CLOSED - THIS ROLE HAS BEEN TAKEN

Hello, Elliquians!

This is another one my one-off ideas that I am advertising to find a partner for. Before you get too far into reading this though, please keep in mind that I have no intention to make this a "traditional" request thread. I'd like to keep this simple and centered around this single idea. If you're interested in getting to learn more about me, what I write, and how I write, please feel free to check out my post history, or check out my O/O's.

Now, before I start detailing my idea, I'd like to also take a moment to lay out some of my requirements, in terms of what I am looking for in a partner:

- Literacy & Post Length - If you do your homework, and take a moment to search through my post history, you will find that I can easily flesh out quite a few paragraphs. That being pointed out, I will not take on a partner who can't match my post length. I'm sorry, but I don't believe that you can do a post justice with only a few sentences / a small paragraph. I am definitely more of a quality over quantity type of gal, the grand scheme of things though. We all make mistakes. By no means am I some grammar nazi. I just ask that you at least try to make an effort to proofread before posting a reply.

- Frequency - I'm looking for someone who can, at minimum, reply once every couple of days. Preferably, someone who can post once a day. Keep in mind that I try to post at least once a day, but sometimes it does end up taking me a few days, depending on how crazy work has been.

- Characters - I am looking for someone to play a male, who will be paired with my female character. I don't care what gender my partner is, as long as they are willing to play this role/sex.

- Story over smut - I think this is pretty self-explanatory. I prefer to focus on the story. That's not to say I don't enjoy a good sex scene, but if we're constantly in smut, I'm going to get bored.

- Enhancing the story - Keep in mind that this idea is meant to be left vague in certain places. What I want is for someone to come in and add to the male character's history and personality. Everyone is different, and by no means do I want to restrict my partner to a detailed, set-in-stone character. I do have a few things about this male character that I prefer not to change, however, and I will explain those very soon.

Just as a warning - this is a very cheesy, romance story. So if you're not at all into that stuff, don't bother to read this lol

The Story

You character is a businessman, and has been working directly as the head of his father's corporation ever since he graduated from college. He's all business. Obsessed with work, and obsessed with the idea of becoming better than his father ever was by taking the company to bigger and better heights. His father is now an old, elderly man, but still holds a large majority of shares in the company. It's been a long time since your character took over, and he's been pressuring his father to hand over his shares to him, so that he can make the big decisions without having to run everything through his father. In truth, his father is a very controlling man, and even in old age, he continues to hold on to what control he can. Your character and his father have a hard relationship with one another - which is a big reason why your character is the way he is. So, getting back to the shares - the father makes a deal with your character. If he gets married, then as a wedding gift, he will give half of his shares to your character, and the other half to his wife. Now, this will make you character the majority shareholder, but it will make the potential wife the second largest shareholder in the company, which gives her some power as well. It's also a power-move on the father's part. First and foremost, he knows that his son is too obsessed with work to find a decent woman, and second, the father knows that the son will have to choose damn well, since he'll be giving company power to a woman who could very well roll over on her husband by teaming up with another large shareholder to make big decisions. The son is of course furious with this deal. There isn't a single woman out there whom he can trust to give that kind of power over to, and his father knows that.

My character is a wealthy doctor - an orthopedic surgeon, to be exact. Like her father before her, she's made quite the reputation for herself as a surgeon and is very well recognized in the medical community. She had a very different relationship with her father than your character. She and her father were very close, and unfortunately, her father passed while she was still in medical school. His death was sudden and it was very devastating to Michelle, especially since she has no other living family. But she continued following in her father's footsteps as a surgeon - which, her father was a world-famous surgeon in the field, where people would travel from all over just to work with him. Naturally, someone with this kind of family lineage had a lot of expectations on them coming into the field, and Michelle has lived up to all of those expectations. She's also a workaholic, but that's mostly due to how lonely she is.

How do these two characters meet, you ask? Well, Michelle finds out after suddenly becoming ill that she has leukemia, and the only way she can survive is to go through a bone marrow transplant surgery, which first requires her to find a match (donor). The chances of finding a match are one in a million, but being so well connected in the medical community, someone finds her the match, which just so happens to be your character. The local hospital reaches out to your character, and explains that they have a patient who is in need of a donor, and he just happens to be the only match in their system. I kind of wanted him to be an ass about it, and he just turns it down. Michelle finds out, and since she has access to the medical file, she flies out to his city and hunts him down herself. Now, keep in mind that she's totally going against the whole confidentiality thing regarding his medical file - because I totally hoped he would throw that in her face as a threat. Granted, when he sees her, he immediately wonders if they could help one another out. If she marries him, and agrees to support him with her shares in the company, then he will donate his bone marrow to save her life. It's a business deal, essentially. Michelle, not at all happy with the arrangement, but she agrees. Of course, they have to make this look real in front of his father, which means they have to move in together, etc. What starts out as a business deal soon buds into a real relationship. After all, Michelle is a gorgeous, intelligent woman. She suddenly becomes one of the best things that have happened to him.
