New System - The Array

This is the players heads up display (HUD.) Each individual can bring up a menu that only they can see. The interface has a customize option so you can change it's design and transparency levels to suit your individual preferences. It works by the player tapping in the air with their fingers and using their motions to select and scroll through options.

The Array contains
1.  Class Menu
2.  Inventory
3.  Triage
4. Shop (locked and inaccessible to players)

Lives in a dorm on campus with her roommate, who she is physically and romantically attracted to but hasn’t worked up the nerve to come out to yet. Due to a roundabout way of asking for advice, the roommate thinks she’s crushing on a guy on her dev team.  Although her parents are paying for her education, she has a restraining order against them.  They know what they did.


Physical Health: Moderate.  Takes a PE class of some kind every semester to keep from getting too sedentary, often the most esoteric-sounding ones she can get into.  People generally think she’s making them up.

OK, you sold me at RTD!!! I've wanted so badly to play RTD here on E, that I posted about it earlier this Spring (I was even thinking about GM-ing an RTD game).

She's trying to shape her life up and study psychology to self-help herself out of a hole of bad choices she made in the past that led her to abuse substances. She was adopted as a baby from South Korea and raised with Connor and Soo-Jin's biological daughter Phillipa.


Physical Health: Plays soccer/football three times a week for 2 hours, with a neighborhood soccer club.
Known Relatives: Phillipa Walsh (older sister), Connor Walsh (father), Yoo-Jin Walsh (mother), Andy (nephew)
Education: Going to school for psychology. Evie is a 28-year-old college freshman.

Relationships/Connections:

Friends: Can one of the Ecology students be classmates with Evie? Let's say they invited her on the trip for volunteer hours.

It's most like SAO if instead of a game it was all real and the world was suddenly changed into the game. Mass chaos, mass destruction/change,... But some sci-fi elements thrown in.

But players will definitely have that SAO like heads up display.

The actual comparison is the System Apocalypse series. In fact, I think I'll probably call the game System Apocalypse since that's what it's most like.

Hi Rainy, I'm so glad you joined. I was actually inspired by your post in the GM section about the RTD simple system.  We'll be going optional with a simple system and I won't be exactly using the RTD but something super simple like that. I'll explain as the group gets moving.
