This is your new boyfriend. The new BF722 by Life Technologies. This android is the 722nd version of the myBoyfriend line, a very popular line which has faced much controversy in the future Earth world of 2255 (year). With human men and women having grown tired of trying to date; having grown exasperated with trying to find their ideal mate the hard way; Life Technologies’s myBoyfriend line allows women to pick and choose their ideal hunk. Similarly, Life produces a second line called the myGirlfriend. But this is where our story begins.

Your character (YC) normally would have never purchased a myBoyfriend, but lately having just broken up with her cheating boyfriend, she has decided to give the new myBoyfriend a try. Upon traveling to the mall, she enters a Life store and peruses the many myBoyfriend models. She settles on one in which she likes, oblivious to the android’s origins and the company’s methods for manufacturing them. Little does she know, her myBoyfriend was a refurbished super soldier prototype created by a contracted developer by the name of Duke who engineers weapons for the United States government. The prototype was about to be delivered to the scrapyard when Life Technologies stolesaved the prototype, believing its sophisticated technology could be used to innovate the myBoyfriend line.

Upon activating her new myBoyfriend, YC gets a feeling that her myBoyfriend is different from others, but she is uncertain for she never owned one before. He wears a stoic and disciplined expression and seems very protective of her. His reactivation sets off alarms at Duke. Duke sends out agents to find and capture the android, leading YC into a situation she wasn’t hoping to be in. As agents try to silence her to make her forget what she’s seen, her boyfriend actively protects her through the chaos and begins to demonstrate signs of what could be actual human emotion. Perhaps her myBoyfriend is more than just a silly toy to her after all.
