Hello,
Need some help regarding making a gif work as an avatar. I've inputting the link for the avatar, and the message says profile updated successfully, but doesn't show the image.

It's a neat looping fractal pattern I found on giphy. It's safe for work, if posting the link would help? It's likely I'm totaling not doing something correct, but I don't know what.  ???

Lovely Complex

Have you saved it on your computer as a download? If you have, the image might be too big and you’ll have to resize it to 150x200.

If you need any further help, I’ll be more than happy to assist you. ^^

Have you tried uploading it to the E-Wiki? That usually helped me when I had animated avis.

Mirrah

Nico and Lovely Complex are both correct.

Try this:

1. Make sure it's the correct size (200 pixels tall by 150 pixels wide, maximum). There may be a file size restriction as well, but it think you should be okay.
2. Upload to the wiki - let me know if you need help with this.
3. Direct link the image (removing the 's' in the "https" of the link) from the wiki.

If you follow these steps and the avatar still won't load, please post about that here and we'll get it sorted out.

If it said it updated correctly, it's not the actual size of the image- that will give you a 'too large or not an avatar' error in red. Could be file size, not sure. As suggested, try hosting it locally here
If one thinks of omniscience as causal rather than predictive- not 'THIS!', but 'If this, then that; infinite matrices of infinite dimensions each- it goes a long way towards reconciliation with Free Will.

It does not, however, make it easier to contemplate or accept a being capable of visualizing such an array.

Exotik, if you'd like to send me the link, i'd love to see what I could do to help. I'm pretty good at fumbling around with images and getting them to work (sometimes) :)
