We are most definitely still recruiting. The game itself is a slower moving one and we're always looking for good folks.

I at least want to tweak a female character I already have to fit if that is permitted. However, am I allowed two characters if I make a male, or is it preferred that I write one character first, and wait for a tick?

I'm perfectly fine with either option, of course!

Tweaking a character you already have to fit the setting is fine...I think most of us recycle characters on E and those of us who have been with this game through a few different incarnations have certainly tweaked out own characters a time or two!

If you're comfortable running two characters I don't think that would be a problem. Many of us started with two.

On e a more semi serious note, is there any particular character type, house, etc the game is missing for plot purposes?

We are accepting rolls of any type, nobles tend to be easier to make connections with.

When it comes to regions we have quite a few Ironborn. But my bias says we can never have enough 

We are lacking in members of the Small Council and figures of high rank in religions such as High Septon and Red Priests.

There are houses who's members have the potential to be nominated in the great council, such as house Velaryon and house plumm that are not claimed yet.

There is also currently a mini event a party to celebrate the now finished tournament that anyone can attend.
