I know you said you're still taking players . . . I've got a party-girl version of Sarasvati I'd like to try out. She'd have gotten tired of just hanging out with Brahma all the time and decided to throw herself into mortal life with a vengeance. Sometimes DJs, sometimes performs live, always down for a good time.

That sounds like it would be a great character.

I can tell you I am playing a Haitian Voodoo god and having a great time of it.  This game is being played out in New Orleans, which makes that pantheon kinda extra fun, IMO.

This is a fantastic group and we've just gotten started. New characters would have an easy time arriving.

I would just make a character sheet and talk to the GM.  What's the worst she could do?  Say no?

I wouldn't necessarily let that stop you. The GM is keeping balance on things, but there could be angles to this.  As in, if she had a different mode now that she is retired, different than Aphrodite, perhaps.  Or bring focus on slightly different parts of her. 

The want to play is more important. Creative crafting details may take some smithing, but can be done.
