Can Gijinka pokemons breed with any gijinka or do they follow pokem rules?

PentheWonderful

Considering they're all mostly human, I think we can ignore the egg groups.

Gardsorm

After some deliberation, leaning toward Arcanine and Dragalge for the time being.

Ok so I messaged Crensler and I am going to do the Gardivor for his sibling idea also I decided that for a seconded character to go with Salazzel
There is no Order only Chaos and all the joys that it brings.
This way too On's and Off's

Crensler

Chaosfox

We have a question for the two wonderful gm's  So me and Crensler would have to take up a power slot for are characters to have a special  psychic twin bond.  It's a play on the whole twin bond thing but given they are bot psychic type  it is stronger then wont it would be normally It would allow them to sense  strong  feelings  and emotions of the other..... though they could do a partial break to cancel them say if one of them was in the throes of some smexy times.

Kissa

I would like to have shiny Umbreon as my dark pokemon.

There is already one sibling pair, so I would like to check if it's a bad idea to request having a brother for my umbreon? Then she could believe her life mission is to cockblock the poor brother  ;) I can play her even if there is no one who wants to play her brother, so it's not a problem if no one signs up for the task : )

Hey Gardsorm Glad to see you here! So how traditional is this society. Should we expect normal  places for women in society or can the inherit and own property and  run business or no. Also how sexually liberated a society are we looking at?

Quote from: PentheWonderful on June 21, 2021, 05:50:10 AMWell, clothes and weapons aren't exactly part of the characters actual anatomy, which is what we are looking for. For example, the horns are a great start. Another trait would be the dorsal spines or fangs.
Quote from: Chaosfox on June 21, 2021, 06:08:48 AMYou may have to skip looking for the anatomy parts. when you look for them at least on pintrest most of the Ginjinka are basically dressed to look the part with almost nothing special on the body. And for some  Pokemon you can nto even find that. Unless you have  a better place  to look for them >.<
Quote from: PentheWonderful on June 21, 2021, 06:21:06 AMWell, if there are specific features you have that aren't in the picture, just note them in the "Description" part of the bio. The picture is a good reference, but you can specify differences within the sheet itself.

In fact, the pictures you choose don't have to specifically be "Pokemon Gijinka", just any character you think would suit the Pokemon would also be acceptable.

I see, hmm, the gijinka art out there is quite unusable then as ChaosFox pointed out. Considering all that, if I added the horns and fangs (in description), would that be sufficient?

Quote from: PentheWonderful on June 21, 2021, 05:50:10 AMAlso, what would be the reason for your character to stay a Cubone as opposed to evolving into a Marowak? We can assume that 'evolving' is a sign of maturity as opposed to strength in this universe.

I could make him young, ±18, although since pokemons can refuse to evolve, that could be the reason too (if that's fine with you guys).

Aight, so, to hit these questions bam bam bam!

1) The special abilities will be separate to inherent species abilities (EG, Staraptor can fly, Sharpedo can breathe underwater, etc etc, without taking up a special ability slot). So normally, basic, low level psychic abilities would be an inherent ability. However, more powerful psychic abilities would take up a Special Ability Slot. So if you want to have that strong telepathic Twin Bond, you can have that, that's fine! It would just take up a Special Ability Slot! ^_^

2) Shiny Umbreon is fine, as is having a brother!
Don't mind me, just imagining her cockblocking her brother whilst also sleeping with the leader of the Mistypes because I'm a horny bastard and she's cute

3) This society is very gender-egalitarian and extremely sexually liberated. We just want this to be fun for everybody! The big social issue is the Mistype Racism and standard period-appropriate political chicanery!

4) Heartsink, that's fine! 18 is the youngest we're allowing characters though, naturally.

Hope that answers all questions!

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

I feel personally attacked. :P

Setting is mentioned as medieval. Technology level is likewise medieval?

Veered away from the Sirfetch'd idea, currently playing with a genderfluid Zoroark idea that cloaks themself in other identities, the main ones being Delinquent Town's premier information broker (an Ariados, maybe?) who happens to run a bath house, and an independent detective (Pikachu, naturally) who runs a detective agency outside Delinquent Town.

Still looking for FCs I like, but also looking for people who'd be interested in being
• bodyguard/s for the information broker
• informants for the information broker
• clients for the information broker
• bathhouse employees
• a detective agency partner (think Watson from Elementary or Sally Kimball from Encyclopedia Brown)
• secretary for the detective agency
• clients for the detective agency
• ... and of course sexual/romantic entanglements! (Hey, they can be anyone you want them to be...)

Happy to see you again, Marie! Rarely can I resist an interesting Pokémon premise, but you're a welcome surprise. ^^ Props to the Galvantula pick, easily one of my favorite Bug types. :3

Vergil Tanner

I think I know the answer to that one, HS, but I'll double check with Pen first.

As far as bug picks? Yassss. I love Galvantula. I also love Frosmoth, despite ice being a useless type xD

It's a little early to be plotting connections, but if it gives anybody any ideas, I might as well tell you what my characters will be!

One will be a Corviknight, the Lord Commander of the Royal Guard. So if you want to create friends, rivals, subordinates or courtiers who have had a connection with him in the past, let me know! Always open to flesh out Dantarius's connections!

The other is a Decidueye, and the de-facto ruler of the Mistype Slums. He's a benevolent ruler, for the most part, focusing mainly on keeping stability and protecting his people as best he can...though that does include some illegal mafia-type dealings on occasion. People often refer to him colloquially as "The Mayor."
I have some connections with him already - an adopted daughter, a bodyguard / lover, a spymaster / lover and a Personal Assistant / Lover - but I'm always down if people want to forge a connection with him. Be it people he's helped in the past, one of his subordinates, a personal assistant of some kind (EG, head of security, accountant, Housemaid, whatever), whatever you got, let me have it! I'm always keen to get more people involved!
And don't worry. If you want to be his lover too, I'm on holiday for the next three months so I have more than enough time for everybody :P :P

I have a few questions.

1) When did the division of Mistypes and 'Normal' types occur? The schism seems to have reached its boiling point with the assassination of TBD's King, but I assume there was tension before hand?

2) Would there have been the potential for Mistype Nobility or even 'Royalty' before that schism? Perhaps hostages and the like from over nations, etc.

3) What do we know about the Queen? (and to a lesser extent the heir) Such a central character: Is she hated by the Non-Mistype masses? Loved? Feared? Does she have any sort of reputation?

4) Are there other nations, besides TBD? Goods and trade must come from somewhere, and it'd be interesting to know if there were other sovereign nations nearby who weren't so against the 'Mistypes'. Is it a national, international, or global mistrust?

My early leanings are to make the Staraptor some sort of Soldier type - Perhaps a Royal Guard, or a Captain of some repute - and to make the Absol an ex-noble-turned-Brothel-owner.
