Final Fantasy II. I'm kind of surprised how OP you can get by just never running from reasonable fights. (FF 2 has an Elder Scrolls style leveling up system--or maybe TES has a FF 2 style system--of actions against you and others in combat leads to stat increases and weapon/magic increases.)

Grabbed Dark Souls Remastered on sale, and I'm just now booting it up.

Considering my track record with Elden Ring, and it being "easier" than the other Dark Souls games...

I think I might be in for a world of hurt.

I found ER easier than DS, but I think that's only because I made it two bosses in whereas I think I just did the first on DS. My opinion may be skewed because I also think DS is a nightmare to navigate, whereas ER was more friendly in that regard to me.

DS has definitely proven to be a nightmare in the short period I've been playing.

A key didn't drop like it should, and the NPC that's supposed to give the key if it doesn't drop died somehow, so I spent a good hour running around trying to figure out if it was just a secret I was missing before I thought to check...

Quit, reload, key's there. :|
