A Destroyermen set roleplay

This is something ive been thinking up for a few days, and just needed some final details before I judged it ready. Its based on the book series Destroyermen, by  Taylor Anderson, a truly amazing series.

I'm playing out one version already, but love to play out multiple versions with people. I thought up some variants and thought I would put them in, hoping that someone who loves the book series as much as I do sees this and wants to play it out with me

I have a few versions that can be played out with the characters from the book. I would be playing the Captain of a US Navy heavy cruiser, the Indeanapolis, on an alternate earth where WW2 is being fought as well, but things are a bit different, as women would have achieved full equality a lot sooner, hence her position as Captain of a heavy cruiser. She would be tasked with escorting several troopships and freighters with war materiel from the east coast to the french coast, and would be pulled through via the portals, along with two of the ships she was escorting, along with a german U-boat that was close and moving in to sink them.

Alternatively, I could be the Commander of a US built submarine, like the I-400 series that japan had, only we would be resupplying commando forces on occupied islands. We're pulled through the portal to the world in destroyermen, come across the Alliance fighting the Doms perhaps, target them with our torpedoes, and make contact.

My third idea goes like this. On our earth, Japan did invade the Hawaian Islands, and I'm part of a force to take them back after 4 to 6 months of preparations. I would be in command of the Heavy cruiser Indeanapolis, with two destroyers, and an amphibious force of 2000 marines to take back the island of Kaua'i. Instead of arriving there, we are brought through the portal, to find a very different world than we had left.

If any of these interests anyone, let me know. Its a rich book series and world that was created,and I would really love to play it out with someone.

Reading through that series now...not quite done. It is fleshed out in interesting ways.
