Apocalypse Happening

Premise:  It can be World War Z, Aliens, Plague, or whatever, Let's discuss it.... My character was a soldier Your character is a civilian maybe? (The choice is yours). My unit fell apart, all command structure is gone, comms are down, and we are retreating/surviving in a Western (US, Canada, or Mexico) wasteland.  Most citizens fled the area to the safety of the East Coast days ago. Only the crazy, the desperate, stubborn, and dangerous remain. Maybe our goal is to get your character across the country for some reason? Or maybe your character is the key to fixing things locally so my character is tasked with assisting you?

My Character: In over her head and is trying to be calm, cool, and act like she has everything under control. She is slowly falling apart inside. Sgt. Isabel Cross, Female, 26 yrs, Sergeant with the Army National Guard. Drives a modified 2012 Victory High-Ball Motorcycle with saddle bags. For weapons she carries the ranger issued M4A1 carbine, M9 Beretta, and MK 3 Navy Knife 6". She has 10 clips for each kept in her saddle bags, it's all she could grab before evacuating.

Your Character: Can be whatever you choose but ideally is someone that has: some information, is a government official, a scientist, or something that gives us a goal to accomplish. It would be beneficial if your character is likeable and a generally good person. Open for discussion.

Themes and Outlook: Looking for this plot to focus on scavenging for survival, bonding, possible romantic relationship, working toward shared goal...
