About: 
Dom hails from a long line of blue collar workers who worked for every cent they ever made. Growing up as the "poor kid" in school never bothered him but it also meant he stuck out more than he belonged. Dom dated a few girls and then fell in love with Selena Cruz.

Selena was a princess and Dom was the first guy not to put her up on a pedestal.  It was a whirlwind romance. Passionate, gritty and wild. Dom was the kind of guy who could turn a prissy little Spanish princess on her head, and Selena loved him for it. The fact that her family disapproved of him just made it so much better. They were together on and off, Selena loved to constantly break up with him just for the intense make-up sex, for years until at twenty-one Selena found out she was pregnant. They married shortly after, and it was like the ending of a fairy tale.

Except life went on once the book was closed. Things were fine until Serena turned eight. Her parents bickered, but no more than normal parents would. They were affectionate, in love, happy. Then something changed, something snapped in Selena, and the occasional bickering turned to frequent screaming matches. Suddenly Dom's growing business and increasing wealth weren't enough to satisfy Selena's lifestyle. She craved the glitz and glam of Hollywood. She didn't want to be just a wife and a mother, she wanted to be an actress. She pursued that dream, but the small parts in commercials or as an extra in a B-rate movie just weren't enough. She wanted to be a star. She wanted a life of luxury out in Hollywood.

Serena was twelve when her mother ran off, and the divorce papers she sent through the mail was the last she and her father ever heard of her. She never said goodbye to her only daughter, never called or wrote. If it weren't for the occasional calls Selena placed to Serena's grandmother looking for money, no one would even know she was alive. Serena's still close with her mother's side of the family, especially her Abuella, but she hasn't spoken to or of her mother since freshman year of high school. It's a sore subject for her, a wound that never quite healed right.

Dom buried himself in his work and emerged a year later with a new look in life. Deep down he still loves Selena even if she infuriates him to no end but there is no future for them. Chalking it up to a loss and reason not to marry again, it didn't take long for that same bad little playboy in him to awaken and find he had aged well and went grey in all the right places.
