I'd like to leave out the racial slur, but yeah, Varisian caravaners sounds great to me!  The only question is, are you gonna be a fake Harrow-reader or a real one?  The art looks perfect for the nightingale of the pair.

edit: oh, wait, they're called Wanderers officially, right?

Hmm I don't see any official reference like that, though I'm not hugely knowledgeable about Golarion lore.

I would probably just stick with the fake side of Harrow reading  :D  Some mind reading might help make that work.  I imagine there would be a broad set of tricks they could use, aside from just Harrow.  From simpler things like seducing a mark into an inn and then the kineticist drops something large and heavy on their head so they can steal their stuff, to convincing people to invest money in a fake business, or the like.

Hi all!

I would like to join in if there is room for another character.

Elenya is a young half elf, raised and trained as a druid in a small elven enclave hidden deep in the heart of an ancient forest.
For the most of her young life, Elenya had a feeling that she was being unfairly treated by the elven masters due to her half elven heritage. The simple truth was that the slow and deliberate studies designed for long lived elven acolytes simply weren't well suited for a short lived half elf. Convinced that she could learn much faster on her own, Elenya left the druid enclave with the of consent of the elven masters.

For a while, Elenya enjoyed a lonely, but carefree life in the peaceful and protected woods surrounding the enclave. She loved digging in her toes into the rich forest soil, swimming in the crystal clear waters of her favorite spring, watching the stars, or dancing under the moonlight.
That jovial period of her life ended one night, when she heard a soft cry of a child nearby. She found two small children, hopelessly lost in the deep woods that Elenya knew so well. She returned the children back to their home. The villagers were grateful, and Elenya started to build friendly ties with the people carving up their life near the woods, teaching them the values of preserving the nature around them.

MECHANICS
Race: half elf
Class: druid feyspeaker
Nature bond: close ties to the natural world, forgoing the animal companion for simplicity sake, and probably choosing the plant domain

Additional notes:
Feyspeaker spellcasting is based on charisma instead of wisdom, thus allowing Elenya to be naive but charming, instead of a overly wise druid.
Feyspeaker removes the option to spontaneously cast summon nature ally, and delays the wild shape ability to level 6.

In terms of on/offs, I am perfectly happy with everything you wrote. And I have decent experience with pathfinder rules.

Thanks! Right now I think I might actually be leaning on making her a bard after all -- as someone who has literally never been in an actual fight in her life, it might make sense that her main asset would be cheerleading and inspiring her friends, at least until she gets more familiar with her real abilities... ^^; Her "instrument" would be singing and dancing, if that works? But I'm still constantly going back and forth the classes so can definitely be persuaded to go in another direction, hah!

Does someone know a good resource for actually making a Pathfinder character? Like a character builder or even a good fillable sheet? Everything my googling finds seems so complicated, I'd rather print out an actual paper sheet and use that...

Mythweavers (https://www.myth-weavers.com/) has a pretty good character sheet to build off of  :)

Aha!  My bad.  Varisian Wanderer is a background in PF1, a background feat in PF2.  The actual culture is just stock Varisian.  It's the Chelish immigrants and Korvosans who intermarried with them and settled in cities.  So the nomads are OG Varisians.  https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Varisian has good cultural notes to hang a character on.

I think I'll specialize more on the thiefcraft skills, then, since you'll be crushing the social ones.  I'll probably take the archetype that casts with Wis instead of Con.  Though we'll see; being super tough has its merits.  So, humans or half-elves?  Either could work easily enough.  And should we be from a Sczarni crime family or nah?  Where should the rest of the family be, and why aren't we there?

also: I've made so fucking many Pathfinder characters under a variety of rulesets, including a level 20 with geopolitical ambitions who took a month to finalize.  I like doing it.  I'd be happy to help anyone who's running into uncertainties.

I believe the above is a list of people who have expressed interest.  If I missed you please let me know!  There is potentially a bit of overlap in classes (even if I go with two groups) but that isn't the end of the world.  A few are a bit light on details/background.

I think I am going to close recruitment now and just go with two groups of six, as I am not sure the work will be that different between 4 and 6.  Plus it means I don't have to reject anyone which I hate doing and always makes me feel like a horrible person.

So if you are still interested despite the larger group please move over to this thread for future posting: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=318848.0

This applies to everyone who is listed above.  If you are not listed above but posted in this thread send me a PM and we'll work it out.  If you aren't interested any longer a PM would be appreciated but I'll figure it out eventually I imagine.  :P
