QuoteThe events of Escape from Tarkov take place in the fictional Norvinsk region Special Economic Zone that became a gateway between Russia and Europe. Preferential conditions for large international companies, however, have not only attracted law-abiding businesses, but corporations of dubious intent as well. In Tarkov, one of the largest cities of the region, a transatlantic corporation became the ground zero of a political scandal. Six months later, the political standoff escalated into an armed conflict involving UN peacekeepers, Internal Troops of Ministry of Internal Affairs, and two private military companies. The region's borders were sealed off, and those trapped in the middle of flaring up local warfare were isolated from the outside world.

Welcome to Tarkov, soldier. Well, we're not really soldiers anymore.. but old habits die hard. You were a private military contractor of one of two factions; United Security (USEC) or Battle Encounter Assault Regiment (BEAR), but really, who believes in that anymore? The contract wars are over and now you're here, in Tarkov, stranded and alone. USEC kills USEC, BEAR kills BEAR, but most of all, BEAR kills USEC and vice versa. It's a lawless wasteland here and it's up to people like us to change that. Or not, that depends entirely on you and your actions. After all, living in Tarkov is hard, and you may need to do things that you normally wouldn't even consider just to get by. But uhh.. just a reminder. No matter whose side you're on, you still need to watch out for scavs. And don't even get me started on the raiders...

QuoteAmidst the chaos and lawlessness, scarcity of vital provisions and territories, the first to lift up their heads are shady characters, unembarrassed by excessive moral or ethical restraints or quick to lose them under influence of conditions. They gather into packs, living by dog-eat-dog rules, cutting each other throats over a better piece. This is how yesterday's civilians become Scavs.

Hello, and thank you for taking a look at my thread. I've been inspired by playing EFT lately, and tinkering with my guns that I'll never use. For those not in the know (and I assume there will be a fair bit of them), EFT is a videogame that resembles STALKER, but more modern and with a focus on shoot'n'loot gameplay a la Day-Z. Still not ringing a bell? No problem. The setting is not complicated at all as can be read above; the roleplay will take place in the city of Tarkov, a city in the special economical zone in Russia. Because of events that have unfolded prior to the start of the game, the city has been abandoned, quarantined and is now a lawless zone where one must scavenge, kill and work with the few reliable people around to survive.

There are four main factions; the BEARs, Russian private military contractors that work against USEC, the USEC, which are private military contractors from the western world, the scavs, which are local civilians turned bandit, and the raiders -- shady military contractors that settled their differences and began working together to secure their own pieces of Tarkov, often holding key locations. But it's important to remember that this doesn't mean a whole lot -- in Tarkov, it's every man or woman for themselves. BEARs fight BEARs if they need to, and USEC will shoot other USEC if it means they get to eat tonight. And the scavs are the worst of all -- they cannibalize eachother like their life depends on it. Well, maybe it does.

Essentially, Tarkov is a highly localized post-apocalypse scenario. And we're in the middle of it.

There are several ways I can see this roleplay taking place, and all of them have different focuses.

Idea 1: Brother and Sister in Arms
Name: Brother and Sister in Arms
Themes: Camaraderie, survival, gunplay, dialogue.
Kinks: Consensual, passion, anything that fits the bill.

Summary: Two PMC's have partnered up in an attempt to make their survival easier. After all, you don't have eyes in your back, so having someone around to check your six is important, especially when someone can sneak up on you and gun you down at a moments notice. But would these two have expected for such a friendship to blossom in the middle of a warzone? Would they have expected that things went deeper than just having someone around to watch your back and cover you? Will this complicate things? Probably, yes.

Idea 2: BEAR eats EAGLE
Name: BEAR eats EAGLE or EAGLE eats BEAR
Themes: Capture, enemies, interrogation/torture
Kinks: Non/dub-con, darker kinks.

Summary: You had it all figured out. You put on your best armor, your nice helmet, filled your magazines with your best ammo that you spent a few hundred thousand rubles on, and slapped the biggest, baddest attachments you could find onto your favorite gun. It was time to kill some fuckers and steal their loot. Except when you went in, you only got a few shots off before you were hit in the head and everything went black. Oops. Turns out wearing bulletproof anything doesn't mean it doesn't still hurt like a bitch. Now you're caught by the enemy, and they have plans for you.
Notes: I'm open to either part of the roles. I'm also open to this turning long term with all the typical 'kidnapping' elements like Stockholm syndrome, switching sides, etcetera coming into play.

Bumping this to see if there's any interest, after that probably closing this off.
