I hope this is just the efforst of some grieving parents...really really hope it is.  Otherwise this is going to set back all the advances made in having people donate.

We should bear in mind this is only an accusation...probably grieving parents, as others believe.

If it isn't, there'll be hell to pay for everyone involved.  That alone is enough reason that I seriously doubt anyone would attempt anything along the lines of what the parents are accusing.  It's likely there are procedures in place to thoroughly document events surrounding such deaths and organ removal.

But if the lawsuit does go to trial, you can bet hospitals around the country will be tightening procedures in such matters.

I'm just worried that all the work put into assuring the public that this is safe and good is gone.  Alot of people have that fear about signing over their organs and not being given medical treatment because they are donors.  This is simply not the case.  There are legal documents to be signed, inspections to go through and various other safeguards put into place.  These parents are playing off those fears in this lawsuit and I hope it avoid large scale media attention.  I hope they are wrong because otherwise CORE has ruined all their work.

Transplants do save lives.  Alot of people are alive now because they got an organ from someone.
