I was using my phone this morning to access the site and I kept trying to close the shoutbox. Instead, my fingertip kept hitting the 'send activation email' topic. It was a mistake. I wanted to make sure I won't get into trouble.

Shouldn't be an issue.  But please check to make sure that the email didn't end up in your spam folder.  If it did, just mark it as 'not spam'.
