Coffee Shop Accident

The time was about 5:00pm on a Friday in late April. I had just gotten off of work and decided to go to a coffee shop and get a cup of chia tea to take home and relax while catching up on some old reading I hadn't finished in ages. The rain was pouring down and a roar of distant thunder could be heard echoing through the city streets above the din of the rush hour traffic. As I turned to leave giving a small cheers to the barista I was opening the door when I felt a figure crash into me and spill my hot tea all over my violet button down shirt and tan khaki pants.
