Never had them pop up on my screen before now, I was typing a message and it just sorta appeared. You can even drag it around, its eyes following your cursor.

I wondered where the 'stafflies' came from. :) That makes sense.

I admit I considered whether it might be malware, but the first one looked a bit 'bookish' for that.

This must've taken some effort. :) They look amazing, though distracting.

I think the funniest part of it is to imagine it's literally members of staff showing up to snoop while you're doing your thing.

Having a hat show up and stare all wide-eyed with wonder in a thread full of adult content is admittedly pretty hilarious.

One workaround I've found to make the site usable if you can't use it with the April Fool's joke going on is to use an adblocker to block elements to block every staff member's avatar. Unfortunately the googly eyes are another element, on some even being two separate elements. But if you block all of those then you won't have to deal with them popping up unwanted until tomorrow.
