Hey folks!  With my free time theoretically kicking back up for a while, I am putting myself out for who would be interested in a Mage the Ascension game run through the Powered By The Dark ruleset.  If you've never heard of either:

Mage is a game of Reality Deviance, where the bold and the visionary and the wise have the power to change themselves and the world in defiance of how the rest of the world is quite sure it has to be.  Magic is powered by belief, insight, and the will to see things other than as everyone else sees them; there are as many ways to make magic as there are mages, running from ancient Hermetic practice with it's roots in Greek and Roman traditions, to vision-trances and communion with the many-fold spirits of the world, to extreme extrapolations from modern physics relying on barely-undertstood laws of the natural world, to aligning oneself and one's actions with the Kharmic Wheel or the immanent flow of the cosmos to achieve beyond oneself, to any meaningful mystic or spiritual tradition (yes, including those that don't per se believe in the soul as it's commonly understood).

Powered by the Dark is a free hack of the game using the Powered By The Apocalypse system made famous by Vincent Baker and his team, and as also seen in Dungeon World and Monsterhearts.  The core of a PbtA game is the choice to make a Move - one of several hard-mechanics options in the game, such as have an epiphany, hang tough, make something useful, fuck someone up, and of course everyone's favorite, use vulgar magic in front of Sleepers. Dice are only handled by players, who make a simple 2d6+modifier roll when they want to make a solid change in the game setting; success can come at a cost, but even failure teaches you something about yourself and the world.

The proposed crisis?  Everyone is trapped in a city that is being wiped off the map, and none of the Sleepers in the city seem aware of what's about to befall them and everything they know.  Is this the result of powerful magic?  The world of Marauders?  A Paradox explosion gone horribly, horribly wrong?  You don't know (yet) and finding out may be less important than saving your own skins... Or, it might be the only way to actually escape.

Interested, and want to know more?  The PDF is a free fanwork and can be found at https://www.patreon.com/file?h=19652185&i=2337363 .  Out a stake down if you have interest in trying this out.
