Comin out of stasis, a group of amnesiac women find themselves awakening to world where the apocalypse has come and gone, leaving its lands in the grip of an iniquitous Dark Age - one where science and reasoning have been replaced by barbarism and sorcery.  Civilization struggles to form once again as all lands are torn by marauding bandits and vainglorious warlords.  Whilst people fail to unite, monsters swarm through all corners, turning world into their personal playground of sin, lust, and wanton destruction.  Amidst all this hardship, even good people fall back upon their baser desires, seeking immediate fulfillment rather than toil for a better future that never seems to come.  Before this small group can even figure out who they are and what has befallen the world, they become the prey of whatever dark rulers seek to keep the world in its present state.  It is this hunt that hints at their importance and potential threat, but before they can find out anything about themselves and the world about them, they must learn to work together and survive.

AP Inspirations: Iron Gods (Technology), Kingmaker (Kingdom-building), Strange Eons/Tyrant's Grasp (General darkness & weirdness); Other Inspirations: Fallout 1 & 2, Planescape Torment, Silent Hill, Zelda Breath of the Wild

Genre: Dark Fantasy.  Fantasy with grim themes and (non-sexual) horror elements.
Category: Extreme.  Whilst the game's smut content will frequently be vanilla or edgier half the time, the other half features breeding/impreg, dub/non-con, bestiality (non-sentient & semi-sentient), knotting, oviposition, and stuff not for everyone.  Players will not be subjected to anything that is an 'Off' for them.

Build Guidelines | House Rules

Player Info: All characters begin with complete amnesia (this is a change to the original prompt, after figuring out what I wanted to do with the story).  All characters remember that they were human, though some will have changed (if you chose a non-human race).  Despite being blank, they possess skills and abilities that they use reflexively at first - their body and subconscious remembers even though they do not - this, at least, hints that they should have had some sort of profession at some point.  Their learn their names from that which is inscribed on their stasis sarcophagus in which they were sleeping.  Trying to actively remember anything before they woke up just draws one big blank.

OTHER
Adversaries & Personalities:  For the most part, PCs will generally be dealing with humanoids (human), but (giant), (goblinoid), and (orc) will feature with some frequency.  For non-humanoids, you can expect: Animals, Fey, Monstrous Humanoid, Outsider (Evil, Native), Plants, Undead, and Vermin to make marked appearances.  If you really go looking in out of the way places, you can find Aberrations, Dragons, and Oozes to a lesser (but probably memorable) extent.

Terrain: PCs can expect to deal with Cold, Desert, Forest, Plains, and Swamp on a regular basis.  They may have to visit the others on occasion.  Some parts of the world will be alignment- or element-dominant as per planar places.

Recruitment
Due to my temporary absence, I'm going to leave this open and running for 1 more week (ending Thursday 11th) before plucking up PCs and starting things up.

  Good morning.

This is a generally exciting idea.  What's with the two lists for gestalt classes?  Before i saw that I was going to offer to pitch a paladin/sorceress.

Hello Muse, thanks for dropping by!  Originally, I was going to allow a free-choice gestalt option, but after looking over my prompt a few times, I realized what I'm ultimately going for was a sort Witcher-meets-Breath of the Wild inspired setting, where individuals have a basic set (mostly represented by the classes on List B) of skill and/or utilitarian abilities so that they're not completely out of their depth when they don't have the support of the fellow members.

I hope that makes things a little clearer.

Hello helvorn and welcome!  Feel free to pitch the type of character you'd be interested in playing and feel free to ask for help or any information you feel you need!

I'd like to pitch you an alchemist/gunslinger concept, but if no one else brings out a divine caster i'd be happy to switch for cleric/bard, and be one of Sarenrae's dervishes.  (With your dexterity to damage rule, will a 5th level gunslinger add dexterity to damage twice?  Or maybe dexterity + wisdom, since wisdom covers perception?)

There are major amnesia themes here.  How much character history should we include?

Correct.  A 5th level gunslinger with would get Dex + Wis to damage with her chosen weapon, though only the Dex mod to damage would be considered precision-based damage that could be negated by anything that blocks sneak attack damage (such as the fortification armor ability).

At some point (say late teens or early 20s) your character was kneeling to take an oath of allegiance (along with others) for an upcoming war.  PCs memories grow hazy the day after the ceremony when they were getting ready to head off to the front lines.  Everything up to the point is fairly clear.  In the interim, PCs may have aged a bit or not very much, from that point to when they wake up at present date.

  Cool, okay.

And I gather we did't grow up on Golarion, but the deities are the same?

I might look into this a bit more tomorrow. Helvorn and Muse are awesome players. :)

Edit: I'm currently leaning towards a cleric/monk or a paladin/sorcerer

No problem!  Just be sure to read the build guidelines, as I have not included the paladin, and the gestalt classes are chosen between two lists.

I was wondering if a chevalier/samurai character would be able to select from the wider category of animal companions for mounts. For example I was thinking of having a war bull.
What a thrill...with silence and darkness through the night....

I'd be open to it.  The character will probably have to find the companion first.

Noted. I'll go make some personal idea revisions. :)

Edit: Maybe some sort of Monk/Druid?

Ixy

I'm curious about how the group pans out, and would like to submit an idea in a day or so for your review. I noted that Sorcerers are not on the list of Classes A or B, and I wasn't sure if this was intentional or not. Could you clarify, just for curiosity's sake?

Inaccurate Sheet
Marie

Sheet Link: https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1935518
Name: Marie Oakfield, Leyline Acolyte
Age: 22
Race: Human
Class: Unchained Monk/Druid (Menhir Savant)
Orientation: Bisexual, leaning towards women
Personality: Marie tends to be rather solemn as a person, but she has a rather sweet heart past that. Few expect one with such a straight-laced tone to be so sensual. Then again, intimate relationships between grove members were a very common thing in the group. However, she has never really gotten used to city situations if her usual garb is anything to go by.
Bio: Marie was born what would mostly be a normal human family. However, her mother, Sasha Oakfield, was a high-ranking member of a grove of druids called The Order of Leylines. The special group was a collection of only women that had a special connection to the leylines that ran through the ground itself. The group refined their bodies to mirror the very energies they worshiped. Hence, Marie's white hair noted that she had successfully inherited such a potential from her mother and she was brought to train upon being old enough. Due to always having a strong bond with her mother, she took to their teachings rather quickly and the group noted her possible potential to be as great as Sasha. While not a violent group of people, The Order of the Leylines were eventually called upon for a very important war. They only accepted as they could sense a vastly malignant force on the rise that needed to be stopped.

Let me look and see what makes sense to me.

Maybe some kind of sexy, crazy barbarian mix?

You can sketch it out on an online stat sheet or (if you've got a neat format) do it up here.  In addition to the stats, a little about your character's personality and (pre-amnesia) history, as well as description/picture (no realistic photos please).  On the whole, I'm looking for characters that have roleplaying potential rather than optimized stats.
Another minor question... regarding the picture not being realistic:  is there a style you'd prefer?

Deepest apologies. I just realized I picked two classes from the A-list. Going to be revising monk to something else quickly.

Edit: Having a bit of a hard time though since nothing on the B-list really meshes well with druid.

The one posted by Yugishogun is a good baseline, but generally, as long as its not an actual photograph of someone, I'm good with it.

Sounds awesome.  Now that I'm more awake than I was before, I have had the chance to update the class lists on both fronts, so it might be worth having another look.

Bio: Marie was born what would mostly be a normal human family. However, her mother, Sasha Oakfield, was a high-ranking member of a grove of druids called The Order of Leylines. The special group was a collection of only women that had a special connection to the leylines that ran through the ground itself.
