What had been added was metamorphosis animation of a kind that had become a Fleischer specialty and that Disney rarely if ever used; he noted that the Fleischer cartoon "is an entirely different sort of thing than ours."

To have even a chance of conjuring up a living at magic, you probably must convince corporations to hire you for their parties and trade shows.

"In almost every state in the Union, the state capital is not in the largest city, and the reason for that is, the states were all founded by farmers, not businessmen or academics, and farmers don't trust cities."

"What I like most about the batter ratios, though, is what they have to teach us about the similarities between the extensive variety of preparation, the impact of the proportions of fundamental ingredients."

Ratio: The simple codes behind the craft of every day cooking, by Michael Ruhlman

It is the un-cookbook.  Not a list of recipes, but rather the extremely basic fundamentals of various types of foods, such as the fundamental ratio for bread.  Once you have that, you can modify to your hearts content and never look at a recipe book again.  I am loving this book!
