Conspiracy [M/M, High Fantasy]

Looking for new writers and new plots. I don't have much in the way of prebuilt or thorough plots myself but wanted to put this RT out there and advertise the kinds of characters and settings I'd love to play. Hopefully someone has an opening I might be compatible for. Feel free to dump ideas via PM if interested. Please read my ONs/OFFs for more information regarding my preferences.

Conspiracy (high fantasy)
MC has become recently involved in a plot to poison his king, having served either directly under the king or lived among the townsfolk as an alchemist/apothecary. YC could either be a wounded soldier or noble that is currently being cared for by MC, a healer, as someone who perhaps considers himself a loyalist yet wisens to this plot. AND/OR YC could be the man who swayed MC into procuring poison, or inviting him into a group of similarly-minded rebels. For appearance or backstory, MC is an older man who lives a relatively quiet life otherwise or up until the events of the RP. I'm a big fan of unconventional looking elves (odd proportions or physical attributes not typical of generic D&D elves) for MC, and am open to a wide variety of appearances for YC, whether human, elf, dwarf, anthro/beast racees. I only ask that characters aren't so young (~30s at least).
The plot could go in a number of directions. Perhaps MC or his fellow conspirators are caught and captured after the death of the king, or before having prevented his death. Perhaps they succeed in their murder which throws the city or nation into political disarray. If we'd like to really ramp up the high fantasy inspiration, the king's death could trigger a disaster magical in nature, rendering both our characters as refugees in a destroyed kingdom and changing the story completely.
When it comes to character preference and sex scenes, I didn't envision my character as physically aggressive. I typically write tops and am comfortable doing so, but this is more so a chance for me to write someone softer, even if he still fills that position in bed. Ideally, I'd like both male leads to be able to play equal roles or "switch" but keep in mind that for once I don't plan to play as a brute. MC could also be, if it serves his motivations or the plot as well, a widower. I'm open to similar themes when it comes to YC, whether he's married/engaged for political or personal means. Open to very dark themes if that's something my writing partner would like to inject into the plot or relationship between our male leads.
