Any GMs for a Star Wars SAGA or Warhammer 2nd Ed. Game?

Although I could chair a game of this type, at present, I'd much rather be a player in such a game.  Anyone prospectively interested in doing a game in either of these?  On that note, any fans interested in playing these?

For Star Wars, I'm mostly interested in something set in either The Rebellion Era or The Old Republic.

For Warhammer, I'd like to move onward in the wake of the Storm of Chaos, as detailed in the WFRP sourcebook, rather than advancing along the End Times timeline.

PixelatedPixie

I'd be interested in a Saga Star War games as a player.

I could do Saga edition or Warhammer, actually. As a player, though. I'm pretty much burnt out on running

I would very much love another chance to play star wars saga.

I can't offer to start one now because I've done so just recently.  i'll give people a wave when I can start one again.

I believe the war hammer fantasy I know is second edition.  I'd enjoy a chance to play that, too, but people would probably be unsatisfied with my grasp of the lore.  (I used to try running Dark Heresy for my tabletop group.  After a few hours of listening to people fan boy over space marine primarchs every session, i have started giving up.)

I am always game for some Saga Edition.

I could very happily play one, or I could run one... something sort of serious based in the Extended Universe rather than the new Disney canon, and set about 2 years after the destruction of the Second Deathstar.

But like I said, wide open to playing as well.

Ooh!   You've never run that for me, Tagan!  That would be so totally awesome!

(Will it help if i repay you in kind?)

I'm down for either Old Republic or post Death Star 2 and I'd also prefer either Extended Universe or Old Republic.

What about something in the Star Wars Legacy era?

I'm also interested in this. Preferably as a player but I have run SAGA in the past so I'm familiar with the system and could (Co-) GM if needed :)

My personal preference would be Old Republic since the Rebellion and post-Endor eras are already full of established Lore and characters but I'm open to a Rebellion era game.

How about we make a deal, then, JFD?

Two games, each of us runs one and is included in the players, with the option to call upon the other for support?

If were comfortable with group size we can inivte everyone in this thread to both.  if not, we'll divide it?

If you go for the two games, perhaps do one for “everyone is the crew of a small roaming ship” and one for “military/paramilitary group with starfighter pilots,” since it’s hard to mix the two?

Bookmarked. I have a mighty mando itch again now with the new series out.  ::)

I have never played Saga though so if those that thus far have shown some interest in GMing would be willing to allow beginners that would be neato.  ;D

This has potential :) However, if you actually want to DM (as opposed to doing it because nobody else is), I'll be happy to let you as I would prefer to be involved as a player.

I'll be happy to assist you any way I can, though, and we can split if the group becomes too big to manage

Muse

no.  :) I'd far rather be a player.  I usually only get to GM.

In situations like this, i find this is the best way to give us both a chance to play.

Alright then :)

I need to see what I can come up with before I commit but I think I can run an Old Republic campaign. I have a few ideas.

I'll post a thread when I'm ready.

Muse

  Requests from the players, then!

Should i come up with another Old Republic game?  Or with a Legacy Era game?

What level would people like to start at?

Well, maybe Legacy would be a good one to go for now that an Old Republic idea is up.

I'm ammendable to a level 3 or 4 start, but really, I just want a game, so any start is good in my book! ;D

My default would be to run a game in NC ES--I have a big board there for Star Wars--and too occasionally tie non consensual sex encounters in the story, for those who enjoyed them.  Those who don't are exempt, of course, though they may witness the aftermath.

Note, these would not dominate the story, and would usually further the plot.

  Is anyone uncomfortable with that?

Captain Whitebread

I'm beginning to think it's me.  Every time I get into a Star Wars game it collapses before it gets going.  If one (or two) get started from this, I'd be interested as well.....

Jayna

I would potentially be interested in joining as a player if room is still available.

I have had my fair share fall through (both my fault and not.). So one that actually got going would be nice!

Muse

Cap, Jayna, can you adress my question?

Captain Whitebread

No problem

I rarely play characters that get off on NC but I have no issues with it.
