, non-con and violent crime are not a good fit for the tone.)

Face claims can be reserved for a maximum of two weeks. You may reserve up to three face claims at a time. I will check in with you whether you still want your faceclaim after the two weeks are up before removing them from the list. If you are struggling to find a face claim or if one you want is taken please do let me know and I will do what I can to suggest alternative choices.

You may make as many characters as you like in this game. They should all be posted for at least once every two weeks. If characters are not being used I may check whether you are still interested in using them.

What segment of the board will this game be in? NC-Human due to the potential for agreed-upon dubcon/faux-noncon play between escorts and clients (Or simply between consenting partners outside of that.) There should be no actual, real noncon in this game. Ideally, I would prefer there to be no violence beyond what occurs with consent. Drug use, alcohol use and similar are welcome.

How many characters can I write? As many as you can keep active. Active, for this game, requires one post per two weeks.

Can a 'Normal person' afford Ambrosia's services? Not comfortably, no. They may be able to but it would be infrequent at best. Most clients should be relatively wealthy. Ambrosia staff provide a good opportunity to write people who are not escorts and not particularly wealthy. There is also the opportunity to write the partners of escorts or clients.

Did Covid happen in the universe of this game? No, it would be too prohibitive for this game's concept.

Prostitution remains illegal however anyone/everyone who could/would prosecute has been paid off and taken care of. The illegality will not be a focus but people are welcome to make characters who may want to investigate.
