Ons and Offs Tab

Quick Question about Ons and Offs tab to create a profile, is it working for new people?  A friend has recently signed up and can't get the Ons and Offs tab to save any of their choices.  Tried Safari, Chrome and Firefox.  Yes, they were hitting the submit button.   I remember there was a plan to phase it out, but never heard anything beyond that.

I was able to get it to work for myself, which is why I am wondering if it is only turned off for new people.

So can anyone offer some insight into what is going on?

The submit button is only for the profile and blurb. It should be saving every click, but something is broke for some things in the server move and it is annoyingly not showing up in the error log.

But it's also an ancient system and one of my earlier goes at AJAX, so the intention is to replace the entire thing.

Just to let you know a little more the messages make it seem like maybe there's an obvious step I've missed, though I can't find what it might be. 
Initially I went to the 'Ons and Offs' tab and filled in the profile and checked various boxes, but when I clicked submit the screen just cleared without anything seemingly adding to my profile, with the same thing happening in subsequent tries.

I wondered whether there was a step I hadn't found to enable an 'Ons and Offs' profile in the first place maybe. Since when I click on 'View Your Profile' from 'Ons and Offs' it just takes me to a blank page which just says 'This user does not yet have a profile setup.'

That might not help any, but just wanted to explain a little more what I had seen.

There's not supposed to be an additional step.  Ordinarily, it saves as you check off the blue/black boxes (Submit is actually for any text you type in the window.)

It is very important to note that the matrix is being phased out eventually.  The 'Find Partners' tab is very 'broad stroke', and most people look first of all at the On/Off threads in the center column.  The matrix is also very inaccessible to members with vision impairments. 

A common practice is to link your On/Off thread in your signature - it's not visible to unapproved members.  This also serves as a bit of advertising for you as you interact with people in other parts of the forum.

I can't get the On/Off tab to work with me either. I've gone through it several times and it does not save any of my choices, and it says I do not have a roleplay preferences profile setup. It's really bothering me.

There have been multiple reports of issues. Vekseid, the site owner, is aware of it.

Generally, though, it would be better to do an actual O/O page, anyway- at some point, we will be moving to a  new code base, and that grid will be vanishing into the sunset.
