If there's anything you think would be important related to your character, go for it! What you had for the College of Magic in your background for example is perfect! But on most of the nitty-gritty details in a broader sense, I think I'd rather wait and see which kinds of characters we actually end up having in the party... it's a bit of an awkward phase in the preparations, when I can't promise anyone if they'll actually even be in or not just yet >.<

That's completely fair. I don't think I'd want to add much to the College of Magic without being accepted anyway, I was just spitballing ideas.

Geographically, what types of biome are more common, and where? Is the 'Continent' landlocked? Is it mountainous? Were any of the Elemental Planes more likely to mess with the land before the Queen rocked up and saved people's bacon? I'd imagine the Plane of Water would be more likely to ruin one's day if you were near the ocean for example.

What about common myths? If Mythical beasts were super prevalent, you'd imagine stories about Hags would become important cautionary tales that get weaved into mythology, and stories about a Dragon's horde, or Genies that come bearing gifts might be important old wives tales

I wouldn't know that, would I? Depends on what you all decide to do... :-)

But yes, that's exactly the point -- if your travels happen to take you to the outskirts of the kingdom, you may very well end up in places with very different legal customs and different punishments for different crimes. It may or may not become relevant, who knows!

Rape is of course a very serious crime in most civilized areas of the realm, and subject to the harsher end of the punishment scale. Prostitution is legal and brothels quite common, but the more civilized (and the more high-end) neighborhood you find yourselves in, the more likely you're going to find yourselves heavily questioned if you commit acts of debauchery in broad daylight. (Nobility likes to keep their orgies behind closed doors, after all!)

As to "is everyone aware"... well, you'll find out :-) But a lot of what you asked is intended to be part of the game, and part of the challenge -- in some areas, it might be prudent to put some clothes on the princess and/or hide her identity... or just convince the locals everything is fine, I suppose!

Ha, okay, fair enough. I suppose I should stop asking questions we're meant to find out IC, it's just something that came to mind when you mentioned it. Thanks for answering -- I'm actually feeling the hint of competition for this one, so I'm excited to see what happens. I love all the characters so far, guys. :-) Some real interesting concepts in there.

Speaking of Fair Folk and feywild...

Ravalynn - Chaotic Good, Goddess
Domains: Knowledge, Life, Trickery
Titles: "The Many-Faced Beauty", "The Merciful", "The Bound Goddess"

Origins: "Tell me your story, my Master." The tales of a nymphs beauty are legendary but none were quite so beautiful as Adlana. She was both young, immaculately beautiful and compassionate. However she was immensely naive and innocent. Naturally she was coveted by a powerful wizard whom learned of her. He tricked the beautiful woman into trusting him with her true name and then upon learning this would take his leave of her. some time later Adlana was summoned by the wizard whom bound her in chains and swore her to service as her concubine.

Rather than horror and revulsion over the cruelty of her fate she accepted it opening her arms to him. Smiling as he claimed her, Adlana's eyes held a touch of sadness within them for she took pity on the wizard. During her time of service. She listened to him during moments of intimacy, shifting the role in which she served him. Whilst she was chained in body, the wizard was chained by his soul. The wizard was puzzled by her questions when he took her to bed. Before she accepted him, she told him that she knew all along what he was behind his magic, what he wanted her for. She accepted him anyway because she knew the truth behind his actions. She saw completely through him, body and soul and drew from him the darkness that held him tight.

The wizard could no longer bring himself to keep her, and in time released her. With but a soft kiss to his brow she bid him farewell. He wouldn't be the first to seek her out nor would he be the last she would aid. This is the story of a nymph born of a union of demon and fey whom ascended into godhood. She had many names, many forms, all beautiful but she preferred her true name. Ravalynn.

Dogma: "Worship them within chains, worship me in freedom, worship them with comfort, worship me in warmth, worship them with kindness, worship me in joy." The body is a temple to Ravalynn, sacred and is the foundation of the soul. As such it must be nurtured as well in order to heal it. It is not enough to mend the body but also comfort the one whom suffers. Kind words and a long soak, coupled with a gentle massage does wonders for the soul. But most importantly silent and rapt attention to the wounded woes. To truly defeat the wicked you must redeem them.

Worshippers: "You look weary, Master. Come and I will renew you." One would easily glance over the worshippers of Ravalynn and think of them as glorified prostitutes. However the truth is far more complex than a mere exchange of coin. The cloisters of the Acolytes and Priestesses of the Bound Goddess serve as a confession house that allows all walks of life to enter and purify not just the body but the soul. Many are potent diviners able to see into the hearts of those they serve and are well trained in both healing and comfort. They adorn themselves in the golden shackles of their deity and place themselves willingly in servitude towards another or a group.

Clerics of Ravalynn within an adventuring party considers others that are not slaves their default "masters" and considers a slave their equals if not seniors. They stand out amongst their peers for they wear armor that is rather revealing. Yet despite the impracticality of the armor it seems like there is a sheer veil upon them that properly protects them. They are majorly women though on occasion you can find men amongst her worshippers. It is exceptionally rare to find a Paladin sworn to Ravalynn, but if one does serve the Bound Goddess, she would be of Chaotic Good Alignment and can take the Oath of Redemption or the Oath of the Ancient.

The Holy Symbol of Ravalynn are a pair of hands bound in golden shackles inlaid over a ivory disc. The Holy Weapon of Ravalynn is a Whip with Leather Straps

Maybe we'll be able to get the princess to write us a license to do whatever the fuck we want.  ;)

Town Guard: What the Hell are you doing to the princess in the middle of town square!
Victoria: *Spit roasting the princess with another character* Umff, don't worry sir. Huff, we have a permit. *Hands the guard the permit, while continuing to fuck the princess*
Town Guard: *Reads permit and then hands it back* Oh, um, alrighty then. Carry on.

I was having similar thoughts, except have the king sign it since he is the one who sent us on the quest.

That would work even better!

It would be the most logical and rational thing to do but lets admit it; doing logical and rational things is the worst basis for an exciting adventure half the time! It’s like how no great story ever started with eating a salad... or something like that?

I can think of one salad I wouldn't mind starting an adventure eating.

Bad innuendo aside, I'm actually quite curious what direction that Snowdrop is going to go. Lots of competition for the four slots, and lots of directions you could take it.

Gremgoblin

Heh. I like you already. 8-)

Yeah, I'm a little worried about the competition too, but I'm digging the characters so far, so I won't mind losing the spot to others. Clearly everyone put thought and effort into their characters.

Yeah, and would be interesting to read/follow the story even if did not get a spot.

Rune

Same here. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I figure that I'm a very long shot as my character is not a dom but a commiserator of the Princess. But I agree, all the characters submitted are outstanding and would make an awesome group!

Pink Professional

Shit, everyone is being nice.

Quick, someone be an asshole and make Snowdrop's job easier.

Rune

OK

You're a jerk and your character is bad.

(pouts)...

That felt wrong. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said those mean things. I think your character is very cool!

*pats her shoulder gently*

You did your best being mean, my end your char is interesting in concept (male knight turned female as bait to kidnappers) is interesting and indeed can fill the role as a secondary toy or as a tool corrupt the princess (give an example of another female enjoying the abuse regularly).

If it's any help, I've never actually played a DnD game before, and Snowdrop is aware of that, so like.. I guess y'all have a leg up on me. :-) Although in the end it's Snowdrops own fault for just making such a damn good RP, ha.

It's not going to be easy for sure, everyone has such awesome concepts and no matter what happens, there's going to be many outstanding ones I'll sadly need to turn down. I'm really kinda dreading that moment >.< (please don't hate me!)

Still, I'm going to do my best to avoid the temptation to just accept more people; I really want this to succeed long-term and not die out quick like so many group games do, and keeping the scope realistic is important for ensuring that can happen, I think!

I say with this many player candidates, in case some player disappears/becomes absent, you got a ready-made replacement pool were pick a new player in.

A Profile
is in here
Who is your character? 19-year old Arg'hash Pryor, Half-orcish Druid of the Moon (with those four words right there I probably have to immediately put full and complete assurances that there will be absolutely no beast form shenanigans) (and as an additional note, for the sake of party composition I'm willing to choose another Circle as needed to exploit dat sweet druid hybrid capacity. Since the lore is semi-flexible I can always modulate the other circles a bit to taste- I settled on Moon primarily for lore and characterization reasons, after all)

Where are they from? The orcish clans of Eboria were subjugated only after the unification of the kingdom. Irregular raids and incursions occurred into the borderlands of the eastern and northern breadbasket regions until further military campaigns decimated their numbers and drove the majority of the remaining belligerents out to sea, leaving only a few scattered tribes in highlands areas that either kept to themselves or were too pitifully weak to go through the effort of dislodging. These orcs remain to this day, struggling with food security and irrelevant save for isolated threats and limited trade opportunities among the peoples of the sparsely populated borderlands. Half-orcs, thus, while a fairly rare find on the Eboria census can be increasingly found scattered among the settlements of this region, both among the orcs and the civilized peoples.

Arg'hash was one such new generation of mutt, born to Miara Pryor, a traveling merchant, as the result of regrettable drunken reverly. Arg'hash lived a young life somewhere between comfort and hardship. Miara could provide for the both of them, but Arg'hash knew no permanent home, compounding the discrimination he faced in every new town he arrived in, as orcish features by and large are unwelcome to most average citizens of Eboria. He preferred the caravan time spent between cities, where at the age of six his affinity for nature drew the favor of the fey, who guided him away from his mother and civilization to bless him with teachings and wisdoms. He remained for years beyond the boundaries of civilized Eboria, raised, guided, and given companionship by an intimately small pack of druids and by the many spirits of the region.

Despite his youth the half-orc runt, barely coming into the cusp of puberty, began to attract increasing attention to himself as his prowess for the druidic arts led him to increasingly take on with competence tasks druids many years his senior dedicated their lives to: healing the land of the scars it had endured during the era of elemental unrest, finding and safeguarding the artifacts buried deep in nature that the magical storms sometimes produced. All gossip of the fey courts and whispers of the druidic circles eventually work their way up to the paramount guardian of nature herself: the Queen Eriphise would take interest in the boy still undergoing his journey to manhood, and he found himself semi-regularly returning to civilization under her whim and guidance.

possible references

(I actually don't like any of these that much tbh. First looks too old, second looks too well dressed, and the third is literally a woman. But like I like the third the most. It's really hard to tell that chest is a woman's chest, at least for me.)

What are they like? Arg'hash stands on the line that finely defines his heritage: between his lingering fondness for and jealousy of the civilized peoples that often shun him, and his embracing of the customs and traditions of those who purposely and expressly shun civilized demeanor. He's naive and romantic at heart, the legacy of the care and attention given to him by his mother, who assured him of his worth and beauty despite the bullying and rejection he endured. He deeply wishes he could be accepted by everyone, and holds onto idealistic notions that if he works hard enough and gains enough recognition he can overcome the deep-running biases. He is easily influenceable as a result, due to his desperation to be acknowledged by the civilized peoples, and he often holds a wide-eyed respect for authority figures that lacks proper skepticism.

Miscible with this is his wild demeanor, as the Circle of the Moon practices a more primal form of belonging with nature. Among the few druids he considers his mentors their mentality praises survival of the fittest and the necessity of force and might- hence their full support in lockstep behind the Queen, as she is the strongest. Arg'hash thus chafes quietly at law even while respecting it and holding it in high regard: he would be most natural and comfortable in a state of seizing whatever he wanted, wearing no clothes, taking men and women as he felt attracted to their bodies, as is the state of affairs when he leaves civilization and returns to his home in the wild. He often finds himself holding his tongue despite his precocious experience and wisdom learned from the Wild, and feels slighted and disrespected by those many years his senior. These contradictions and confusions wear on him, and he is simply too youthful to maturely determine the proper balance of his two selves.

Do they have friends, family, relatives, connections? Arg'hash has reconnected with his mother, but finds himself uncomfortable that she has since settled down in a sleepy coastal hamlet and started a new family.

Arg'hash is at least known by name among most of Eboria's keepers of the wild by now. This is not universally a positive thing- some of the courts within the ever chaotic whirlwind of the fey do not trust him and believe his rapid ascent to importance was a mistake. The Queen's regard affords him protection, but his presence may only exacerbate some difficulties in navigating the infinitely byzantine politics of the fey peoples. He primarily counts his closest allies among those druids who stay further away from civilization, truly among the fringes, where he feels more relaxed to act as he feels is proper- with the only rule being respected being that of following the alpha.

Inverse to his relative fame among the people outside of civilization, Arg'hash is rarely known to the population at large. His presence in King Leo's court is, by his own choice, discrete, with his entering and exiting the palace grounds often done by way of wild shape to avoid uncomfortable encounters on the streets. Within the court itself he finds he is at least tolerated. It is rare that he meets anyone besides the Queen, but they are at least aware of his presence and his personal cache with the guardian of Eboria, and treat him politely to his face, whatever their true opinions of him may be.

Why has King Leo decided to trust them enough to hire you for his elite group of adventurers? How long have you been with the group? Arg'hash was introduced to the group only relatively recently, and he'd be among its newest members, though he has likely been afforded at least contact and introductions with most of the King's retinue of trusted champions. It was the Queen who, with few words, ensured his place among the Princess' guard-to-be. She kept her reasons to herself, but implied that he will be the direct representation of her will and intent (unless Jokull is there in which case Arg'hash... something something).

What is your preconception of Princess Cliara? Puppy love. Lustful obsession. A dangerous combination.

In a truly life-defining, fedora-tipping moment Arg'hash fell in love with Princess Cliara when they met and her lovely demeanor allowed him to feel not out of place for once, like he belonged. To her, and with her. He is aware of the role she is to play at least vaguely, as Queen Eriphise has not trusted him with the specifics beyond the common knowledge of the prophecy- which, to be fair, he needed catching up on because he missed that too in his years in the wilderness. But as with any young man in love, the practical is of secondary importance to the immaterial- the sound of her voice, the motes of her scent. He dreams and fantasizes of her, with absolutely no ulterior motive, no politics, no glory, nothing besides simply having her.

Claiming her, in other words.

Predictably he's an awkward little shit around her until the rest of the party helps him develop the balls to act on his instinct. Take what he wants.

What are your ons/offs? What are your character’s ons/offs? Some optional ons, specific to the character as envisioned: as he develops confidence he will probably assert that she be naked in more and more of her day-to-day life. So, casual nudity. Plus exhibitionism, since he doesn't personally give a shit about his own nudity or being seen in explicit situations. Rough bestial sex, lots of orgasms, lots of positions. Biting and scratching. Sharing is acceptable- especially if Arg'hash does not feel he is the alpha, he believes the others in the group have the right to take her in addition, and while this gives him some emotional conniptions it is also adhering to his fundamental trust in the order of nature. Also he kind of finds it hot in a shameful way, to see the thing he loves violated and used. So, group play. I'm particularly interested in his mentality being shifted by the others in the group- as he's highly deferential to the authority he perceives in everyone else, he will adapt through a slow and painful process of development to essentially reflect the groups kinks in aggregate. I'm pretty open to most things in a setup like this.

More generally, he'll probably also continue to try to ingratiate himself to her and to generally be creepy and weird at her, so there will be some amount of scenes I will find cosmically hilarious like him breathing heavily while watching her sleep, him complaining about how she's not paying attention to him (having piledriven her through the bed frame an hour prior) to whoever else in the group will listen. Might lead to some really twisted emotional complexity assuming he can actually in any way win her trust or regard, or perhaps some form of gaslighting setup where he keeps treating her well when he isn't using and abusing her with the others.

A personal on, also totally optional but not particularly related to what he might or might not do, would be breath control. I like choking stuff as a dominant, what can I say.

I have no specific offs that everybody else hasn't mentioned.

went over the other characters
Mortimer - "I do find comfort in his sermon. How must I say it- a hospitable soul... but not a naive one. I hope to learn from his poise and courage." {A'nora's teachings resonate strongly with Arg'hash. He has nothing but respect for Sir Blackthorn's prowess and demeanor and wishes to impress his elder. When he learns of Sir Blackthorn's interest in Cliara's body he would be honored to share in the spoils- as men do.}
Victoria - "A soul forged by the Wild, I'd say. Apparently, Lady Victoria wants to rut a dragon? Probably inadvisable? But who am I to tell her what she can and can't do?" {He's impressed by her, but she's a bit too rowdy to probably command the same sort of admiration he has for the group members who ooze poise and authority more directly. He'd feel more her equal, and would rather be her drinking buddy, and tag along with her looking to absorb some of her skills in getting laid. If the whole 'marry the Princess for wealth' thing comes up he'd probably consider her enough of a friend to welcome the challenge.}
Cedevax - "The culture of the Wolf is a place I could belong, I think. I will be sure to visit the people of his tribe... should I return from this alive." {Sir Cedevax's culture reflects that of the druidic circles that Arg'hash was molded and shaped by. Arg'hash would view the barbarian as a kindred spirit- a friend to be made for revelry, and to reminisce on the easier lives they had back home.}
Tallia - "The Princess sees her as a friend, so I must too. Imagine if the Princess could dance and tempt with such effortlessness... Well, there might be some lessons shared. I. Cannot deny, that I don't enjoy the thought of that." {He rather likes her, above and beyond the superficial 'dang she hot'. Lady Tallia's talents and willingness to do what must be done to accomplish the mission invoke a certain pity in Arg'hash, as his empathic inklings (high insight babeeeeee) might make him curious about what lurks under the surface. That said, she'll need to be careful about whoring herself out too many times or he might just start to dehumanize her accordingly...}
Evilin - "She's... cynical. Doesn't speak much, does she? I suppose we are all here for some ulterior motive, aren't we? I think. Um, hm. I suppose I should not pry too much- her business is her own." {Regardless of what he says he doesn't trust someone who's coldly in on it for the cash. He might get the sense that her motivations aren't purely economical, but once again he has no reason to say anything if nobody else notices.}
Erkhardt - "I have always been impressed by his sheer presence, it seems to precede him in the King's court. Perhaps someday I could impart wisdom and knowledge the same way he does, and I think it would do me good to learn from his example." {He's a bit more jealous, behind the scenes of his open praise of the King's paladin. He respects him greatly and wishes to follow in the paladin's footsteps as a great asset to the King's empire someday, but he also does feel some passive resentment of how Erkhardt has history with the full court and with the Princess specifically, and how he never had to hide and scurry like Arg'hash did. If he learns of Erkhart's attractions to Cliara he'd consider the older man a proper threat- what can a lowly half-orc runt offer, compared to such an accomplished and vitally powerful man?}
Baerdur - "I can't help but appreciate that his counsel often amounts to, drink and fuck the problem away. It's almost mind-bogglingly simple, isn't it? I believe he has my best interests at heart, and I absolutely must listen and learn." {Baerdur would be interested in helping Arg'hash relax and embrace his instinct instead of trying to pretend he's a proper man of civilization and Arg'hash would certainly listen. The satyr's wisdom would be much appreciated as would his friendship in the more mundane day-to-day of life. No way Arg'hash isn't going drinking with his buddy and mentor, in that order. Baerdur would probably help Arg'hash out of his shell quick-like, and of course he'd be glad to share the Princess as a result.}
Lilianne - "I do wonder if the Princess is truly fond of Lady Lilianne, or if she fears her. Are those two things not, ultimately, one and the same? Hm... I'd also be both at once. Lady Lilianne is not one I would cross lightly- at all, really. I imagine she'd be able to destroy you with speech, with politics, long before she ever has to raise a blade." {Another case of him being at once in awe of a civilized person's accomplishments and acumen while also being jealous of how Lady Lilianne had such intimate access to the Princess. He'd probably, to some extent, jockey for Lady Lilianne to in a way take him under her wing as well, that he might pick up on some of the finer skills she has to offer. I foresee that he'll largely agree with her intent and methodology in training the Princess, since Lady Lilianne presents neither a threat for the Princess' affections and he understands she genuinely has the Princess' best interests at heart.}
Delona - "She... talks too much, doesn't she? But it is not my place to question one so accomplished. Is it not that her power and ambition will serve the Kingdom well? Her curiosity as well- it is indeed an age of mortals, or at least I'd speculate so. I do not know if the Summer Court (campaign specific druid lore pending my being chosen!) would agree with me." {His praise comes from a genuine place, as he believes in might is right, so the mortals seizing power by way of studying and bending the arcane forces of the world does not sit wrongly with him, so long as he does not believe it will lead to destabilizing the elements, which he has no cause to. He respects her, but he also distrusts her naked ambition... and also she's genuinely kind of annoying. He can sense her disregard for him, and can probably also tell when her interest in him shifts that it's just out of convenience's sake. He'll also be fairly against her and the Princess getting close, as he'll likely be (rightly) prejudiced against it as he sees it as more naked ambition. That said, he approves of her methods as well. Making the Princess stronger through her ordeals is only a win in his book, and he might reluctantly endorse her methodology over others proposed.}
Jokull - "It has been a while, old friend. If you're back this is far more serious than I thought. I will follow you to my death: for the Queen, for the Wild, for the Kingdom." {Full deference. There are few who will truly command his respect, who he will at least feel he understands and who he feels understands him, as the mysterious fey among whom the Queen counts herself. He appreciates someone who takes his duty seriously, and who has possibly been at the game so long even Arg'hash's impressive litany of accomplishments as a druid are relatively irrelevant in the time scales Jokull operates on. In a way Arg'hash may fill in for himself any personal information that Jokull does not volunteer- the half-orc is almost determined to create a mythos of Jokull, perhaps to the detriment of all involved.}
Winona - "Beautiful, powerful, wild. The peoples of Hailheim have always been impressive, and the Princess Winona is that, all the more so. I... well, I cannot imagine that she will have cause to be pleasant to the Princess. But Princess Winona is mighty and strong. I defer to her judgement and whims." {As stated. Arg'hash respects the people of the north, and probably knows just enough of court politics to know that the Prince Lucian is kind of a loser, thus he believes that Princess Winona's dalliances and interest in the Princess are proper and right. Arg'hash gives Princess Winona this much respect, but of course personally does not trust that a scion of the peoples of Hailheim would not have reason to use her access to the Princess for dubious ends. But Arg'hash has no grounds- in his eye- to bring up his concerns until it's possibly too late.}
Nuneyd - "I... would say I understand the chaos in him reflects the chaos of all the world around us. If that makes sense. The King was not purely a force of good, he was a force of might, and of power. I do not deny that there were negative consequences to the reunification... It's complicated. I do not believe Nuneyd is as righteous as he thinks he is, I will say that much." {Also Nuneyd is also kind of a prick and Arg'hash, while very used to being disrespected on all fronts and counts, still reserves the right to not think much of the volatile sorcerer who might become a liability if not constantly watched. He sympathizes to an extent, but also understands that the Wild demands and extracts harsh debts of the mortal people- thus is merely the balance of life itself. Arg'hash wonders if Nuneyd's struggle is not all merely waste, a man fighting something that cannot be fought. Should Nuneyd ever win, Arg'hash will swear fealty and not expect to survive, as is proper. But, Nuneyd probably will not win.}
Beldon/Belle - "Amazing what the fey can think up, isn't it? It suits him... her, them, it suits them well. I'd say they make a natural fit for the role." {Well, it's difficult to respect Sir Beldon after the fact, isn't it? Their entire role in the group invites a pretty one-sided dynamic. Not that Arg'hash necessarily minds. He might be sympathetic when there is no group train being run on the poor erstwhile knight, but even then he can't help but appreciate how well it seems to work on them. It is their destiny, perhaps, to be so simperingly beautiful.}
Melanthe - "I feel it's... inappropriate, what I feel about Lady Melanthe. It would be like me being so presumptuous that I could have wanton eyes for the Queen of the Wild herself. But, a natural urge is a natural urge. You know how it goes." {As a creature of the fey onboarded by none other than the Queen herself Arg'hash probably finds himself at once respectful of, in awe of, and completely caught up in her. Her fey aura of lust is one he will openly indulge in, trusting it as something that is natural and ordained by the Wild. Thus, he will be attracted to her openly, though he finds her too mysterious and untouchably perfect to really desire her in the same heartfelt way he does the Princess. She, like Jokull, will command his respect and attention in a way no other in the party can.}
Arg'hash - "I am out of my depth, aren't I? But that can change." {Arg'hash certainly feels inadequate, but he will hardly let that stop him. It is only natural to grow and evolve.}
Carlness - "Perhaps his presence is a sign that I am more blessed than I thought. I cannot imagine going through the things he has- that the Princess alone has tried to anchor him to this world instead of the next, is that not a true sign of her beautiful heart?" {He is in no way put off by the eldritch miasma that his presence implies, the twisting he enforces onto reality with by being such an aberration. Arg'hash can feel kinship with someone whose place in the world is so fraught, and he will certainly try to reach out and be a good friend and companion.}
Abigail - "Well, don't tell anyone else this but I do think her lacking height is becoming. And not in a condescending way, believe me. It is the nature of things that true power comes from the most unexpected sources." {He's probably seen her at a distance around the court, and been curious in her inventions, which he keeps an open mind towards. She probably does not think highly of him- he's not particularly smart, and even if he were he wouldn't feel empowered to express himself. Particularly, her interest in the Princess and being of similar age to both Arg'hash and the Princess makes him see her as a proper threat for the Princess' romantic affections- after all, Lady Abigail is a noble, a power player within the new united state of Eboria. She is someone who, as a marriage of political convenience alone, could offer much more than Arg'hash ever could. So, maybe he does comfort himself a bit by trying to provoke her- she earned it, she probably treats him like shit. But he'll also be intrigued by her, and maybe have a bit of a crush. Not to the same degree he does on the Princess, of course.}
Ashivon - "He is a good man despite the tribulations of his past. I feel for him, though... I cannot say I like how he looks at the Princess that much. But what am I to do? It is his right." {Arg'hash probably feels that Ashivon has appropriately atoned for his sins- after all, the Queen would not forgive anyone lightly. Arg'hash would try to extend the hand of friendship to Ashivon then, perhaps not so much as fellow members of the court but beyond, when they are traveling together as the escort of the Princess. He might also recognize, to a greater extent than Ashivon himself does, the tieflings affections for the Princess. Yet another threat to keep in mind- what Princess wouldn't want a badass killer turned good boy? How could a lowly orc mutt compare?}
Roland - "Another man of strength and prestige, it truly seems the Princess is surrounded by so many who are so impressive... I respect Sir Roland, at least, in that I can relate to his chafing against the strict rule of court in favor for simpler repast." {He does wonder if Roland has learned anything, with his duchy being a gateway to the dwarves of The Seven Dooms. Dwarves, being the relative recluses that they are, are not common to Arg'hash, and he would be excited to swap stories... Sir Roland is an amiable sort, and perhaps not so much a threat for the Princess' affection. Another partner to divvy the booty with, perhaps.}
Cassian - "His spirit is kin to mine, it is as if he has lived a life alongside me in the wild though that is the furthest thing from the truth. Of all of the Princess' retainers, I would have it that she'd learned the most from his example." {Sir Cassian would truly be the sort of man Arg'hash would wish to make a good friend of, perhaps not being so quick to ingratiate himself as he sees in the dwarf a spirit too kindred to alienate the young boy despite the gulf in experience. This would blunt the half-orcs usual jealousy for those who were close to the Princess by right of their positions in the court. Without viewing Sir Cassian as a threat, perhaps Arg'hash would instead be inclined to propose sharing her for the fun of it.}
Zerran - "He's so bold and defiant. I... well, I feel inadequate, I will say that much. He is the man I perhaps should strive to be, but. Is it within my right? Within my power? To be so free as to defile the very woman who has brought me to power? {Indeed it is his right. Sir Zerran would be someone who appeals to Arg'hash for his story, for the openness with which he defies civilized law and demeanor. Zerran is very much the sort of man Arg'hash wishes he could be, and if given the time to learn under Zerran's perhaps mercurial guidance, Arg'hash will probably understand his heritage and birthright- he owes the civilized peoples nothing. Fuck them, literally.}
Rok'marr - "The Beastslayers of the North are great and powerful allies of the Kingdom, and of keeping the balance. I have known them since being a little baby, and I always have respected Sir Rok'marr's leadership. He will guide us to victory on the battlefield, I am sure." {Another man of orcish descent that Arg'hash will greatly respect, but unlike Zerran there is no complication introduced by being of similar mutt lineage. Instead Arg'hash sees the barbarian of the north as a true leader and ally of the Wild, one that he will be grateful to learn from and study under. This will, of course, inevitably lead him into embracing the wilder side of himself, into casting off the shackles of his know-towing to the civilized peoples.}
Logan - "A skilled and honorable man. It seems that with experience, perhaps I can hope to be comfortable on either side of a city walls much like he is. His guidance is always appreciated, and I believe he has the right mentality for handling the Princess with the respect she deserves." {And the cock she deserves, natch. Sir Logan's ease of handling the divide between the civilized and Wild makes him a natural fit for being a good friend of the youthful, headstrong half-orc boy. They have both done well to do their duty on behalf of the Kingdom, and perhaps they have even fought together on the frontier during the taming of the elementals?}

But yeah I'll probably be reading this even if I don't get in! Like snowdrop said, appropriate group size is critical for this going well. I'm excited to see what group combo snowdrop picks :0

Pink Professional

Suddenly tempted to steal the 'What they think of the others' idea.

Arg'hash is a lot of fun though, and another excellent addition to make Snowdrop's life difficult.

Funnily enough, Delona was more or less exactly who I was thinking of applying before I saw you'd gotten there first :0

Haha, great minds and all that.

Delona seemed like a very obvious fit, and she'd enjoy having an Orcish Druid Boytoy around to be sure.

OK

You're a jerk and your character is bad.

(pouts)...

That felt wrong. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said those mean things. I think your character is very cool!

It's okay. You tried your best and I appreciate that. Much like I appreciate your character concept; very original idea and a fun way to twist the dynamic.

A good way of looking at it. :-) Starting to think I may have shot myself in the foot by making him so much of an outsider, but what is done is done, and I thought the best way to make things interesting is to come up with something out of the box and different.

Given the diversity of approaches, you might get stumped even before it comes to specific characters ^_^ I mean, it looks like there's already more attitude/dispostion combinations than party slots, so the desired party dynamics choice will probably come up first.

Who is your character?
Carlness, an human Artificier/Archetype Armorer or Ranger/Archetype Gloom Stalker

Where is he from?
Carlness has been taken captive by the mind flayers, who have launched an invasion of Faerûn. The illithid implant  humanoïds often with an illithid tadpole, a parasite capable of enthralling and transforming them into another mind flayer. Before the mind flayers can transform their victims, the nautiloid flying ship they are all aboard comes under attack from githyanki warriors and flees through multiple realms of the Multiverse. Carlness freed during the fighting and steers the damaged ship back to Eboria, where it crashes in Underdark.

What is he like?
Though agreeable, he is also stubborn, unwavering from his goals. He is passionate about alchemy, medecine, arcana and inventions. He interested by the mechanisms of the living body. The more he studied the complexities of anatomy, the more he came to realize there was too much to learn about the nature of life in a single life span. His obsession is to acquire knowledge, powers from the illithids.

Do he have friends, family, relatives, connections?
His parents were murdered in front of him during his kidnapping. Because of this, he had to learn to survive and to move stealthily. A great deal of bitterness remains in Carlness’s heart regarding his family, making his more ruthless than he’d like to admit, but much of that is tempered by the princess’s influence. While he refuses to admit it, she still sees the princess as the only family who ever reached out to him, and he is willing to do anything to keep the princess safe. There is a connection wih Academy in the Capitol that hired to study differents creatures that Carlness charged with the catching for several years.

He had the opportunity to discuss with Mortimer, Talia and Ashivon about Nocticula (pronounced nok-TICK-you-lah), the Redeemer Queen, that is a goddess of artists, midnight and exiles, and a former demon lord who concerned herself then with the metaphysical qualities of darkness and lust. She excelled in seduction, beauty, cruelty, and sadism. A divinity that is native from Fâerun.

Carlness met Victoria in a tavern the Whispering Stone in the capitol where she mentioned her desire to copulate with a dragon to which he replied that she should amasse a lot of gold for this goal. He speaked about a ritual to create a guard drake, a creature related to the dragon.

During his visits to Cliara, he crossed path Erkhardt, the royal guard. He wondered if the paladin was willing to embrace change or not.

At the College of Magic Studies, he could see Lilianne and Delona. Delona seems to study the graviturgy. Carlness mentioned her that the flow of time is important also and must not be neglected. That is a significant constraint of itself. She seems to prove something to her father or herself.

Jokull keeps some sort of mystery about him, is it to be interesting ? Or dark motives one way or another ?

Nunyed is an interesting topic because she has psionic abilities. But she accepted many shackles,does she have lost a part of herself  ?

Beldon is now a woman but he really wants to become again a man ? Is it an opportunity for him/her ? Or a constraint from the destiny ?

Arg'hash was ablet  to make its own way in the world although he was detested because of its origins. Carlness was told about the myconids and their spores that produce to influence other creatures because he was very interesting to talk about the nature with the half orc.

Why has King Leo decided to trust them enough to hire you for his elite group of adventurers?
Firstly, he is deemed to track his prey as bounty hunter. Secondly, the King blame perhaps Carlness for the disappearance of Cliara because he had offered her princess paintings about the places that he visited during his travels.

How long have you been with the group?
(coming soon, I need to go read the characters from the different players)

What is your preconception of Princess Cliara?
Happy to live an extravagant life free from crushing responsibility, this is certainly the reason why the princess has left the castle. « Everyone has free will, however. » as he kept saying to her.

Aspirations/Goals :
Goal that your character wants to attain and what complication might ensue once the goal is met for good or for ill.

Immediate goal : I will defeat the creature that killed my parents. Its defeat might make me question my purpose in life.

Long term goal : I will stand before Princess Cliara and briefly hold the fate of the kingdom in my hand. I won't realize the gravity of my decision until it is too late.

Goal at the end of the campaign : I will unlock the secrets of arcane that the mind flayers are hiding. This knowledge will open my mind to a terrifying truth.

Favorite Food :
A dish of pickled horse meat served with potatoes.

Mysterious Secret :
He forged an aberrant mark on his body linked to illithid. (similar to a dragonmark from Eberron, but it’s as a aberrant dragonmark (feat) : discussion for the tentacle abilities with DM [optional]).
Carlness has 2 dicks. He attacked a tadpole on his pubis. For 10 years, he nourished in a basin with semen, sperm, fluid from squirting instead brain because the tadpole needed enzymes to develop and survive. So as these fluids have enzyme similarly to a brain, the tadpole attached with success and became a second dick.

What are your ons/offs? What are your character’s ons/offs?
Carlness loves to be in control when he fucks someone (perhaps because with his misadventure with illithids). He likes all physical characters except obese and overweight. He prefers female partners. He can copulate with all races and species if she attracted by the partner. She likes large and small breasts. He is not paying enough attention to the status.
He likes anal and vaginal sex, the bondage, domination, multiple partners, oral sex, using sex toys, ropes, tentacles ...

He doesn't like giving or receveing ennemas, scat and hates pain and torture.

I was having similar thoughts, except have the king sign it since he is the one who sent us on the quest.

And here was me, thinking maybe someone neglected to tell the king the whole truth, and when he finds out what we're really planning we'll have all the king's horses and all the kings men after us...

Parading a naked princess around is so much more thrilling when there's consequences, don't you think? If you can do it, and nobody batts an eye, then really, what's the point?

That's my take anyway.
