Power Rangers: Return of the Mighty (Only taking support slots)

Hi all, I'm considering starting up a Power Rangers group and have come up with a basic idea.

The Story

After the defeat of Venjix the RPM Power Rangers left Corinth, each going different directions with small groups of military and civilian forces to start new havens and reclaim the planet. However unaware that Venjix had placed itself in the Series Red Morpher, the Rangers took Venjix with them when they left Corinth. After two years of biding their time and strength, Venjix' forces regrouped un-dugged bodies of King Mondo's foot soldiers the Cog's, and attacked a town that Scott was in charge of defending. The ambush forced Scott to morph and released Venjix in the process giving him a new and powerful body.

While Venjix attacked the recently constructed town a small unit of soldiers managed to escape and return to Corinth to report to Mason Truman and Dr. K about the surprise attack and the fate of Scott. Dr. K informed the other Rangers and the remaining six Rangers moved in to confront and destroy Venjix once and for all. However in the time it took the Rangers to arrive, Venjix had learned from Scott and understood that bonds could form strong soldiers and also make the Rangers weak. Using this to his advantage, Venjix used his new body and voice to make the Rangers hesitate in their attacks and captured each of the Rangers.

One week later Ziggy returned to Corinth and killed Dr. K then returned to Venjix. In turn, using the newly built town as a base of operations, Venjix executed each Ranger publicly and in secret infected the morphers with his virus. However unknown to Venjix or even the other Rangers, Dr. K had been working with another scientist, Dr. Tommy Oliver who has extensive Knowledge of the Morphing Grid, Power Coins and Zeo Crystals. Together the pair crafted six new Morphers with the intent of rebuilding the Space Patrol Forces to help keep the planet safe. However before a crippled Tommy could get the Morpher's to Corinth he went missing. His son and former SPD Green Dragon Ranger, JJ found five of the Morphers and brought them to Corinth to offer them to five new Rangers and help mentor them in their new role.

I'd like to know if anyone would be interested in playing, still need a black Ranger and maybe some supporting cast. (Would be willing to let players double up for supporting cast and rangers.)

I'd also like to know what everyone's top 3 favorite group suits are to get a feel for what sort of uniforms and Zords should be used. If there is a tie I'll be tie breaker but won't put my opinion up unless asked otherwise. I do have an idea for this story but nothing set in stone so feel free to put your ideas up here too. There is no reason this couldn't be a group built story! If you're interested please drop a message!

Other Info

-The Rangers will first have to learn to work as a team.
-They will then go to six cities and have to liberate them from Venjix Control.
-Corinth will act as a hub base for the Rangers, protected by JJ and a second force of Rangers that has yet to be decided upon.
-Venjix isn't the only major villain to be used and one or two more may show up.
-Mighty Morphin' Suits and Zords will be used.
-This will be in the Extreme setting for use of heavy violence and language.
-Venjix was in power for three years.
-Venjix laid in wait for one year then attacked again, it has been once year since then when the series starts.

-Mind Games: JJ has history as an under cover officer and likes to play mind games with others.
-Books: Being the child of a teacher and a scientist, JJ learned to have a love for reading.
-Criminals: With two parents that were Rangers, and joining the Space Patrol's B team, JJ strongly dislikes Criminals.
-Cyborgs: JJ doesn't trust Cyborgs and Robots after the Venjix virus and attack.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
-Leader: JJ's father is one of, if not the most well known Ranger in history and JJ learned a lot living in Tommy's Shadow, developing into a strong leader of in his own rights.
-Hand to Hand: JJ is a highly trained and skilled martial artist.
-Under Cover: Being an Under Cover agent for most of his adult life, JJ knows how to read people and blend in.

-Marksman: Due to his role as the hand to hand fighter and under cover agent, JJ isn't very accurate with ranged weapons.
-Lone Wolf: JJ isn't used to working tightly with a team since he's often deep under cover. While he is good at leading he doesn't like to be questioned and is learning to deal with people in a kinder way.
-No Zord: After the Space Patrol was destroyed his Zord was as well, forcing him to be a foot soldier and taking away a big part of his ranger arsenal.

Character Personality:
JJ is a brash, commanding man with a good heart and quick mind. He carries himself proudly, happy that he is his fathers son in many ways. Almost as good in a hand to hand fight, almost as natural of a leader, and just as confident in his skills. He's come to Corinth to help the new set of Rangers come to grips with their new powers and guide them until he is no longer needed or Venjix is destroyed once and for all.

Character History:
Son of Dr. Tommy Oliver and Kat Hillard Oliver, JJ Oliver was raised by two loving parents and two former Power Rangers. While his mother went to become a teacher, his father developed two new sets of morphers and remained a semi active Power Ranger until the Space Patrol was established thirteen years after Tommy gained his Green Ranger Powers.

Following in his fathers footsteps, JJ learned a series of martial arts including Kung-Fu and Roman Wrestling. In addition he joined the Space Patrol as quickly as he could and became an Under Cover Agent. Credited with bringing down a woman called "The Witch" and saving Angel Grove from an old Enemy, JJ earned a Morpher and the role of leader of the B team of Space Patrol. Sent to Triforia on an under cover mission, JJ missed the Initial Venjix attack and arrived just in time to discover his father had developed new Morphers for a new team of Rangers after S.P. was destroyed by the Venjix virus.

I went on wikipedia and there are like 600 different versions of the show since I first started watching it as a kid, and I quit watching it before Zeo, so I'm not even sure which of these your synopsis is derived from or if it's an original concept. Are we needing to have followed all the continuities to be able to participate?

Mathim, the concept is from a mass of different continuities including the comics, you don't need to know anything and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. Knowledge of the various seasons will never hurt but the only thing you would need to look up would be RPM if you feel you need major Knowledge.

I already have a character I'd really love to use, but will probably need some editing. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of overall setting you come out with.

What rangers will be available? Can I play a White ranger? >D

And perhaps maybe we can find our own suits? How strict to the original setting are you keeping it? Are they all going to be teenagers?

Rangers Available? If you mean suits I am going to leave it up to the over all votes, I think the Zords and suit's should look somewhat uniform and match.

I don't see why you couldn't use White, I considered the Suits from that sentai but if you want the White Tiger we would use the Thunder Zords instead of the original Mighty Morphin' luckily they all ran with the MMPR era stuff, however that would also mean the Dragon Zord wouldn't be able to combine with anything or the White Tiger wouldn't be able to. So while I'd have no issue with you playing the White Ranger, I'd also like to see one of the original five as well for now, either way is fine.

No they don't have to be teenagers and by all means keep them all adults, this is going to be a a world torn by war and the rangers should be a little seasoned or a little child like. I see no reason that both can't be in the team.

Suits will for sure come from JJ since he's coming to the city of Corinth to give the morphers to new rangers.

I'm not sure what colors are still available since there seems to be conflicting indications; I might be interested if there's still room but I need to know for sure what my options are.

@Mathim - I believe the two colours left are red and black.  I’d be fine with either, so I’ll take whichever one you don’t choose.

Edit: Nevermind, it’s 5 rangers max.  I’ll take a supporting cast role instead.
