Hob

TAKEN

Savage Magic

He's not like the other orcs, they tell him. He's just a half-orc, really. He's been educated by humans, studied at the most impressive schools of magic for years, and he speaks in tones far more cultured than any pink-skinned courtier. "How much of a threat could he really be?" they reassure themselves.

But they're wrong. The humans who raised him are wrong. The orcs who disdain him are wrong. The elves and dwarves and halflings who think they know who and what they're dealing with, the ones barely concealing their patronizing amusement behind snide smiles? None of them realize that beneath the carefully cultivated layer of civility and manners beats the heart of a true orc. Pushed hard enough, and he'll show everyone just how wrong they are about him. And they'll learn that you should never piss off a creature capable of savage fury who also knows how to cast Hold Person and Fireball...

So what I'm hoping to find is someone to write with, a partner who will help develop the world in which this happens and play a female foil/rival/frenemy/love interest against this character. Elf-orc pairings seem popular, but truly whatever partner joins in on this has their own say in what they play. The premise is that he's employed at a university of magic, been getting denied promotion and transfer time and time again, and is generally looked down upon... until someone comes along and finally pushes all of the buttons.

If this plot-idea at all sounds interesting to you, please PM me. Before you do that, though? Please take a look at my Ons & Offs Thread (there are additional story ideas to be had there, as well) and also at my previous posts for other stories. That might give you a better idea of what I can bring to the table and offer a potential partner.

Also be forewarned that I don't check my PMs on an hourly or even daily basis, so if I don't respond right away, it's not because I'm ignoring you. All PMs will be responded to.

Wishing you the joy of the day, and the pleasures of the night.
