So I've been having this story idea bouncing around in my head, inspired by stories like the yuri comic "Beauty and the Beast Girl", which is about a monster woman who encounters and falls for a blind girl. Obviously, I don't want to copy that story note for note (and I actually haven't caught up to it yet, there's not much out but I wanted to pace myself out, especially since the latest chapter isn't translated yet as far as I know), but I really love the premise, and figured I'd check out here to see if anyone would be interested in attempting their own spin on it with me.

Fair warning, I am really not great at formatting posts like this, lol. So, forgive me for the long wall of text here.

I'm looking to write a story more focused on romance, on the characters and their relationships and the drama and conflict that unfolds about them, rather than on sex. Of course, that by NO MEANS I intend for this rp to be all chaste and pure or anything. The characters presumably have needs and urges like most anyone, and I wouldn't shy away from that. My point, rather, is that I want a story where the story comes first, and sex occurs organically. Basically, to put it in the simplest terms, I'm not looking for a story that contrives reasons for the characters to wind up in engaged in sexy antics or anything, but at the same time, if it seems like what the characters would do, then, ya know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, to start with, I'm looking for a partner willing to engage in some mutual worldbuilding. Doesn't need to be super extensive, I imagine there's some things we can certainly make up as we go along (as long as we try to remain internally consistent), but I'm honestly open to a lot of suggestions in terms of the setting. My thoughts going in are that it will be a fantasy world of some kind, presumably Western medieval fantasy, but I would be open to other ideas, such as a setting inspired by more East Asian culture and folklore. I have some thoughts on a medieval fantasy setting I'll share towards the end, but I'm less attached to the setting than to the core concept.

I should also specify that I'm ideally looking for a long term writing partner, or at least someone who is open to the possibility of such. I'm willing to play it by ear at first and see where it goes, but ideally I'd like this to be more of a long term story.

In regards to the sexual content, yes, it's not the focus, but we'll probably want to establish what we're looking to explore with this game all the same, and in that regard I'm honestly pretty open to suggestion. I have a few ideas that I'll list at the bottom, but keep in mind that they're just suggestions, so if you don't like something, don't worry about it.

As for the monster herself, I have ideas regarding her, and I'm willing to workshop them with a potential partner, but the general gist is that she will be largely human looking, but with distinctive monstrous traits. The exact details really depend on what setting is ultimately used, but I imagine her likely being tall, even for a man (perhaps like 7-8'), with well defined muscles (I tend to give my ladies abs, lol), and then features like horns, scales or fur, inhuman eyes, a tail, wings, claws, fangs or razor sharp teeth, etc. I think my leading image for her at the moment is as a half-dragon, largely human looking, scales on both legs and one or both arms, with claws on her scaled limbs, sharp teeth, a scaled tail, either one vestigial wing or two functional ones, and some number of horns on her head, with reptilian eyes, and some pattern of scales on her face. She has almost certainly faced discrimination at the hands of humans and very likely lives on her own in the wilderness as a result.

As for story hooks, I've got some ideas, but I'm more attached to the core premise than any particular story idea, so if you have another suggestion I'm all ears. I think I'll throw those down at the bottom of the post along with the other things I've previously mentioned.

And on the topic of whether or not to use character pictures, I'm leaning towards "no" myself, simply because... well, it limits what I can make this monster woman look like if I have to find a matching picture. Of course, I don't mind if my partner would prefer to use one, but I wouldn't make it a requirement by any means.

Finally (though I'm sure I've forgotten something or another, and if you have any questions not answered here please ask), issues like post length and rate. I don't think a 1 on 1 rp needs to have hard and fast rules on these. Sometimes a post warrants more of a beefy reply, sometimes a quick response is all that's needed to keep things moving, but I would prefer to know that my partner is at least putting effort into it, so I'd prefer we strive for at least two or three paragraphs under most circumstances, with longer replies ALWAYS welcome. Good use of adjectives and adverbs are encouraged. In general, the more you give me to work with, the more I can give back and vice versa.

In regards to post rate, I think for a long term game it's effectively impossible to set a fixed rate we'll both be able to consistently adhere to. I'd say a post a week should be the minimum bar without some kind of warning in advance. Ideally I'd prefer at least 2-3 posts a week, but I understand we can't predict the future and that may not always be possible. Plus, sometimes a post requires more time and thought put into it than others. Of course, more frequent posts are absolutely welcome.

With that out of the way, the things I mentioned earlier:

Setting Idea
I'm picturing a dark fantasy world, where monsters are a near constant danger. Most people stick to the major cities where they're safe behind their walls, while even smaller settlements will typically have at least some wooden palisades. Only the most desperate hermit would stray too far from even these encampments. The smaller settlements would be home to mostly the brave, foolish or desperate, pursuing some industry that can't be conducted behind safer walls. These may be lumber mills or mining towns or the like. Farms and roadside inns would both also be risky places to be, but less so as the farms would be concentrated as close to the castle walls as possible, and the major roads would be patrolled regularly to protect trade routes. Inns on these roads would likely house small mercenary forces for the sake of defense. The more well defended cities would have stationary defenses such as large ballista meant for taking down dragons, and likey the presence of a mage's college, enabling the city to access magical defenses such as barrier spells. There's also a thriving but dangerous industry to be had for monster hunters, who largely ply their trade for the smaller settlements that can't afford such luxuries, keeping the local beasties in check and occasionally defending a town against an attack. Magic would be something that most have to learn through academic study, though divine magics could be performed by the truly faithful, and a rare few people may be born with an innate and intuitive understanding of magic. While all of this has focused primarily on humans, I would be perfectly happy including sentient non-human races such as elves, dwarves, etc.

Content Suggestions

BDSM: I'm always interested in exploring stories featuring healthy and consensual depictions of BDSM, as opposed to the stereotypical image that gets put out by nonsense like stuff like 50 Shades. So, I certainly wouldn't mind having the main protagonists explore this sort of thing as their relationship develops. I imagine the monster would likely be the more dominant of the pair in the bedroom, but I'm entirely willing to play her as a switch, though I do feel as though she'd need to become extremely comfortable and trusting to be that vulnerable around a human.

Futa/Herm/Dickgirl/Whatever: For the life of me I can never figure out a name to use for this which doesn't come off as kind of weird or even degrading, but that's neither here nor there. Similarly to the above, I'm actually interested in playing less fetishized versions of these sorts of characters. Maybe it boils down to my own gender, being a non-binary trans woman, but I've always disliked the notion that a character like this is inherently a fetish and so I'm always eager to disprove that notion and have a character like this that is actually a well-rounded character and not just a walking penis with tits. Still, I'm fully willing to play the character as a typical cisgender woman if preferred... at least as typical as a monster lady can be considered. (Additionally, I'm open to the blind girl falling under this category.)

Impregnation (Maybe): Obviously would most likely require the above, and it's admittedly something I'm mixed about. I don't really have any particular kink regarding pregnancy itself, it's not really a particular turn on for me. But for a long running story, I would be open to the characters potentially having kids at some point (of course, they'd be kept good and far away from the sexual content) and I'd be lying if I said the actual act of impregnating someone (especially for a pairing like this) isn't a bit of a turn on. Honestly, there's something I find extra sweet about more unconventional pairings like this having kids.

Sizeplay: Admittedly, this one is almost a given, lol. The degree in which it's emphasized can vary, of course, but if the monster is 7-8', then there is very likely going to be a clear cut size difference between her and human girl. I can't lie, I've got a thing for pairings with a significant size disparity like that.

Rough/Passionate Sex: While I am absolutely down for some slow, gentle love-making, sometimes even the most sweet and romantic pairings need some deep passionate screwing. To me, there's few scenes more sexy than when the romantic and sexual build up between two characters finally boils over into some hard "wake the neighbors" sex.

Plot Hooks

  • A young highborn woman must depart the only home she has ever known and travel through danger infested lands to take part in an arranged marriage for the sake of a political alliance. Along the way, her caravan is attacked and though she survives, she is left blind, and soon finds herself at the mercy of a monster, whether she realizes it or not.
  • A blind priestess on a pilgrimage is separated from her traveling companions and finds herself lost in the wilderness. Eventually she stumbles upon a guide, who strangely refuses to get too close to any towns or villages, but agrees to see her through her journey, at least until they can find her previous companions.
  • A monster hunter is hired to track down and dispatch a humanoid creature that's been terrifying the residents of a small settlement. The encounter does not go as planned and the hunter is blinded by her would-be prey. Surprising perhaps the both of them, however, the monster takes pity on the hunter and spares her life.

I think each has potential and different appeals. With the first, there's the looming question of what will become of the woman's promised marriage and the political ramifications thereof. The second leaves a lot of room open to decide things like what the priestess' faith might say about monsters or other aspects of their developing relationship. Finally, the third is probably the biggest departure from my original idea, as it presumably opens with the blind character KNOWING that the monster is a monster, while in the other stories they would only know her by voice at first. I do feel like this potentially takes something away from the story, but on the other hand, the idea of the two of them beginning as mortal enemies, and having the monster be the responsible for the blinding, lends its own interesting appeal.

Of course, as mentioned previously, these are suggestions and I'm open to others!

Edit: Oh, and I should specify, PM me if you're interested!

Edit Edit: Oh, I should be clear on this, but I'm intending to play the monster, lol. That feels like probably something I should have stated more prominently, and I JUST realized that I didn't.
O/O: I was going to make a barebones F-list as a rough summary, but then it logged me out and I lost my progress, so I made a VERY barebones F-list instead: Here.
