Date Me, Please! is Altear’s premier dating show. In a world as diverse as ours, it can be something of a challenge to find someone to love. When the possibilities are endless, it’s easy to be discouraged when you have difficulties. That’s why we’re here.

Contestants are brought into situations and events designed to put them into uncomfortable and unfamiliar territory, both to entertain, and to help them grow as individuals. Contestants are housed in a secluded mansion, sleeping in dormitory style rooms, split by gender, and cameras will be following them just about everywhere. Every day will have a major event that will earn them some sort of reward, from money to be used in one of the show’s shops and bars, to a lovely date for you and an individual of your choice, to something as simple as being able to have a bedroom to yourself for a while.

Game Outline

Mechanically, Date Me, Please! is like a cross between Love Connection and Big Brother. It is a reality show where the contestants are looking for love, while entertaining the men and women of Altear, a land much like our own, only that the mythical and supernatural are commonplace. While the ultimate goal is to find love, we’re not guaranteeing it will happen. Sometimes, people will leave the show early for various reasons. So if there’s no one in the current lineup that you fancy, don’t be discouraged. Should a position open, (like, say, someone drops the game or wants to try a different character) we will do our damnedest to find the cream of the crop to replace them. Hopefully that situation won't come up too often, though. This game is going to be largely sandbox, with a bit of direction where needed. There will be regular events, as mentioned earlier, but it will mostly be centered around the interactions between the various players. As such, we'll hopefully have plenty of drama, plenty of laughs, and a hell of a lot of fun.

Emi beat me to the punch. But yes, they can be whatever you want them to be, so long as they are anthropomorphic. So, the range of acceptable can go from

full human

to

anthropomorphic

.

A good rule of thumb would probably be "More human than animal." Though, one thing worth mentioning. Characters who can shift their form (like, say, a werewolf, or a fae that is taking a more mundane form to fit into the rules) will be allowed a "true" form they can turn into, if you so desire.

Personality: Friendly and if not a little odd. Alice has absolutely no understanding of social niceties and personal space. She's extremely curious by nature and fun loving. Alice can sometimes be hard to understand as her planet language mostly consists of sharp screeches and whistles. The young alien is fairly new to the romance scene and is still learning, she is slightly naive in her understanding of sexual relations.

Bio: Born on the tiny planet of Dyonicblastoid.05 A!y¥teP is an extremely rare female of her species. The planet only has a minuscule population of 500 alien life forms and out of that not even half are known as female. Therefor when a girl is born it is a cause for celebration. From the moment they are classed as mature the female is courted by the males, it is ultimately her choice who she goes with and her decision is final. Alice was what you would call a late bloomer, in the fact that even though she was mature at five teen she was no where near ready emotionally.

Alice rejected suiter after suiter. The male aliens began to get disgruntled. Most females had chosen by 18 year old...all except Alice and she began to get ridiculed and bullied, this led her to lean towards a negative outlook on romance and love for the next few years. While watching television broad cast through space station and satellites one day the female saw the advert for the dating show and Alice saw an opportunity. First she had to beg her parents, who until she mated she was "encouraged" to live with, to get a meeting with her planets elders.

Once the meeting was arranged it was just a case of Alice portraying a sad story of a lost female who just had too many fine, strong males to choose from and didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. If she could just experiment outside of her planet and learn more about romance Alice was sure she would be able to return home to settle down. Secretly though Alice saw the show as a way of escaping the demands of her home planet.....would she actually find love? Only time will tell!

Quite intrigued... but I think I might wait a bit before expressing any proper interest.
Roleplays like this tend to be more about the characters/personalities than the initial setup plot, and I can't really say I'm interested or not until I get a better idea of what sort of characters are going to be around.
