When I search my PMs for keywords, very often E cannot find them.
It got to the point of me copying a word from a PM, entering it into the search and getting zero hits even though the PM I copied the word from is right there.

Can't offer much other than condolences myself- I, too, have found the search here a bit squirrelly.
If one thinks of omniscience as causal rather than predictive- not 'THIS!', but 'If this, then that; infinite matrices of infinite dimensions each- it goes a long way towards reconciliation with Free Will.

It does not, however, make it easier to contemplate or accept a being capable of visualizing such an array.

PMs are not indexed and never will be. I should probably disable searching for them if only for performance.

Half the time, searching them doesn't work ... but then half the time it does in my experience.  That's better than none of the time.

especially when one has 26,000 PMs, cough

I use the search feature in PMs and the key to making it work is to click 'show full message in results'. It only seems to work if you do that. I don't know if it shows all messages but I haven't seen anything to suggest it doesn't.

*Hopes you don't disable it*

Does it find sent messages for you, or just received ones?

It's finding some if I search with my own username, but clearly not all.
