Revelation

Are you looking for canon characters from just F/SN, or is the greater body of Fate/ work open as well?

WhichBard

Hm. I'm interested in running either a Caster or Archer for one of the Masters, but I haven't settled on one particular one yet.

WhichBard

Hm... I could go either way, but I think 2:2 may be more feasible if we end up with a lower poster count.

I have the interest to join as Archer servant, with OC one based on Simo Häyhä as heroic spirit. As his deeds during the war should warrant legendary status just sheer skill (and other events). Albeit in Fate verse is mentioned 'guns reduced new heroic spirits appearing', but Simo's case albeit he used a gun, he used it with extraordinary skill. Ofc compared to older heroic spirits he has no 'magic' per say, magical artifacts or spells or occultic lore and such.

But in balance, his noble phantasm can be lethal, fatal even in specific circumstances and as a sniper he sorts dual-class as an assassin (so have assassin class traits as well and thus able disguise his nature as heroic spirit and hide).

In regards numbers fine with two pairs forming alliance vs rest. So it's four people vs rest as NPC's and then ending face each other as deal breaks off.

Zaer Darkwail

Yeah, as said bit mix of archer and assassin (archer comes from his skill with marksmanship and assassin for him being perfectly undetected before he attacks). So perfect camouflage until he attacks and then his stealth drops lower each time he attacks. Only OP factor being when he shot he shot to kill in a single shot, so fellow servant may either be dead or very least critically injured with an opening shot if follow that logic. Ofc there can be servants (like Hercules) who are too tough for him to kill (alone anyways). As Hercules has multiple lives and turns immune to attack after it kills him. Or servants which have passive defenses too tough penetrated even noble phantasm tier bullet.

Oh my god this is so perfect!

I've just started re-watching Unlimited Blade Works because I love it so much.

I would definitely love to reserve Saber!

Are the Masters pre-determined? So for example EMIYA/Archer and Rin Tohsaka? Saber/Shirou? etc etc.

Revelation

Haha, I was gonna go for Saber, but I can take up the mantle of pretty much any servant. Lancer, Rider, and Berserker could all be fun. Well, Berserker could be fun, assuming that we can go with them being capable of communication despite Madness Enhancement.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! Are you okay with me grabbing Saber? I didn't think anyone had claimed her. <3

My only complaint is you seem more apt for Shielder :P

Nah go ahead and make whatever character you want to play! Saber was just what first came to mind for me, but there are other slots open and I am happy to fill in.

Thank you! I'm really looking forward to writing Saber!

Although ... I do have a soft spot for Sakura Saber so I wonder if I would write her or Artoria ... DECISIONS DECISIONS

Unlimited Blade Works Caster had Assassin, Archer and Saber as her own Servants. However with Assassin she was a Fake Master, but with the latter two, she became a proper Master after using her Nobel Phantasm Rule Breaker to null their contracts with their Masters.

With that in mind I don't see why there couldn't be two saber based classes if we wanted there to be using a Rule Breaking Phantasm. Just can't both be same character.

I loved Medea/UBW Caster ♥

I think for now I'll settle on Artoria!

Qt

I am interested in this.

If it is okay I'll just reserve a master spot.

Just one question regarding characters. Is it more preferred that players play canon characters instead of OCs?

Lynnette

As hilarious of an idea as I think it is to pull a double Artoria and throw in Artoria Lancer to the game as well, I'd like to put dibs on Berserker if possible, thinking Mordred.

I did have a question actually!

The setting for this is the Fifth Holy Grail War, so does that mean the events of The Fourth War (Fate/Zero) are canon? This is for me personally but I just want to make sure I write Saber's background correctly, if she has her memories of the Fourth War and her time as Kiritsugu's Servant.

Thank you!

Appearance: A figure shrouded in white, Archer's stature isn't particularly imposing, being that of an old soldier wielding a scuffed and worn rifle, a testament to his lifetime of service. But don't let appearances fool you, wary eyes follow all those around them, a lifetime of experience helping him analyze all threats. Underneath is an average looking man, with a strong jaw and eyes which appear shift between faint red and faint blue color and white hair.

His clothing is white, consisting of a winter warfare coat, with a bunch of gray clothes underneath. His form permanently seems to be shrouded by the snow that coats his form, almost looking more like a ghost or wraith than a man, remnants from the demon that plagued the minds of the Russian infantry who faced him, too afraid to even stick their head out of their trenches to see where the fire was coming from. When it is snowing, he just seems to disappear into the cloud of white as his cloak of winter fades to white.

Name: Simo Häyhä, a.c.a "White Death"

Personality: Simo is a humble spirit, a man of simple pleasures of life and loves animals but the same time enjoys peace and quiet of the woods, even when he is hunting. He does not hunt and kill mooses for the joy of killing, but more because he enjoys moose stew so much. A very unlikely personality for one most ruthless snipers in recorded history, but in his view he 'did was told and did best at given task'. But he privately kept the number of each kill, keeping it personal journal as his 'sin list'. So he felt some remorse for the killing, but he had no choice; it was that or let Russians conquer his homeland.

He downplays his own role and legend in events of the war, given more credit to others than himself and he overall does not speak of the war in great detail. He was highly praised, but also many send him death threats and insults as well. But this simple farmer boy was determined and patriotic to deepest of his core and his determination and hardened spirit of frontier farmer helped him endure what most would later declare a frozen hell on earth. Even his legendary skill he quotes to be the result of practice, despite his nature as heroic spirit would tell otherwise; a talent which cannot be duplicated.

History: Same as in wikipedia

Stats
Strength: E
Endurance: D
Agility: C
Mana: E
Luck: B-
Noble Phantasm/Personal Skills: A

Class abilities:
Independent Action (C) = It is possible for a Servant to stay in the world for one day without a Master.

Skills:
The White Death: (白死, Hakushi) (A++): A crystallization of his legendary sniping prowess, this skill provides him Clairvoyance at a rank of B, and Marksmanship of the rank A++. He was known for his unerring shots upon the Russian infantry, having managed five kills a day during only a few hours of daylight, which is the highest known kill count of any sniper in any recorded war. Simo can see through almost anything, being capable of detecting hidden and invisible enemies, even behind buildings as if they were standing in an open field.

Presence Concealment (C): An unusual skill for an archer class servant, Simo was never the less quite adept at hiding himself in life. Numerous counter snipers, as well as countless artillery strikes, attempted to find this man, yet until nearly a week before the war ended they failed. They simply just failed to find the man, as he took numerous precautions to avoid being shot and killed, even as he continued his deadly task. This has granted him this ability with a Rank of C, which ranks up in snowy environments.

Eye of the Mind (True) (B): Twenty-five years of military service left Simo with a healthy appreciation of the battlefield, which is how he survived for so long as the entire Russian military poured resources into the Battle of Kollaa, it took a full year of the Russians trying to kill him while desperately trying not to die in the process.

Protection From Arrows (A): Similar to the eye of the Mind, this helped him survive numerous attempts by the Russians to kill him during the winter war. It allows him to avoid most projectiles. This ability manifests differently than most versions of this skill, however. It manifests as most of his body being intangible to ranged attacks, even wide-area ones. These types of attacks just pass right through his snowy form without harming him, much to the confusion of enemies. However, there is one spot where this protection doesn't apply. The left side of his jaw isn't immune to ranged attacks, as it is where the bullets which were aimed at him finally found their mark.

Cloak of Winter (A): Simo was a wraith in the snow, a sniper that the Russians could never seem to hit, let alone kill. He was General Winter turning coat and firing back upon his homeland. Many of the troops he killed considered him a demon, a monster in the snow. This fear, this trepidation of the opposing troops has tainted his legend, turning him from a hero to his people to a monster for his foes. Simo's form looks as if it is made of snow and shadow, constantly blowing a cold wind off his body. This ability provides him rank up in agility and presence concealment whenever it is snowing, which increases if the temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius. This ability also provides the basis of his protection from arrows.

Noble Phantasm
Name: Winter War: Death Comes Shrouded in White: (冬戦争: 死来白に包まれる, Shirai Shironitsutsumareru)
Quote: "Kollaa will hold (Kollaa kestää), unless the orders are to run away." - Lieutenant Aarne Juutilainen
Rank: C++
Type: Reality Marble
Range: All in 50 feet radius
Maximum target: Unlimited (so long they are in range when it's used)
Description: This is the truest manifestation of Simo's Legend, the Battle of Kollaa. A reality marble of snow and blood. When this phantasm's name is uttered, a blizzard bursts out from Simo's body, engulfing everyone within fifty feet as they are dragged into a reality marble. Captured individuals find themselves in a field of snow, surrounded on all sides by trees. Bullets can be heard in all directions.

Simo can concentrate the fire from the various soldiers on either side towards his foes, who will be harassed by lethal bullet fire on all sides while a rain of artillery comes from above. All the while Simo will put putting round after round of rifle fire into them, each shot made with impeccable accuracy as a blizzard seems to be roaming through the forest. This blizzard will become worse the longer the reality marble is active, eventually consuming it completely, rendering most things invisible unless what you are looking at is right next to you, a handicap Simo doesn't share.

Oc's are allowed but I'll be giving them a hard look over before approving any of them.

Ok, waiting for you checking my above char for approval :). I found some fan site where someone had made stats and skills etc for Simo Häyhä (Fate/Genesis). Overall he is hard to spot, hits most likely (and spots folks as well easily and able keep track of them) and is master evading ranged attacks directed at him. But in end, he physically is not strong and unlikely fares long in melee.

WIP, just wanted to get something down for now, going to finish it soon-ish. I figured I'd ask though, there's six different stats but only five were listed in the sheet, what's the plan there? Also worth noting some stuff will be moved around, currently just listed everything as noble phantasms because that's what they were listed as on the wiki, some will be moved over to skills.

Appearance:
Mordred takes the appearance of a fairly young woman, likely around 18 to 23. Wearing her full armor it would be impossible to tell, and to some extent she could be considered androgynous when wearing the armor but not the helm. In modern terms, calling her tomboyish would be a very fair assessment, if she were a regular human she'd likely be the type to play several sports, the type to be considered "one of the boys". While her waist curves nicely in relation to her hips, it becomes less obvious thanks to her modest bust, which again contributes to the air of tomboyishness. Her body on its part presents itself as fit, albeit not overbearing. Nothing close to what anyone would expect necessary to swing her sword like it was a twig anyway.
Moving a bit further north, she has the same rich green eyes as her father, and the same golden blonde locks. Though, that's where the similarities end for the most part, Mordred's hair is best described as wild, with little care for formality or presentability, kept in a messy ponytail for the most part. her expressions similarly present emotion openly, rather than concealing them like any proper nobility would.

Name:
Mordred Pendragon // The knight of treachery

Personality:
Proud and cocky would be one way to describe her. Mordred presents herself as someone fearless and unbeatable, almost as though the world is just her playground, viewing herself as someone worthy of standing at the top when everything else crumbles. Some would describe her attitudes as inspiring, rallying, and that she is someone worth following. Others would consider her demonic, as someone who values human lives about as much as the dirt she stands on, and to some extent both sides are right. She wholeheartedly believes, without a shadow of a doubt, that she was the rightful heir to the throne, and believes she did the right thing rebelling against her father.

Where she used to be chivalrous and proud of her swordsmanship, those views have been reduced to something closer to a means to an end. She uses her weapon, Clarent, for what it is, a tool. The way she sees it, true chivalry is to fight with everything you've got, and that the only honor that comes with fighting is to win. True to her class, she's ready to fight with any tool available, in any means viable. Be that punching, biting, even throwing her sword, a cardinal sin in chivalrous fighting, if that's what it takes. It can easily be told from the way she fights, readily using brute force and the weight of her blade to gain leverage.

In downtime, she presents herself slightly different though. While the air of confidence and cockiness remains ever present, there are more cues to be taken as well. At large, she was robbed of her youth, and finds herself easily drawn towards modern time-sinks, giving more daughterly vibes than anything. She comes across as someone who could have thrived as modern, regular youth, making it feel pitiable that she spent most of her life clawing after a throne never meant for her, manipulated my Morgan Le Faye to play a role in a play. Read tightly enough between the lines, someone close to her would be able to pick up that she doesn't believe the sword of appointment would pick her, and that what she seeks more than anything is to find closure.

History: Mordred originates from Arthurian legend. She was conceived between Artoria and her sister, Morgan Le Fay, through unorthodox circumstances. Through Merlin's magecraft, Artoria was a psuedo-male of sorts, to which Morgan used to extract sperm from her. Born as the child of Morgan, and raised in secret from Artoria and the round table.

Told that it was her right to inherit the throne, Morgan bid her to one day defeat the king of knights and take her place as king. While she did bear the same obsession as her mother, Mordred before anything held admiration for the king. She felt ashamed of her twisted birth, unconsciously acting jealous of normal people. And, with the special innocence that children possess, she worshipped the "perfect king". Her helmet, Secret of Pedigree, was given as a gift from Morgan, being told to never remove it in the presence of others. Morgan recommended she go to Camelot, and through a presentation of her own superb swordsmanship, she became one of the knights of the round table, and gifted her then wielded sword on grounds of her abilities and straightforward mental chivalry.

She protected the way of the knights much like that which could only be found in picture books, working hard daily in being the ideal knight, all while hiding her dislike of others. The innocence was shattered when Morgan revealed the nature of her birth, and how the king didn't know either. Morgan tried to instill that the king would never accept such a filthy child, but Mordred was, while shocked, instilled with joy. Sharing the same blood as the king of knights, she was proud of that fact. She felt that in name, reality, mind and body that she was fit to be the true successor of the king of knights.

She went on without the slightest felings of rebellion, spurred on by the truth, and approached the king with delight. Raised without a father, the king was the very form of a godlike "father" to her, but Artoria rejected her very clearly. She said that, while Mordred is certainly born from her and her sister's plotting, that she would never recognize Mordred as her child, or hand over the throne. Mordred believed it was all due to the king's hatred for Morgan, that it would be impossible for her to be accepted, and that it was because of that that her title was weakest. Her admiration and love for the king up until then made her hatred burn.

Resulting from this, the distrust of the round table towards the king spread, and the reigns of power in camelot were seized once the king departed to Rome. Mordred became the leader of the rebellion, representing the national discontent towards Artoria. It was during this time that Mordred broke into the armory of Camelot, seizing the blade said to represent the royal court, Clarent. Once Artoria returned, Mordred raged, claiming that she hated the king and hat only she was fit for the throne. The truth of the matter was that she only wanted to be recognized by her, and to be acknowledged as her child. The conflict eventually led towards a final fight, the Battle of Camlann, where both armies were dying in a heated battle. The few knights who stayed with Artoria soon died off, leaving only the two of them standing.

The two faced each other on a hill of swords in the middle of a blazing battlefield, where Mordred pointed out that the country had ended and that the victor no longer mattered because everything was gone. Blaming the situation on the King for not giving her the throne, Mordred charged forwards driven by passion, and was eventually defeated in single combat, collapsing while still pierced by the holy spear Rhongomyniad. Freed of the mask forced upon her, and with striking similarity to Artoria, she cried out for her, reaching out for her father's touch with blood-stained hands, but was denied the acknowledgment even in her dying moments. Bound by a strong curse, Mordred still swung her sword after her death, leaving a fatal wound on Artoria who later died of her wounds.

Master:

Class:
Berserker

Alignment:

Height:
154cm

Weight:
42kg

Armament:
Clarent // Helm of Hidden Infidelity

Likes:
Mordred has taken a big liking to the modern age, and a chance to live as youth for a little without constantly having to consider her position. Sports, modern food and drinks, you name it really. Taking from her history, she has a liking for fighting, and an unyielding admiration for Artoria despite her matching hatred.

Dislikes:
Mordred doesn't have great views of people, both envying and despising them. Slightly intelligent beasts that can become either good or bad depending on the situation, and more importantly what they have to gain from either. She hates how humans uphold grudges while also forgetting their debts to others. They'll do good deeds when it's convenient but overlook great evil when it's convenient for them. They act out of selfishness, and if they fail, blame it on someone else. She finds it vexing that people would rally behind her when she only thought of herself clawing for the throne, but finds it similarly vexing that those once loyal to Artoria would stand behind her.

Wish:
Contrary to the easy assumption that she just wishes to claim the throne of England and become king, Mordred is conflicted on her wish. On one end, she wishes that she'd get the chance to challenge the sword of appointment as a method of proving kingship that her father could not deny, despite knowing somewhere within her that there's no chance the sword would let go for her, the closure of knowing that it wouldn't is what she truly seeks.
On the other end, she wishes that Artoria would acknowledge her as her child, citing that while she doesn't regret fighting her, she wishes it didn't have to go that far in the first place.

Stats
Strength: A
Endurance: A
Agility: A+
Mana: C
Luck: B
Noble Phantasm: A

Class abilities:
Name: Mad Enchantment // Blind Rage
Rank: C
Description: Raises basic parameters like strength, endurance and agility at the expense of mana, luck, and noble phantasm. Mordred gives up most sense of reason, reduced to the ability to make simple choices and adamantly refusing commands apart from the use of seals. She's still able to speak, but can for the most part be boiled down to shouting curses. Recklessness is another side effect of using the ability, the willingness to take dumb risks anyone who uses their reason would refuse to do. It is best used against a single target, seeing that the lack of coherent reason means a lack of priorities, leading to just picking whichever target is the most available. Once the effect ends, the user, in this case Mordred, feels significantly strained from the excess use of brute strength, and can struggle to remember where they were or what exactly they were doing.

Skills:
Skills

Name: Battle Continuation
Rank: B
Description: Battle continuation is a skill that allows for the continuation of combat after sustaining mortal wounds. It will also reduce the mortality rate from injury. The ability, for Mordred, stems from dealing the mortal blow to Arthur after being pierced with a holy spear.

Name: Instinct
Rank: B
Description: Instinct us the ability to instantly identify the best personal course of action during combat. Because this skill allows for the prediction of trajectory, it is possible to avoid attacks from firearms. The ability is still active during Mad Enchantment, but to a lesser extent as an innate ability, more so relying on Mordred's inherent drive to win.

Name: Mana Burst
Rank: C
Description: Though an ability normally reserved for the Saber class, Mordred retained its use through Clarent, though to a lesser extent. Mana burst grants the user a burst of strength and speed through infusing their weapon with mana. With Mordred having a lesser version of it, she can only use it for very brief attacks or movement, and finds herself struggling to use it for more than a few seconds at a time without expending too much mana.

Name: Eternal Arms Mastery
Rank: A+
Description: Prevents the degradation of fighting skills when under the effects of a mental hinderance. The body of the user, in this case Mordred, knows its style so well it can move with the same finesse, or lack thereof, even while affected by any sort of mental control or hinderance. Even if usual necessities like rational thinking are hampered, while not able to make as complex decisions their body is still able to move and similarly counter or attack.

Noble Phantasms
Noble Phantasms
Name: Secret of Pedigree - Helm of Hidden Infidelity
Quote: N/A
Rank: C
Type: Anti-unit (Self)
Range: N/A
Maximum target: Self only
Description: A helm given by Morgan Le Fay with the instructions not to remove it to keep her identity and lineage a secret. When worn, it hides her parameters as a servant, revealing only her class as berserker and the berserker's base stats, even to her own master. Her true name, noble phantasms, and any innate skills are completely hidden. Even those who would recognize her by her weapon or armor would find themselves struggling to figure it out, their mind clouded by the innate magic of the helmet. The only exception to its power would be those intimately familiar with her, more specifically Clarent, who'd be able to tell thanks to the weapon. However, it is still reduced to making educated guesses, given she wasn't the exclusive wielder of the sword.
The effect extends to when no armor is worn. Where someone with the necessary skills to identify a servant would still be able to figure out that she is a servant, no more information is revealed than what would be available when she wears the armor and helm. Similarly, even if she looks recognizable to someone, their mind would be too clouded to identify. The effect wears off should she equip her armor or her weapon.

Name: Clarent: Radiant and Brilliant Royal Sword | Mana Burst
Quote: N/A
Rank: C
Type: Anti-Unit
Range: 1
Maximum target: 1
Description: Mordred's sword, originally stowed away in the armory of Camelot but stolen by Mordred upon temporarily claiming the throne while Arthur was chasing after the traitorous Lancelot. While normally a B-rank relic, its rank was reduced to C with Mordred taking the sword with no legitimate claim to the throne. The sword is described as "more dazzling than any silver", it is an ornate silver sword adorned with splendid decorations, acting as a symbol of kingship denoting the right of succession of the throne. Despite not having any rights to the blade, she is able to utilize the innate ability, usually reserved to the saber class, Mana Burst.
Through utilizing Mana Burst, through expending her own mana and the innate mana of the blade, the wielder can move with significantly increased speed and strength. With the blade being of a lower class of its "competitor", that being Excalibur, Mordred can't utilize the ability for as long as someone of the Saber class, or Arthuria herself, but she can use it in short bursts.

Name: Clarent Blood Arthur: Rebellion against by beautiful father
Quote:
Rank: A+
Type: Anti-Unit
Range: 1
Maximum target: 1
Description: The full-power, released form of Clarent when wielded by Mordred. A transformation to an evil sword of hatred upon the condition of her holding it. It is not in the proper nature of the sword, but rather an effect of Mordred stealing the sword and using it to deal a fatal blow to her father. It is an application of Mana Burst that allows her to force her excessive hatred for her father into the sword in the form of magical energy, amplifying the power of the blade and changing its form. Where Clarent normally holds an appearance to be associated with royalty and good, its altered form changes its appearance to something more akin to what a villain would wield. The blade is engulfed with violent, deep red lightning, can then be used to launch a single, tall pylon of lightning, destroying everything in its path.
A condition for utilizing the noble phantasm is to remove her helmet, revealing her identity. She'd explain it as the one piece of chivalry she believes in, that whoever demands that much power to be taken down deserves to know who did it. Should she resolve her discord towards her father, even one-sidedly, she can still make use of the attack due to the sword's history.

The Noble Phantasm normally manifests itself as an anti-army attack when summoned as a saber, however given she was summoned as a berserker instead, it took the form of a anti-unit attack, taking from the last moments of her fight with Artoria instead, seeing that's when she was at her most desperate, or the most frenzied. Where its form as a saber is most reminiscent of Artoria's Excalibur, as a Berserker it's best categorized as a massive amplification to a single attack, accompanied with a burst of speed as the mana from the blade becomes enough to pull the wielder along.

Awsome! feel free to do it and add onto as you please, but I think thats enough to have the berserker slot permanently slotted to you. If I forgot a stat by all means add it, and if you want to you can go by the characters official stats for now too in terms of their grade.

There we go, think I got most of it figured out!
And what I meant was that there was a missing stat for distribution, the sheet has six skills while the bit at the top only lists five. Maybe add an S, or allow for a duplicate of one of them?

Go ahead and give her whatever Mordred has in the official canon

The only canon stats are saber-class stats, but I'll see what I can do redistributing those to where they'd be most reasonable for a berserker class ^^

Abilities: Can create and control puppets, can create convincing illusions within 20m of himself spontaneously, and has a strong grasp of ritual magic for divination, healing, and/or traps.

History: Brian was born a bastard. His mother was a normal human, and his father was a sorcerer. He was forever his father's afterthought, despite his aptitude for magic and bare ambition. In school, he was isolated by his peers and never joined the 'in' crowd. He wasn't bullied, but he wasn't noticed either. He earned high grades, applied himself to extracurricular sports, and at night he would copy his older brother's study material and teach himself what his brother was learning at their father's feet. Near to graduation from high school, he discovered among his father's notes plans to support another mage in the upcoming Holy Grail War. He was caught looking through the documents, but his father didn't believe he could do anything with them - instead, he took away his bastard son's study materials, and disowned him. Brian had what he needed, however, and a year later he found himself tutoring part-time in Japan while preparing to join the Holy Grail War, and supplant his father's plans to participate.

Wish: To become the most powerful magic user.
