Hello there, everyone. I'm here to push two story ideas that I very much enjoyed the premise of but was never able to actually get very far off the ground, if at all. I'll give a little bit of information about me before getting to the ideas. I work in healthcare, so my schedule is very inconsistent and sporadic...even now with the epidemic running rampant. There are times when I can bang out multiple posts a week and there are times where my goal is to just get you one. I do my best to be open and honest with communication. My post length varies. I believe in using enough words to tell the story, and tell it well, but I'm not going to waste our time with fluff that doesn't contribute to the story. That being said, my posts tend to average somewhere between 500 and 1500 words. It really depends on what's going on in the scene and what I have to work with. My O/Os can be found here. I have a deep love for FXF stories, but the gender of the writer doesn't really matter to me. While that love does exist, I'm certainly willing to discuss other pairings. If you have any questions, feel free to hit my DMs.

Now...on to the stories :-D

The first concept is a darker Urban Fantasy mixed with some potential cyberpunk. Mildly futuristic in time, the world has accepted the preternatural existence and has tried to move forward with it. But corporations have essentially overrun/bought and paid for the government. They compete with each other and run fast and free around governmental regulations that exist for the standard population. Preternaturals also have their own more clandestine groups that all have their own motivations. But with the addition of preternatural knowledge, technological capabilities have skyrocketed. It's not just the humans that use them. Social issues, such as addiction, have become even more noticeable with the rise of new substances that have found their way into the markets. This story centers around two espionage individuals who work for different groups but are looking for the same item/job. I'll link the opening post to the story as it was to provide a better idea, but I'm open to pretty much any character concept you might have for the opposing agent. We can build something new, since it never really got off the ground. :-)

A Tale of Blood and Magick

The second concept is a more post apocalyptic concept. In the Old World, technology thrived. It was advanced enough to offer space travel, hover technology, and advanced medicine. But humanity destroyed itself with war and mother nature was more than happy to reclaim her planet. Forests now swallow the ruins of vast cities. Predators have evolved and mutated with the leaking materials of the Old World. Humanity has survived but only about 1/4 of the total world population remains...And they've returned to the more simple concepts of what humanity had been before the rise of technology. There are hunters that band together in gangs and war bands...and the every day survivor who is just looking to make it another day. Some come together in villages, but they are rare considering those villages become targets for plundering. Much of the remnants of Old World technology is still laying around to be scavenged, but finding the unique individuals who have the knowledge and understanding of how to work it all is very, very challenging. My character is one such engineer, a survivor just trying to make her way by trading her skills and knowledge of tech to live another day. Your character would be a gang leader in need of someone who can fix a critical component to the base they've established. Again, I'll link the old thread to give an idea about the setting, but I'm more looking for a new character concept from you. There isn't a need to copy what the previous writer has done.
