I want to know the staff's consensus on the taboo subject of Racism and Raceplay on the RP boards.

I have a story that uses raceplay in a chapter, and I've seen other people who are into it. BBC and Blacked scenarios are quite a popular genre for some people to indulge in.

How sensitive is the subject and to what extent is it permitted?

It is not a forbidden topic for RP.  It would probably be advisable to make it clear in your request thread that this particular element is something that you want to include, either in the subject line or near the top of the post, so that people who consider it an 'off' don't get blindsided by it.  If approaching someone directly, make sure to check their O/Os, and make a tactful inquiry if it isn't specified either way.
