Anyone interested I'm looking to run a Crime Buster Organization [100 Point plus Automatic Sponsor] set in 1980 using the core book and parts of Mystic China as in the martial arts and some other elements (NO Demons or Chi Magicians etc) if anyone is interested.

Your enemy will be Dr. Fu Manchu and his organization the Red Dragon Society and his criminals and terrorists.

I would like a nice selection maybe four players Agents, Martial Artists and others.

Post your interest here and some idea of the character you would like to play.

Me me me! Ohhh I'm having junior high flashbacks!

I'm thinking maybe a thief character, a bad ass mama from the streets.

I might need a bit more info to be 100% sure of my interest but I wouldn't mind playing a classic martial arts detective sort of character.

I saw the words Ninja and Spy and now I'm interested. Is this based on the tabletop game and is it a system game? I don't really know the system well and I've never played a system game on a pbp before.

But if I could be a Hong Kong action type spy with a bunch of super cool gadgets and weapons I'd be down. I want to be the female version of Ethan Hunt - ♪ inserts Mission Impossible music here ♪ -

Palladium RPG of the same name so a system game, Palladium is common enough so the rules are known just well this one has martials arts heavy rules.

I'd like four people at most with martial arts in there several o.c.c. have them naturally the Martial Artists. I do though the rules are a bit messy for example two could as two martial arts styles in the core book so limits those to certain o.c.c. options. It notes for these you can earn other martial arts to and you can't.

That said you must work in the type of organization which isn't going to have unlimited options if you have an energy pistol toting person with a cool upgraded car you might have to find the money after the game starts to fund this stuff, the basic organization is still more a bit above a typical city police department in options its a bit more generous.

There are options though in both books even if I'm not allowing Chi Magicians you shouldn't be disappointed.

Don't expect this to me PC, I'm big on classic trope stereotypes Dr. Fu Manchu has a cadre of woman agents all hot and happen to be deadly led by his daughter. Men are men, women and women, okay gay stuff is there especially most women are bisexual since its hot and good for male ratings numbers.

Martial arts detective well there is a detective and a wandering free agent (I recommend it has ample skill packages and knows a martial art and could spin into a detective kind of character easy).

I'm almost tempted to give Palladium another go >:)!

Hmm...if I decide to try, there's no magic and demons, so no wandering exorcist. But a former kung-fu private detective a scholar versed in the martial arts, or a Wandering swordsman who believes he was born 300 years too late...and who happen to work for this organzation :P?

Well no serious magic, there is Chi and some powers in the core rules so you can Chi astral project with the right one however this is as mystical as we will go the core book borderline powers and cybernetics in the book and if you can get a energy weapon you can use it.

That said I will note the group your going into is the Asian version of the Kingsmen and Statesmen - The Great Dragon Society. Its more martial arts focused and less techy not saying the tech isn't good after all its Asia in the 1980's so Japan and the rising New China is a thing and they love technology so cybernetics and such. But they favor skills most of the members are Martial Artists or Free Agents or Mercenaries with technology focuses less prevalent but becoming more established. And custom vehicles will be a part of it not big the jets and such are company owned. But an armored Japanese sports car with built in gimmicks flown in with you ... so your good to go there.

It will be largely regional however dealing with regional threats especially the Cult of Fu Manchu a major thorn in the side of the GDS across Asia.

Okay folks I'll be setting up a character sheet page next week and start threads for this if we have enough players need an interest check I'M IN message and what O.C.C. you wish to play well if your attributes allow them. Characters get one standard roll per Attribute then roll one at 5d6 dropping the lowest two dice as a swap out for ONE Attribute of your choice. I'm so generous. Re-roll 1's for all rolls, Hit Points and S.D.C. included during character creation.

I'm allowing Free Agents, Mercenaries (Cyborg builds only get the core rules so are lower key ones but still can be tough if done well), Martial Artists (save the Demon Hunter there are none but adds Mystic China option), Antiquarian (some mystical bits are around and if we keep it low key will be fine) and the Capitalist Entrepreneur (*this is a maybe for the non-combat ones but if you build them to fight okay one might be fine in the group).

Languages please learn English if one doesn't know it as a native language.  :P

I'll need two players, three would be ideal.

RubySlippers

Oh for die rolls I want them posted to me individually and in order for your attributes with the swap out to keep things simple so like this:
P.S.
copy and post the roll
Number for the score.

Do that for each one and the extra die roll and note what you swapped out.

I don't need the other rolls I trust you to though roll them with noting what its for on the dice roller. Hit points give yourself the maximum of 6 at 1st level.

One (sword-wielding) operative of said agency is pretty much ready, I believe:P.
