The Menagerie

Two strangers walk up in an area neither one of them are familiar with. It is a part of a zoo or menagerie run by an advanced alien species.

What the enclosure itself looks like can vary. It could be built to mimic a human 'habitat'. This could be an apartment or a larger structure with rooms and some furnishings but with one or more walls missing so the aliens can observe them. What's missing could be covered by glass or by some sort of advanced energy field. The structure could be spartan and be little more than a prison cell. It could be an enclosure meant to resemble nature. They would have some trees, a stream, and maybe a cave-like area.

What materials the humans have can vary. The simplest thing is that they arrive in their street clothes. They could be given some sort of alien outfit with markings identifying the species to observers. They could also be examples of nature, without any clothes at all.

They are meant to be a breeding pair. Some aspects of this will be obvious: no birth control measures available and (if provided at all) a single bed. The aliens may also try to use aphrodisiacs or pheromones to get them in the mood. Still, the aliens could be remarkably bad at their job if human dimorphism is too subtle for them to notice so they end up with a same sex pairing.

Finally, the pair may be alone in the menagerie (as far as they're aware) or be able to see and/or communicate with other couples in different enclosures.
