Hanged Man, can you give me a summary of what you have established about the people who crated Praetorian, including where he was found?  Is there anything you absolutely do not want me to add to their culture and technolog?  :)

So looks like I will be bringing to the table a Gate Guardian/Tech genius from the world of Imago. I am thinking they have done some watching of the gate  in the popular vr game Ikarion. This Gate Leads to Ikarus.

Awesome!  This girl(?) will work great on a whole lot of levels. 

Clarify: she's not the Key to the gate, right?  but rather one of her duties would include protecting that key?

My interperation of the Tech Specialist's Power Flux by the wya, Marie: 
--Standard Power Flux: State of the art technology.
--Advanced Power Flux:  "Hypertech"
--Cosmic Power Flux:  "Sufficiently Advanced Technology"

Obviously all these things are hard to pin down, doubly so when we're moving from world to world.  What's hypertech on earth is state of the art on Imago, but people from both of those worlds might look at Pratorean and say, "That's preetty hard to distinguish from magic!"

I had less of a summary, and more of a bullet point list of features. I always figured I'd write them out more fully as things went along, as that is my style. But here are the bullet points:

*They used Magitek to power most everything. Some of it was more 'magic' than 'tech' (like those crystals used in the generator), and some of it was more tech than magic (like Praetorian).
*Praetorian is made from a magic metal that can convert any other substance into more of itself. The stuff he's made from is a "neutered" form of this magitek metal, and it can only function to restore the magitek metal portions of his body-- his skin, in essence. Transmutation was a very big component to this empire.
*This empire was obsessed with creation and technology.
*They had a succession of King and Queen Regents. The two qualifiers they valued in their ruler was: A) being born from the Holy Bloodline that went back a hundred generations, and B) Competency. Meritocratic values meant that the throne was always inherited by the one most capable of holding the position.
*A sort of "grey goo" phenomena destroyed most of the civilization, its people, and its creations. The things they were working on got too unstable, too uncontrollable, and those that weren't scourged into non-existence were unable to ever rebuild their civilization; leaving behind nothing but ruins (and only very little tech relics; there might be only a dozen like Praetorian in existence now).
*Praetorian's model was designed specifically for use as a bodyguard for royalty and other VIPs. Having one was a mark of prestige, and each one was heavily customized and unique. More specifically, Praetorian was a 'royal guard' of the Holy Bloodline.
*While most of Praetorian can regenerate itself because of the magitek metal, he also has a whole slew of components that are made from more conventional things. If his power level increases, it's less through the development of new skills and powers, and more from repairing the damaged systems, replacing or repairing damaged gears, etc.
*Praetorian has a ton of damaged systems and his memory is heavily fragmented. I had the idea of 'memory cores' getting unlocked as he found skilled technicians that could help restore him back to full form, and those memory cores were going to be how I expounded on the empire that created him.
*Praetorian does have a soul. Any other intelligent machines that might have survived from that era will have souls; they also have programming, which is why he comes across as robot-y.

Of course, I'm willing to work out these ideas more with you, Muse.  I see it more as 'written in wet clay' rather than 'chiseled from stone'. I'd say don't add anything that would directly contradict the bullet points.

Where Praetorian was found was a smaller workshop where they worked on new prototypes, but consequently, also had tons of stuff around for repairs.  He was supposed to be repaired, but unfortunately, disaster came before they could fix him up.

Edit:  Is everyone comfortable with NC Exotic System?  (I prefer that this story be adventure heavy, but would love some fan service and if the opportunity for quality smut comes up...) 

Also, the "age of consent" for elliquiy characters--not to be confused with the age of consent for character portraits--is sixteen.  Is anyone not comfortable with that?  :)

If you go to elliquiy's main page and look a the game boards they're divided by content. 

So NC means that games on that board can have non consensual stories.  (Fantasy rape.)  Exotic means that your character might get into a sexual situation with someone who isn't human like.  This is where tentacle monsters come in.  System just means games played with a system instead of free form.  So it's elliquiy, not BESM. 

Maximum Points of Defects is a BESM thing.  Remember how your character has the curse where she falls out of her clothes and stuff?  Those are defects, and they give her more points to create her character.

I am making that character to join in.

Nina Nalaar will be the main character who is a scavenger space traveler who explores technology on undiscovered planets. She'd be on the cusp of making her own power armor like Iron Man or Samus Aran, so she'd have blasters and be very good at tinkering and engineering.

But she'll have an alternate form. She'll have discovered an artifact that had sealed their goddess queen's power and that power escaped into Nina. At times, Nina will be overcome by it and change form. Body, mind, soul, personality, and attitude. She'll become a lesser form of that goddess queen who is more whimsical and magically powered compared to Nina's scientific expertise
