So would you like us to PM you our character sheet pitch? :D
Vergil's Faceclaim Archive; For All Your Character Model Seeking Needs!

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

Because there's so many people interested, I'd ask for the following to be done by everyone. I'll wait until everyone has done so before I determine numbers and the like:

  • Send me some examples of your posts or games on here - I like to make sure our writing styles mesh well. In the same post, please send a detailed write up of your desired concept, as well as a note as to which Background and Class you'd choose in preference.
  • If the above's all okay, I'll ask you to post in the OOC Thread of the Dragon Age game - this helps me track who I've admitted to the game, and who I need to chase up.
  • After posting to the OOC Thread, I'd then like you to send me a COMPLETE sheet for your character, willing in all of the information I ask for as part of my character sheet template (visible in the [Dragon Age] Character Sheets thread). Once stats are approved, I'd ask you to post them up in the aforementioned thread using the same template.

I haven't been able to find a copy of the PDF, I'm afraid!

Vergil Tanner

Oh, I should have posted here. I have a copy of the PDF that I can email people if they need it.

Choice is but an Illusion. Consequences are however real.

Well, PM me an email you don't mind me knowing and I'll send it to you. ^_^

Jeez....I'm interested but I'm so terrified of the system (and I know nothing about it). I have played a little bit of D&D 5e, but never played it in a written format and have struggled to get my head around that. I've been eyeing the game for the past couple of days because I've recently started replaying DA:I and I am such a big fan of the series & lore. I also know you've had a lot of interest, so I may not put anything forward, but I've gotta say I'm really interested to see where it goes.

It seems like a lot, but it's just a lot of reading. It's all really simply laid out and easy to understand. I only just started system games a while ago(been a fan of D&D and stuff forever though), but it's not too difficult.

Believe me, as somebody who has been playing Pathfinder for the last four years, the Dragon Age system is NOWHERE NEAR as complicated as D&D. The rulebook is really sensibly laid out, and it being a d6 system means that there are actually a LOT less moving parts. Like, it took me a good few months to get into the swing of Pathfinder. I had a pretty good grasp of the DA system after an afternoon reading the book and creating a "test sheet." It's a deceptively simple game. :-)

Thank you both. I will take a look at the system and I'm sure that since I've played D&D it will be pretty easy to pick up, though I have no idea how the dice rolling works in writing format. If I do decide to join, I'd likely play an Elven Mage (I like being treated like shit apparently x'D)

Juggtacular

You wanna talk about being treated like shit? Try being a Saarebas[Qunari Mage] lol.

Also very true. We're both gluttons for punishment apparently :D

So far, I'm going to prioritise a Rogue concept over another Warrior or Mage - at the moment I have one Warrior and two Mages, I think, and would like to ensure we get at least one of each class before getting underway.

No problem (: I will still read through the system and maybe come up with something else that is preferable if I can.
