We have that every year. Hubby got it some years back and was in hospital for months, forgot how to walk and had to have rehab to relearn it. Almost died, so its scary shit. So if you suspect you got it? see a doc asap. We suspected something when he was running a fever and just slept for 2 days then fell in the bathroom and couldn't get up. So called an ambulance and the doc straight up said, if we hadn't Matt would have died.

Okay - this is pretty big.  Walmart will no longer be selling 'short-barrel rifle ammunition that can be used in military-style weapons', handgun ammunition, and is ceasing the sale of handguns in Alaska (which is the only place where they were currently still selling handguns).

They are also requesting that customers refrain from open-carry in their stores, even in areas where open-carry is permitted, unless authorized law-enforcement officers are present.

Comes down to risk and perception.. folks won't shop where they perceive they Aint safe.. so the shit head gun nuts can whine.. but Walmart's board is looking at the numbers and it goes another way than the way they like. Tough. I'm all for gun ownership but I also get that Walmart had to choose what was best for their bottom line.

This.  Walmart got hit with a threat to their bottom line.  Calls for boycotts, possibly - but the very tangible fact that people are/were scared to go to Walmart after the three incidents (two actual shootings, and one of the aforementioned toddlers striding into a Walmart in body armor and packing heat 'just because "open carry" said he could'.)  When their first reaction was 'Derp - let's not have violent video game demos running', employees staged a walk-out and the Internet went '... Really?  Video games?  Brah, please.  #BoycottWalmart'
