Hello and thank you for stopping by this thread dedicated to seeking rpers from all walks of life!

My name is Wicked Vixen! I do enjoy me a good story! And what we have here folks is the POTENTIAL for a GREAT story! All I need is YOU!

I am looking for a group of people to fill up a cast of young adults, (Anywhere between the ages of 18-29 I don't want anyone TOO much older than the youngest character because I want our characters to not have life all figured out. Don't worry I know full well that we can be 66 and not have life figured out but you know what I mean.) who gain various different powers and have to solve the how's and why's that will naturally come about. These powers will suddenly develop in a small group of people in the small(ish) city/town of Gravewell.

Anyways in our city this outbreak of powers happens to our cast and a few baddies for us to encounter. We will all start out with beginner level powers. That means if you have the ability to move stuff with your mind (Telekinesis) then you can lift a pebble or a rock, maybe even a rather sizable book. At first. I want our characters and their powers to progress gradually. Also I want there to be a downside or a draw back for over using your powers or trying something you just can't do. I will have a sheet up soon to give an example of what I am looking for. But trust me with time your character would be able to do stuff like this! I want rich kids, poor kids, jocks, nerds, people in between, college people, high school people, people who had a shitty nothing going for them life until this bad ass event gave them purpose. You can be anyone! The son or daughter of the police chief, the mayor or hell the kid of someone famous! (like small town/city famous, like a news anchor's kid or something you know?) The son/daughter of the medical examiner or teacher or whatever! The choice is yours!

You get the idea. Your powers will be BADASS by the time we really get into the meat of our story. Now these examples are for 1 power feel free to create a character however you'd like! As long as it is not too OP then I should say I will likely approve it!

Now to give you more insight to the story I will try my best to tell you as much as I can without giving TOO much away! I want y'all to be surprised!

Our characters will one day start to develop abilities/powers. A loud, piercing screech will be heard by select people throughout the town. This noise will be so loud we will bleed through our nose, ears and even your eyes! (Wooo yeah scary) This sound will knock us out and when we wake up we all find out that only a small group of people (Just us for now at least that is what we will think) heard and no one else did. There is no evidence at all that some sound came from any source especially since we will all be in different places with nothing about us that connects us all nice and neat except that we all passed out at the same time by that deafening screeching sound. When we recover we start to see that whatever happened to us that day we have been forever changed! Our group will eventually find out about each other (friends will no doubt tell their friends right away or maybe not that is up to you!) and we will come to the conclusion that we will stick our noses in places we shouldn't! Like our bad guy someone who is able to steal stuff that should be impossible to steal or our bad guy who kills people without even touching them or another one that gets captured but seems to be able to slip away no matter how many times he is caught.

Our characters will not be going public with their powers for fear of being tested on or experimented on. (I'm ok with our group debating it but we will come to the conclusion that we can use them but we can't do it in public and that we will keep it secret) Eventually all these strange bad guys will bring in our secondary adversary. And these people will mean BUSINESS. But that is for another time. So what do you say! Are you with me? Can you help me create an open world of staggering proportions? Can we create a game so amazebawls that all of Elliquiy will be jelly like jellyfishes because they didn't have the great ideas we have? I am going to give each cast member a chance to shine or be the star, we shall rotate and sometimes there will be multiple stuff going on. Shit is gonna get cray cray trust me! So you wanna be a hero?

Interest is peaked, and here’s my power idea. I want to eventually become a boogeyman, a creature that knows your worst fears, and can turn into the most horrid monsters, and shape the perception of others to see only Nightmares. My character would be a pacifist who fights as little as possible, preferably ending all conflict nonviolently. His method of disarming would be fear and intimidation, though. How would this guy start off as newb, though? That’s the question.

General Appearance:  Akiko stands at 5'2 with a slim but strong build, jet black hair and dark brown eyes like melted chocolate. Akiko while petite is still proud to carry large C-cup breasts that seem a bit bigger due to her small frame and while she may never have more than a handful in terms of her booty, she is very proud of her figure and takes great care of her body despite her desire to experience as many thrills as possible.

〚Personal Information〛

Notable Features: Usually seen with signature dark eyeliner & eyeshadow, while not a natural feature it is one she is known for. Has a sizable chest despite being petite. Has a tattoo.

Personality Traits: .

Brave: Akiko never lets her fear get the best of her. She has learned how to calm her mind and keep her nerves from being too rattled during stressful situations. Akiko never backs down, or runs away. It is both a good thing and a bad thing making her seem stubborn.

Loyal: Family and friends are very important to Akiko and had been something pounded into her head since she was young. It was a lesson drilled into her and her sisters, family matters above all....and what are friends but an extension of family. Blood matters not in terms of family, a friend can become closer than any sibling if the person's heart is true. Friends are family. Stand up for them, take care of them, love them, cherish them, and they will give you the world. Brotherhood/Sisterhood, camaraderie sometimes these bonds when strong enough can hold tighter than any vice. Both for good and bad. 

Adventurous: Akiko loves to take risks, take on new challenges or dares, willing to enjoy life to the max regardless of mistakes that might be made. Akiko has is a very fun-loving creature and she is determined to fully embrace all life has to offer especially if it is something she has never experienced before. Excitement is the spice of life.

Mercurial: Akiko can sometimes be seen as flighty or fickle due to the nature of how her moods can/will flow from one to the other depending on the situation she is in. She isn't crazy she just gets over stuff very quickly...usually. It is possible for Akiko to have an argument with someone (loud even), have them hash it out back and forth for a long time only for it to end and 5 minutes later she is over it and her and the person she was fighting with have a new clean slate (in her mind), this does not always go well with people who are either still upset, don't understand her mind set, or are unwilling to let things go. But life is too short for Akiko to want to stay mad or sad and it takes something truly bad to cause her to be unhappy for more than a day or two.

Shameless flirt: Akiko likes attention and loves flattery (thus being very susceptible to it). If you have a silver tongue it stands to reason Akiko will enjoy the company (hopefully in more ways than one) you provide. She loves to flirt, she enjoys the back and forth, the little dance of words. She enjoys it with people that are both experienced at it and those that are of the shyer persuasion. The former is a fun game of cat and mouse that who knows ends up which is which. The latter is fun as she enjoys to pulling people out of their bubble and exploring their innermost hungers, or the sweet blush of someone she has to handle with care and tenderness to help them blossom. All in all good looking guys and girls they are a weakness.


Brief History:

Akiko grew up into a tough but loving environment. Her mother died giving birth to her and while it was tough on her father he was determined to raise her to the best of his ability and was going to cherish this treasure his wife had left behind for him. Being a single father was far from easy. So like most things in life he figured such things could be best dealt with discipline, a good work ethic and strong character. And that is what he set out to do. No matter how tired he was he always made sure that his little girl knew she were the sole purpose of his life. She was his world.  He did his best to provide his daughter with a happy and healthy home.

He taught her at a young age to be independent. He made her do chores and taught her the value of hard work. He showed her how to care for a home so that when she grew older she would be able to care for herself without depending on anyone. He always told her to make it on her own and while they should never be afraid to ask for help when they needed it that they should never "depend on a man." He taught her to be a leader and not follower. He was a loving father and wanted the best for his little girl. At a young age he enlisted her in martial arts after showing her his idolization of Bruce Lee through various films, something she shared with once she saw them. For a time she was happy. She had a wonderful father and that was all she needed. And then he died in a hit and run when she was 12. Her world crumbled and Akiko was forced to live in an orphanage until she turned 18 where she would have to find somewhere to live. If she remained a student it would be possible for her to ask for an extension until she graduated or apply for help to maintain an apartment.

It was hard for her. She was too old for anyone to want her and far too young to not want to be a part of a family once more. Even if it was small to begin with Akiko never felt more alone. She was reluctant to grow close to any one. She got into fights and arguments, she ran away several times and generally lashed out at the world that had grown so cold around her. In her eyes she was alone in the world. For a long time her behavior was far from pleasant. It wasn't until one day the head of her orphanage sat her down and really had a talk with her. She told Akiko that this is not at all how her father would have wanted her to go on. She talked to Akiko and really made her think about what her father would have wanted from her and how she could honor him.

So taking this to heart when she entered middle school again after that summer Akiko tried to start fresh. At first kids were cruel. But then one day during middle school she started to see how charm and her looks could get her a few things but was careful to never hurt someone with false promises and words, she learned how to talk to boys until a chance encounter with a girl from another school taught her the bliss that could be found with a female (Nothing sexual). She worked hard to get good grades as her father said "A's better stay A's and B's better get to A's." Study, study, study or no play time. It was the only thing that really really motivated Akiko to do well in school because if they did well in school her father would have been proud. SO when she saw a good grade on her report card she knew how happy he would have been and for now that was enough for her. By the time high school came around Akiko had her circle of friends and while she wasn't top of her class she was still a good student. When she turned 16 she got a job at the local Cinema and began saving up money for college and for the day she would have to leave the Orphanage. Having just turned 18 she is unsure of if/when she has to leave. 

Superpowers

Superhuman Condition: Akiko possesses superhuman levels of physical condition, which grants her a number of different abilities.

Superhuman Strength: Akiko possesses a superhumanly dense musculature, which grants her great strength. Mastery will grant her the ability to be strong enough to rip the doors off of cars, dent steel after punching it, limit might be 11,000 lbs.

Superhuman Durability: Thanks to her superhumanly dense muscles and skin, Akiko possesses a high level of durability. Mastery will grant her the ability to withstand a barrage of handgun bullets and other extreme forces without getting hurt, but it will still be able to cause her a degree of pain.

Superhuman Reflexes: Her reflexes will be fast enough to catch projectiles mid-air. This will be the first power that she notices.

Skills

Skilled Combatant:  Akiko had been studying martial arts since she was a young girl. She is naturally adept in physical combat without the need of her enhanced physicality. She has studied Karate, Muay Thai, and most recently started following the teachings of Jeet Kune Do.

Distraction/Misdirection: Akiko knows how to keep all eyes on her, she enjoys being the distraction and she doesn't always use her looks.

Athletic: Akiko exercises regularly, and likes to play a wide variety of sports, she is very athletic. Basketball, Volleyball and Soccer are her favorite sports.

Flaws and Weaknesses

Flaws:

Thrill Seeker: Akiko is a bit of a thrill seeker. She is not above doing something crazy just for fun or when she is being the "distraction." In fact when she hears the word distraction from her team leader she will grin and say "Distraction? Well..why didn't you just say so?" and promptly go out and be the best dang distraction she can be. When they see that grin on her face some people groan and say it's never a good thing. Her thrill seeking nature can sometimes put her in a tight situation. 

Weaknesses:

Allergy: When in contact with cinoxate, her powers fail. Cinoxate can be found in sunscreens and sometimes lip balm or lipstick.

Fuel: The use of her powers takes up a massive amount of calories. If she does not store up on caloric energy her powers will not be as effective. Training will lower how much caloric energy she uses to perform feats of strength. Pushing herself too much without having the necessary amount of caloric energy can cause her to blackout. If she keeps taxing her body in this way she will eventually die.

Likes: Partying, Sports, Compliments, Wit and Charm, Music, Hiking/Being outdoors, adventures/challenges, puzzles, bets/dares, cooking and drinking.

Dislikes: Hates seafood, dislikes bullies/arrogant people, dislikes being told what to do, dislikes cruelty

Hmmm I could see this working if you allow your opponent the ability to try and fight off these nightmares they see or to limit it to a certain number of people. Meaning if someone has a strong enough will or strength of character they might feel the fear and intimidation but they do not allow it to overwhelm them. With mastery your opponents would be a lot more hard pressed to do so unless you are distracted or something depending on how you intend to make his powers work. For him being a beginner I think making people uneasy, unsure or uncomfortable would be a good start. Something like doubt or unease would be fine for starters.

I have a idea,  Mary Jane,  a throwback hippy girl.  Her powers are ability to shift others moods and perhaps a psychedelic mind attack.   However, she has to be stoned with being high on cannabis.  Likely I will also have her as in 12th grade as a senior.   Part of the stoner crowd.
