I am still interested. I just have been busy and need to reread through the thread and see exactly what has been established. :)

I did have an potential evilish idea with a summoner. Though that would kind of depend on if chained or unchained because one is significantly better than the other.

Do it! Don't listen to this talk of wiggleroom. Being bad is more fun anyway.

Also @PP I'm pretty sure the chained one is the better one. I'd take either though.

Hmm I would like  to state my interest. I am thinking of A Lawful Evil Investigator/ Cavalier Order of Penitent with the daring champion Archetype.

I know Pentients get to tie things up, but they're good guys. Reformed. :p Though I'm sure we could make it work somehow.

Rhynarion, your character's like a barbarian, and Hexed's character is like a barbarian, and Hopefox's character is like a barbarian...

Hear me out: wouldn't it be fun to have a party of barbarians?  Barely-dressed, morally-ambiguous, supple-bodied angry barbarians?

I was literally about to PM you about permission for making a party of barbarians, a Viking Warband if you will.

My plan was that Svaldir has gathered a warband and sailed for the Dark Continent to make his saga here. He offers anyone willing to swear fealty to him an equal share of the loot and a position on his council of advisors (he intends to found a kingdom or hold of his own).

Tentantive name is "Pyretongue Oathsworn" (my PC is named Svaldir the Pyretongue)

Also: This song is so fitting for this

Right now, evil party looks like:

HOUSE NOX

  • AP Leader: Firepyre, Eldritch Knight
  • Hatless, Cleric of Asmodeus
  • 1651 Leviathan, FACEBREAKER
  • ??, POSSIBLY Annaamarth, Possibly Witch-slut with a side of Trapfinding
  • ??
  • ??

A summoner would provide good control and might help open up our range profile.  Right now, I think we're pretty close-ranged (60' and closer) specialists, which is ... not necessarily a bad thing for closed jungles and raiding temples, but flexibility <3.

A cavalier would give us a true tank to go with the breaker of faces.
Ons/Offs

My sins are pride, wrath and lust.

PhantomPistoleer

That sounds good, but everyone else also wanted to be the leader.

So, my solution:  Could the barbarian party have co-leaders because the characters are married or related?  Marriage wouldn’t imply monogamy.

First of all, we prefer the term FACESMASHER.

The only thing I'd note is that Hatless' cleric is set up to be a necromancer. We might not want to double up on summoning too much, both thematically and so Phantom doesn't have to pull his hair out running combat.

I feel like horde of skeletons is thematically distinct enough from giant angry smashy thingie. Unless I'm remembering what summoners do wrong. Been a while since I've seen one.

That sounds more like your jam if anything, Levi. And more muscle is never a bad thing.

Arrrgh, post in the IC so I can lay out the central quest, FP!

I know I’m pretty late with this, but does anyone think they can help me with making a character sheet for my fighter? I know I’ll probably mess up at some bits and I just want a second person helping the process. So I don’t have to go back and forth so many times.

I just made a fighter, so if you have any questions, hopefully I can answer 'em. Feel free to PM me.

Not late.  Right on time. This game is newbie-friendly.

Thankfully, a Fighter is the EASIEST character to make.  But before I begin, when you say FIGHTER, you mean the class, right?

Is Raku making a samurai flavored fighter or just a samurai with the cavalier filed off?

The class, yes. I know I have to pick an archetype, just needing to come to a decision. I didn’t see samurai class so I was thinking sword lord.

I'm kinda super not into this idea, mostly because all the other parties got to have a de-facto leader with creative control and veto power. I'd had eyes on making my own party from the start.

That and I'm not comfortable being erotic partners with Hexed's character as they look uncomfortably close to a loli

If thats gonna be a dealbreaker I'll pull Svaldir and come up with another concept that isn't gunning for leader.

Guys, if you're interested in joining House Nox, please feel free to use the link below and jump into the OOC to discuss your ideas with us(and each other). I don't want to have to turn anyone down because we got two rogues at the same time, etc. Hell, it'd really suck if you're still working on a character and Phantom goes and caps me at 6 players or something.

You don't need approval, just jump in and say hi. Let us know you're interested. What's the worst that could happen?

HopeFox

Well, I'm certainly up for the idea of a barbarian-themed party!

Rhynarion, I could definitely see Sophia signing on for Svaldir's warband, as long as the plan is to carve out a kingdom from untamed wilderness, rather than to slaughter or subjugate an existing society. She's strong-willed and very social, but doesn't feel a need to be in charge and will happily follow a strong leader with a clear vision and a halfway-decent moral compass.

And definitely up for some free love with the other barbarian-looking types. Crocodile girl? Viking warlord? Half-orc warrior of Arshea? Yes please! I mean, it doesn't need to be a core feature of the warband, but the interest is certainly there.

This is exactly what Svaldir intends to do on the dark continent. His moral compass is on the more neutral end of the spectrum; his kin and people come first, always, and he expects the same of those who follow him.

This is the law of the jungle, as old and as true as the sky,
And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.

As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk, the law runneth forward and back;
For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.

Hexed

It is an interesting adventure party idea. And a concept I could see Sresk following. Her future goal is to purify the swamps of her home but she knows it's not going to be her pulling it off. She just needs the funds and information to enable someone else to do it so swearing fealty wouldn't be that hard for her.

Good points. Will add I'm not one of the ones wanting ot lead nor is the lass a leader of any sort. :D

Although... loli? Not seeing it myself but lets see here...

A
B
C
D

What about those pics? (I am so hoping those work)

PhantomPistoleer

The links do work.  I personally don’t think it’s loli, but if it makes Rhy uncomfortable, maybe it would be best to switch it.

And Mosos also developed a half-orc CC.

Hexed

Yay for the links working. Direct images using them didn't seem to work so was worried.

And Aye. I usually go for massive tracts of land simply to avoid any part of the loli chance, especially given my fondness for halfling and gnome shortstacks. I just liked the face. :D

B is evidently newish as it wasn't found last time I searched. And no clue how I missed D.

Mosos

I am unsure which teams still need players, but I got a lawful good smashy paladin, or a more morally flexible heal-blaster alchemist.

HopeFox

I really like all of those pictures! I can see that Sresk would be on the young end for the party, but that's cool - it's good to have a spread of ages.

I think Grimaruk would fit in perfectly with the Pyretongue Oathsworn! Sophia would be happy to help with his rituals. :) On the other hand, House Nox looks like it could use the alchemist goblin.
